Caleb Williams showed significant improvement under new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown, enduring a tough Vikings defense with a 10 of 13 completion rate for 156 yards, two touchdowns, and zero sacks against the blitz. The offense looked more fluid and organized, with Williams displaying confidence on third downs.
The game featured several dramatic moments, including an onside kick return for a touchdown and a Hail Mary catch by Terry McLaurin. The Cowboys defense, particularly with Micah Parsons back, improved significantly on third downs, holding the Commanders to a low success rate. The Commanders' defense struggled, allowing the Cowboys to control the game for much of the time.
Levis, despite being sacked eight times and throwing an interception, managed to lead the Titans to a win with key plays, including a perfect passer rating on play-action passes. The Titans' offensive strategy focused on deep shots and play-action, which paid off despite Levis' erratic play. The Texans, on the other hand, struggled with third-down efficiency and explosive plays allowed.
Young had one of his best games, completing 11 of 14 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown against the blitz. The Panthers' offensive line and run game also showed improvement, with Chuba Hubbard contributing effectively. Despite the loss, Young's decisiveness and improved play were encouraging signs for the Panthers.
The Seahawks' defense held the Cardinals to minimal successful rushes and effectively contained Kyler Murray, forcing him into frustrating situations. Leonard Williams had a standout game with two and a half sacks and three TFLs. This performance suggests the Seahawks' defense is improving and could be a key factor in the competitive NFC West.
