What is your daddy game? IT is your founding father, alex Cooper, with call her. Chase craford, welcome to color.

Da di, thank all. Yes, I am so .

excited to meet you. Okay, you have to tell a little bit of the back story though, because you were to tell me downstairs that you kind of wear of an and like.

I need to help myself and i'm so excited. Alice, no, I was telling. Like, maybe I saved for the podcast, but i'm an og daddy fcc, I be like you.

I be like walk of my dog. I always listen to pack. I was like, who are these? You guys, we're giving insane advice IT was amazing because you weren't giving like just this class route advice to women. You're like, fuck get this is how we're seeing.

This is what the guys we're seeing in new york, whatever, right? And then I like in new york, obviously. So but but yeah but you guys are like, this is how we're seeing IT.

This is the real stuff we're going to give give out. This is how you play IT. This is our advice.

This is what works for us. And I thought I was the best thing. I laughed. I thought I was amazing. I would listen to like four fall.

like four, five. I was. So you've really.

I was in by the whole thing. yeah. M O G, I love your new stuff. I love all the.

oh, you are all the way back. And like the blow .

job tips like you yeah yeah actually I couldn't turn IT off mazing.

It's really you're giving everyone that like the information that the world needs is the hard heating facts. I appreciate you're sharing that also a picture you like walking your dog being like that was like the funny at the O G days when I was so graphic that people would be like my airports got disconnected in at work and it's you have to suck the living shit .

out and I like the blue yes, little walking my dog is very like, think, wow, oh my god. What a great point is.

I'm really interested because every time I meet, you have no idea what to expect. Like with you, I was interested to know, like, is he going to be extroverted? Is he going to be introverted? Like would you say in your life you're an extravert person?

I'm weird. I'm weird. I am both. I like a lame answer, but I very much like I compartment alizad things.

I can really like go out and like let us. And i'm very social and I can be loud and have fun. Yes, but I like my long time. No, I I like my own bed and like i'm sort of a closet reader and the nerd and like my dog, I like one time is a little rescue they lie to to us at the rescue place. IT was like, I share him with .

the .

next girlfriend, actually.

So you're one of those.

I am one of those. Chase judg you so hard? Oh my god.

Oh my god. No, that's fucking both. That's like a full problem. When you meet someone new and you have to be like, this is like our child.

I know it's not even I mean, she's going to feel say it's not even like I know I don't think it's a weird thing at all. People think it's the funniest thing I like actually is the only way to have a dog. In fact, cast number recently, he was see a dog. You want to get a dog together.

I know how this is. That is actually mentally. So you have to see her constantly.

You know, not as often as you think. SHE have a key to my house. So a lot of times I know anywhere.

Lisa is not everything a lot of times or just like I flew out last week to go work in toronto on my k shy as named shiner after a textile beer. Very stupid. I'm like shirts in the house. Just go and there and take him, and he just goes and picks him up. I'm not even there, but sometimes, yeah, we're still like friends .

and it's great. And in on the day with the dog and SHE comes to pick IT up and has the key like you have to describe that to new women like listen, it's nothing other than just for the dog's happiness like we share her.

right? I never that happened. I guess I call him off. Sometimes he lives close by.

What if a girl said, like, I can't do this unless you guys give .

up the dog goo. I think this dog takes precedent. I think I might love that dog more than .

my future .

child chase me. I'm not. I die for that.

They guess .

you like that. They really.

I, I how would your friends describe you to like someone that they wanted to set you up with? Like.

how are your friends describing you? I don't know. That's a very good question. Outgoing, funny, hopefully you know I I quite like to think I can cook a little bit, but if they were being honest, I don't know. Maybe maybe you know is a bad texter, maybe i'm not that i'm being honest. I'm not that great.

you know. I think that's a good sign though. I think if you treat a woman really well in person and then sometimes you're not a bad texture but you're open about IT, right?

Like that's okay. Like math, my partner is like my husband is like, yes, yeah, no. He's not a good texture at all. The beginning days I was like to see fucking hate me.

I told now I know .

I like appreciated that he's not on his phone twenty four seven and being one of those friends, like.

are you on your phone? No, twenty four, seven, five x i'm not no, I like to leave IT it's always on vibrate. I'm trying to be always attached to IT so over think I like anxian don't know to do so sometimes I like for I really forget to like former response you I got to get back to that so forget about IT is terrible and .

i'm just that kind of how I am i'm a little .

scatter with the texting but deeding that's your biggest red flag about texter what Green you know my access or maybe my my say i'm bad community that kind of .

ties in but i've learned.

yeah you ve we love a vulnerable .

man that can like tap into his emotions in his feelings. What are you doing on a saturday night with your friends?

That's a good question. Usually what do I do last weekend like like my body like this next saturday he does like sixty. He says he's big. Like lunch.

He is at juan and this we all bring a bar of the wine and IT, but it's like six hours so he prefered with that I was like, I don't want to make us six hours and I went by like that. So we do this. We do these little like lunches with random different people. He's kind of in the food industry of shops. So we kind like have these interesting .

are you getting like annoyed when you're out? Like are you getting noticed all the time everywhere you go?

No, no. IT depends. I'm not like, you know, i'm not. I like the cap.

Yo level words like this said, I can have a nice pocket words. It's fun to get recognized for the gossip girl. Things still which is like still in this like three different waves of netflix.

I don't know how he keeps keeps coming around, but it's the same age you know female always like so excited. So so I do get IT sometimes in more touristy spots like venture in new york or somewhere kind of just more people from all over the place. Yes.

but it's fun that you have like a good about IT because I can imagine like I i've talked to people before on my show about like people that are have done so much in their career. But there's this one thing that people like we just can't get past IT like for you, it's gossip girl for like oh my god for other people, the oc like I know you've talked to talk and like regio bills and like it's like she's done so much in her career. But there is the one thing that people like, can we just talk about this for hours and it's like you can either just be positive about IT or like fucking hate IT, but it's what made you super famous and it's kind of fun for all of us like indulged a little bit.

I know Young you I like try everything so precious that I don't want to be like more than branda no biss girl, right? And like even the name I it's like it's it's great, great as thing yeah it's like it's this weird cultural thing of the ike I have that time to like pre instagram prall these things like the first iphone just come out like I was such a weird, amazing time in new york.

Fucking amazing. When are you in york? I was in new york, right? A like a little Younger. So I was like, new york for me was just as crazy, but like, I had my fucking iphone and IT wasn't as fun. Like, I remember college more when I was watching gossip girl.

And like high school, I was like, obsessed with IT because I grow up on the east coast. I like knew the nature of new york city, but I was not I was didn't come from like a wealthy family. So like the I was like with the fuck in hum freeze I would .

have been down in off space is like a twenty million doll. Like that's all B S. That's like like I can't .

afford like what the fuck? My first apartment in new york city was quite literally a shoe box. And i'm like, it's not looking so glamorous, but you still go out. You can still go to the similar places that's what I love about new ork is like, yeah you can go to wear descrie is or whoever the fuck in new york is cool like that where I lays a little bit more snooty where it's like you can't get in here where in new york .

is like you anyone can get in anywhere and they'll eat me like it's kind of nice because everyone is like way too cool for school. Okay, listen, I can mean get later tickets to save my life. Everyone wants to put the nicks. They would always give me next tickets in a rangers baby is so yeah.

bucking and mac.

we're going to do a .

little bit more obviously a gossip god, simple. But I do want to talk to about your childhood because obviously you're this like you became this heart throb your life change I think around like twenty two ish was gold girl.

Yeah and yeah yeah.

So like before that, like how would you describe your childhood?

IT was interesting as born love s small town taxes, not much going out there. I kind of woke up. I was in local homos first memories.

So random parents are from their dads. From there my parents met. There are small, very small, like religious college there.

So alcohol, a city very, unless my parents had me when they were like twenty and twenty once. So that's you know very, very southern thing yeah I mean, they were still growing up as we were. I can't imagine having that up fifteen year old right now.

So so there were Young, my dow and medicare. What what happened? We moved to minister a for four years for his meet school. And then we moved back to texas when I was, like nine or ten years old in dallas from dalla's, like north, north dallas, little bit suburbia, a little bit out there in the sticks.

but more suburbia, you know, yeah.

Were you raised religious? Yeah, yeah. basically. yeah. Were you? Oh.

my god. IT IT was tough because obviously I can't imagine being from the south and being raised religious like, yeah, I was raised cafe like every single sunday going to church and I was from pennsylvania.

IT wasn't like probably as intense, maybe as like adding on the south, but IT was just confusing because I always felt more like pull to the arts and like pull to these things that just like worn as traditional me, right? And so you just feel like a fucking weird and you feel like aren't naturally like pushes the boundaries on conversations. And when you're raised religious, it's a little bit like, what are you doing here? Like you're like caller outside the lines.

And if you were raised in los Angeles, s it's like, go sweet. great. So it's like it's just a matter of where you were, right? Like was IT hard for you with like when did you know you want to get into the arts?

I I was like an artistic kid actually. I was always drawing and stuff. I'd never wanted to be an actor.

I had no idea about acting on any of that. I know it's like that story that's like no one wants to hear that good. Yeah like I was very naive about about the acting thing.

I just yeah when there was like, like, like secular world, right? It's like even I was sort of a bit police and what music was listening to and know all these are of things that kind of makes you feel just close your phobic and away. Remember, like always really wanting to just travel or just get out of the bubble and meet new people and go out and and do that.

But I was a pretty good draw and like charle and like a little bit of painting when I was like, you know, like middle school, I started a kind of i'm not ground like I was good, like a six greater, okay, like good for like to ods. No, my parents did kind of like forest that little, but they let me, you know, I want to like photography classes. And those are my favorite.

favorite stuff. Yeah, did you ever have an awkward?

Oh yeah, totally. I should. Yeah, I wish I had a picture of me. And like six grade with bee in the poker. Like i'm talking full highlight cap, like my mom highlighting my hair through the noodles.

P but wasn't that .

like locky hot at the tie was like .

if a guy was like you were the fucking shit, you had confidence. When why were you awkward? I just was awkward.

I wasn't good at talking to girls. I had no idea like, you know, you think you think like one plus one equals to that time you like a gross supose to like you back. And when the first girl did not like me back at all, I was like, oh, shit. Like I was like, okay, I guess I did even really come into my personality until like middle of .

high school yeah I think kind Normal though I feel like boys either just like so outgoing and loud and knowing a shit. There's like the little art sea guys that like the losses eventually .

like yeah a little bit more yeah, yes yeah. And what were .

your friends like?

So I had some good friends. I they were kind of geeky, you know like gold cards and bikes and like just little like all you know outside doing you know, sports with sports are big like that. You know, texas things. Everyone is work. we.

Play I did but .

not like, not like friday highlights. Football wasn't like .

the pandas and wasn't like.

I love kid, she's a body but now I actually like addition for for that show didn't didn't get the quarter back and I was devastated at the time.

Yeah yeah oh my god. And you must have been like wanting that too because being from taxes, that kind of them like a full circle fun moment yeah .

I know that so bad, but but I did I didn't work out.

So you didn't get IT in reality and you didn't get.

no yeah yeah arts forever yeah I was definitely not my dad was you're not not you're probably not going to go over six foot. So maybe seek to golf and something easy.

golf. Tell me about golf because I will be honest when I think back to high school and I think about the guys I am not you not gravitating toward the golfers however i'd like they figured, no, listen now in hints. If I have a someone I am like, get your fucking and ask and the goal right? Those are the guys that like get the scholarships and are smart and have their life figured out and just like look put together, we're like the meat, like god lesson.

but like where they I know you can keep playing golf, touch your live and i'm not even like I feel like guy IT seems like I play in these old charity things that they invite me to and like, so I yeah so I but i'm not that big of A I play growing up because there was because I was going to be bigger for football. So that was sort of the empathy that you imagine .

if you were got on friday night night that have .

been totally different because the next year I I got the gossip girl, things would have been totally .

on my got either like you playing football or you being like trust fund mr. Swab in new york city yeah, yeah, i've really that fit you. Well, not that you couldn't done football.

Okay, I want you to know I would have expected that role too. But I think that was meant to be IT was meant to be okay. Well, so you got denied by girl. Did you ever go to prom?

Go to prom.

How did you do a prom pose? All come on.

Oh, I got, I actually ended up going. One of my best friends in high school was this girl, lisa, well, and lover, we call me. So we used to like go to prom together just because I had think like a girlfriend from a different that's had a girlfriend from a different school. And there was like a thing where the girls didn't want you IT was just like if you you can't bring her for them school. So I want to bring my .

friend will be.

yeah, I do actually I do, I do I come back of a home, deprives mikes hard lemonade or no IT was IT was a grab back at that he was my start limited and smear off, a smear off. I like, sir is something like, but IT was my hard limit and smear off, I think, how to want to each but he was all those things for you like you don't know if you're drunk, you don't know how to ask you, you act drunker than you are and I think I fear i'm feeling gray like you like try and and I do is just water. We we work with you.

It's just water. You're not even like fucked in tipsy, but you're like, no guys things are really starting to feel different. It's nothing is different.

We're just driving and it's like moving a little bit OK. It's on the fuck down. wow. okay. So if you have like an okay experience because I feel like to say that you had that for your first drink, like I was like going into my parents licker cabinet and like grabble like a disgusting brand vy and like holding my nose and like vomiting back into the bottle and just try to a couple you never makes.

I had a bad moment with vanilla, and I was vanilla coke or vanilla sky. IT was like a vanilla, some of the illa flavored rude, if forever don't know that was my bad moment was like some vanilla, like because some mixed with ba bad night.

you can never know.

not drink. Think of that. No, IT was great. And I just kind, I would like swish .

the beer to wisbey. So fetch. What the fuck?

What the fuck? No, I was so awkward, but you were never come in fish. Boy.

I was in the counter.

I meers still t ool to have the thing .

about my age too. I like, I thought I was like, cool to be picked. Like, would you work?

Yeah, maybe, maybe. Like, yeah, give me an application. And I was, like, light on the application.

how? Okay, to all the jersey people that are listening that may have, like, no idea about the two thousand abba crome craze. Can you just describe what I was like to work there?

You have no idea. First of all, okay, you get to the mall, you walk in. You can smell that store from any any entrance point in the mall, right? Words alone, never I can smell that I can taste right now .

thinking about it's kind .

of this kind probably still have IT god yeah and then as i'm going closer, I can hear the same fuck and mix that they're been playing on repeat for forty eight hour. I know this song and now I probably love every song on there. But like it's the same thing you get in there.

There's like greater standing there sometimes shoreless back in the day. And I was never though they tried to. Actually, I had an off a little dinner respect by my math guy. He put me behind the register. So and I ask, the time went by way faster um I was not a greater but you get there that you might be even by some shirtless guys and and there was this photograph. He is like those Bruce weber, like black and White photograph know those were kind of the iconic .

thing that made IT. So yeah, the time that was very like racy, a little bit lines going. The girl side was like, these apps. And I was like, I little don't even have tips right now.

twenty five years old.

good.

We I go.

And the smell I was thinking about you, like holism was ten times worse because you had to walk in there, the flashlight, they turned all the lights off and IT was like a mad house like, and you're little little like grabbing clothes and you're just .

checking out is awful. Terble, yeah, I worked both. I worked the holiday too for a small, terrible IT was awful .

it's awful chase you had you are like that guy, the guy that just like working abronia and .

holster yeah .

I I kind of love IT though. Yeah.

that was cool back. That cool.

That was cool. It's it's not embarrassing. It's cool. It's cool because back of in the day, like I feel like how the time I walk in that store and that was like, maybe my sexual weighing being like, wo like these boys are like, so gorgeous again. Like he was about twenty five year old men and IT was, I think IT was like a whole experience back in the day. Like that was the coolest st thing going now we don't know.

have balls anymore. No more. The bb center, great empty is coming. I can walk my dog kind in there.

This is a ghost tale, so OK, which I got .

some goal again .

OK the audition process. I think it's data stating to think about like you obviously don't get friday night lights and then you go for this. Like what is that even entail? Like how long was IT did you even know what the show really was?

Gonna be like, no, I had no idea. I am. I like a lot of kids.

I watched I group in the O C, in high school and into my college. In my college years, the best show loved IT, but IT was weird. I went in there.

I was like a process, like a sixth hoops s to jump through. IT was actually kind of a wild process. But I knew that john steffy to the oc, they're phenomenon.

And I knew I could had this potential to be cool. And my other devised to change the name. That name is based on these books, whatever.

But I went in, and then right away, five member I wore, like my most new yorker jacket possible, like my previous, whatever. And but at the same time, I was a little bit like, again, i'm like Younger also like iro. Like this is kind of not beneath to me, but I I wanted friday.

I like, yeah so I kind of went in there with like like a very kind of blow, like whatever which probably had worked in my favorite as those things going to do, but they wanna do like a test know thing right away, which I thought, great, there was going one more, one more audition or whatever. But then I was like, back with producers and then like producers and director and then IT was like, it's it's all different now now you now it's all self tapes and you just kind of put yourself out, right, you know? But but back then I was like, IT was cw, was cbs and Warner brothers.

So we had to go to like the top of like the water brothers building, and I made one of the final fourth or five times. So I walk in this big, like forty row conference room, you know. And I think I tested with a few actors as few girls for like blair, whatever. And i'm thinking like i'm like that's a really great part like she's got some great chunks of dialects like funny and you know, no, no, they didn't really I was like, I just don't really see what these girls and I got this big conference room and there was this this one girl kind of saying, with their back turn, I walk all around like, hi, nice to meet you and I was like, late and turned around before even like that, she's like, so perfect. You like, hi, nice to meet you I like that the girl so we both were like, super nervous and we had to like, go and test is silly was like a theater seating, dark room, one store like lights and IT was like you going and that's like the silly of scenes ever you're doing like in front of all these people i'm like about north ani's axel and other stupid stuff so and so anyway so I did that, I guess I don't know, went well and I guess I got the call. I got itself .

that is I love all so how you just like new late also, SHE was so fucking perfect .

for that part like no one else could have you ve.

You're like, I love you and the amErica was like, I love you too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did you always know you are going in for nate?

Yeah, always for yeah. Think they they switched around some of the roles kind of like to play. Remember going in to reading with Blake and a few other guys, they were trying to fit the pen to the dan role. So yeah.

I think it's just so vain because I ve heard some people go in for someone and they get switched. But like when I think of the year, character, like had a very different up bring then, like what you were used to, like when you first started filming. Could you really do anything about this person? No, no.

no, absolutely nothing. I had no idea. I didn't really know any northeastern people.

I had no idea, like the whole thing I was, I was I, I had a look like a subtle, I kind of lost ted in california when I went to college for four years. But I get drone, I have accent. But but I had, I did think about that. Don't like, how know what is that new york thing know is that preppy thing? But because .

you went to peer dine.

for what exactly did you, your family.

think you were losing your mind that you dropped out?

Kind of I mean, that I kind of freak out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. I, with my life, I kind had to freak out moment.

And just, they were supported by graduated high school, a bit Young. I was like, seventeen. So they were like, taking you off.

Like, do whatever. Of course, i've found this acting class. So, like, I want to be an actor, so, you know, but they they were somehow support of the shocking. I don't think they would be I D being dor.

I was going to say, because I remember pep die when I was picking school. I remember looking IT up because I was, like, so fascinated with california. And I look at Peter dim, like, this looks like the most magical place on earth.

yeah. And then I was reading, and my mom is like, sweety, you can't drink if you go to the school. Why am I bring that up to?

I don't know that, by the way, like out there, I don't know how strict IT was. I guess i'm joining ferny, which I didn't surely want to do. Yes.

that is like notoriously one of the strict schools like you can't drink, can't have past .

like eleven o'clock pm, you can have any current vice first.

Did you do anything that they broke the rules?

Your rushing here? Oh yeah, we did yeah quite a bit somehow. Yeah, we did. We could get a lot trouble. actually.

I think we like, can he did like the presidents, like paul, something crazy? Well, he was not there like something crazy. yeah.

So .

you had a .

good time.

We kind of like that. I met some, really, actually three, my best friends. They end up all being from texas.

And they were like from Austin and and one from the ammo, a texas. And somehow we became like, in sting. Good friends. yes. So is so fascine .

to think about you and college doing one year and then dropping out and going to gossip girl, do you think that like anyone in your hometown was surprised to see that success? Or was everyone .

like else they were? So everyone is probably super left.

Feels really yeah no.

I never wanted to be an actor and I wasn't guy. I wasn't like john y like, you know, her throb on the TV. So I just wasn't. No, I mean, I was a late bloomer by the time I was twenty one. I kind of start to come come more to my own right confidence.

And did you like random people reach out if, like all those people .

start kindle wing IT happen? Yes, I speak that. I like, yeah like it's weird. Like certain things happen. People act weird around that kind of stuff.

You're like, way to second. We did go to high school together and you never talk to me. Why are you texting me? How do you actually .

have my number? Yeah, there was a little bit actually. Is that weird? Yeah, that was weird.

IT was weird. Yeah, when did you get like, really big after season one?

I kind of just popped right. Fall of two thousand seven arrand IT became big right away. Yeah, was really insane.

Do you have a moment that you remember that you were like, oh my god, my life is like forever changed?

I don't really I guess that wasn't that one moment. There was mean at mean at west where you played chuck on the show. You know he was like eighteen year old kid from like outside london.

He thought he was like, p dori, right? And we i'm in text. I are just in college. I don't know expensive new york is IT was insane.

Like why my dad had to like, give us the like security deposit first months and last months red until we get a first paycheck. I was like a lario so i'm like, you wanted like room together and like, this is crazy like this rest i'm looking. He is sure that you know he had no idea.

And we in the first summer, we like move in in july, like probably just turned twenty one or twenty two. And we were like the summer series in central park, if remember that, but they had like big concerts after. And I was like the black keys, arctic monkeys, I might be doing myself that, but I was awesome, is awesome songs out, beers and the show had even come out.

We shot the pile. We we just moved there, and we're having a blast. Just him and I just expLoring the city.

And these girls did come up to us. And IT was kind of flick this alypius. We didn't know. And kind of you I think what fucked my like sure you come out yet, man. He is like this whole thing and that that moment is pretty Crystals in my mike IT was ought like the black keys plan IT was like.

you're just like Normal dude, like sitting chi gue and then it's like.

hello, that was the very first time I think anyone ever asked for any couple of picture. So that was that I do remember that is being like a defining like, oh.

we're interesting as we were feeling as IT like really started to pop off. Like, how did you initially handle that? Like attention?

not. Well, I actually not. Well, I can make me parana to be hon.

Like, slightly, I don't want to say, was like this terrible thing is no, IT was fun. IT was fine. But like you said, people come out what what. I think people are acting weird around fame. And you start realizing all these things you can only realize from that sea. Yeah, but I mean, I don't want act like I was this thing IT was we had a blast for me, was all about having fun like I had so much fun, but I was you just are always kind like you can't, like you aren't present all the time. Like to just like I worry about people or phones, like a little bit now I think .

that's okay to say like and I get what you're saying like that doesn't mean you're not so grateful for everything that came. But it's like a very odd d experience as a human being to be like, oh, all those people are staring at me right now and watching me and they know who I am and I have no idea who these people .

are and they know you.

I'm not arrive as much as you want me to be. I am not. My name is chase and from texas yeah yeah in new york.

Interesting because it's like you get all these influx of people in tourist and you're not only you're that character in that cities, it's like Mickey mouse and dizzy and they all want to see I take a photo like Mickey, you feel like they just come up and hug you and it's during .

this cosy room with so weird. Can we talk about that for minute? Because I didn't think about that most shows that are like even movies that they're like set in york spoiler, they're not fucking shot in new york.

Most of them were shot in canada. toronto. Yeah and you guys actually were living, breathing, filming, shooting in new york city. The show was said in new york city so like you're walking them to get breakfast and you're not working, but you're like walking wherever you're walking and someone sees you like we're .

people calling unit on the street all the time. That is always the character's name yeah yeah was crazy and also fun. But like IT, IT blurs the lines a lot, you know and and IT was just weird.

I was like a really like, if we were shooting exactly in toronto, it's a different thing. But people are visiting new york and IT was a own character in the show. You know, when people are like, you know, find the show and when they see you actually in that environment, it's like this whole, like their mind is blown. You know, that was a doubly .

interesting thing. And it's also weird to be a new york city as you like. I think it's interesting inside.

Just asked you the beginning of this like, oh, could you relate to anything you're from texas? This character you like? no. And then all of a sudden you went from stopping, able to relate to anything about this character to, like you almost were becoming a part of this character .

was really like that yeah.

you like, I live in new york city. I am getting pop ocd. People want to know who i'm dating. And so I started off being like, I can't look into this fucking kid at all and now it's like.

yeah, yeah and I think was like, like pores hilt and whatever the gossip thing was at that time was really always, I was like, funny stuff. But IT was the same thing happening, you know, I mean, and I thought I wouldn't even like new york. I visited IT in like high school and of course we want to told the tourist the air .

pots and I was there from, like, you visit new york, it's so overwhelming you get sent to the tour sy spots where you're like times square and it's like all the places that if you live there you would never go. Then when you live there, you like find the pockets and you like, this is the best place. This is the best place ever.

Yeah, we can have the keys, the city. And like you're twenty years in the new york, as you know, it's just there's nothing Better. So I was like, was so great.

See your friends with ed, you guys live together. Like i'm obsessed. Guys were roommates. I didn't know that until I was like doing research for this one like I didn't really fucking live together that's epic um what was ed's best .

and worst quality as I were made of god?

What was ed's best and worst quality as .

a roman god here? A lot of bad ones. Let me tell you that much. Ah we live in this habits.

I think IT was like a they call like a junior one or there was like real bedroom, right? And then there was an office you could close. Wall was like a switch.

Like pay a little bit more. Course, we never switch. And I got dick ed room was like, it's like a lunch pay without overflowing cigarettes.

And like, I mean, you thought like the joker lived there. He was insane. I'm not kidding. I should be call him about like this but I love you that I love IT eight, nineteen i'm twenty one like, you know and and he was just messy I mean, i'm not like a little bit on that side of like I need things put in right place the stuff oso with him.

He's literally like an actually walking around you clean up.

clean up, clean up door and I was like, know the like rip stop that you know so that was probably I didn't like the same. But we had an absolute blast in that place. We had like a roof dot roof deck. Ah we have to go down the elevator and to the thing, but no one was ever up there. And like twenty six and ten or eleven.

six and ten, what is that like IT .

was just down bt Chelsea.

I guess .

technically, yeah, yes, yeah, yeah. But he was kind close. The water had like this amazing view on this roof deck, and we just called IT roof deck.

And he would like invite a bunch of people. We bring a both speaker and some like, you know big balloon ca whatever. And just like having like a party of the all the time OK.

First of all, to think about the two of you throwing a party, yes, on your roof deck. yeah. What the difference between chase and ed's parties, versate and trucks parties.

not much except the money. And we didn't put much money behind hours. We weren't making quite that. You know, I know I being like the president of the world at the end of the show, but he was ridiculous and he was an owning chains. This was very much skilled, more like, like british underground rock scene, you know. And I had like, like the bears go on and but they did turn out to be pretty like, fun, kind of well known parties, like people would like, show up from all over the place. And like, is IT city.

I mean, is that true that you lived in the same building as the chain smokers?

I was a great story. No next door as the, just as zo. I loved the death she's getting very in August, and I came out to see her.

SHE played in us on the show, and we are all hang out and then SHE bite guys. And SHE is five, five, five. We were like, five, three, five.

So was SHE was learning we're next door. And SHE always be like my roomy, this guy on the hall. Like play alex. Like place.

What is this accent you're .

doing trying to, with constant actions, terrible, terrible.

When you have the dog with.

she's concert. No, no, no, no, no, no.

God, I was.

This is supo circle. We all like great friends.

This is your wish and do that again.

No, she's like from from was was cain. She's s there. I can't do IT. 对, she's like, guys alex, my friend alex is playing. He's like a DJ and then I is terrible.

It's, why did you sit? Why did you act like I speak now on na?

I love her, should be like you. I like three the more I mean, new york goes, yeah, we come back over going to go out apartment. Know how tiny and he was alex from chain smokers. And he just like playing. He's the best I still see him out about and we were just sit there and rip and like just I chopped up talking and his like D J, playing music and yeah.

what a small world that's crazy to think that like you guys is like .

Young guys and .

because they .

were even formed our mutual friend with just cos a guy well or not, he's still my best friend. I made him through her, but he worked in night clubs, kind of our hospitality. So Alice was like, hey, can you get me into these places? He did well. I looked them up and bottom into these like, like clubs, DJ and stuff like that.

So yeah, yeah, yeah. There was so fun.

I had them and I was like.

that was, yes, I won't ask if you and i'd have had a three, some together, but I did .

ask what they say.

What was the answer? absolutely. We go um which which one and where I was like, what and they were like which time? And I was like, I don't know, tell me about them all.

And Alice at the time, I like stopped you. And jews like, okay. So the first time, like, oh my god, okay, this is quite fun. Yeah who would you guys invite to these parties? Because at the time where you like, hey, industry people where you meeting like chick that .

like N Y U um sometimes yeah I don't know exactly who would we bring up there. We'd bring good friends. But then sometimes I get really out a hand and the like, you know, I could be insane.

I member one time, I one, this is very like a two thousand, early two thousand story. But like we would have no IT got a lot of hand but that but the dormant loved us and they would like to let us do anything. They would just say like do this for that, don't do that ah and so he all think doran call is like your others you got come down some commotion going on.

I'm like, what's going on and I go down the elevator and you can see, you can see, like all the way down and there was just floor to ceiling windows at the front of the building, right? And I look, and I was like Linda low hand and sam on and were dying the very two thousand, or like walking down and there was just a wall, photographers in the window. I was that really, we made IT come up.

Of course they came up and IT was great. I think we've met before. Kind of they're amazing. Like, sam is great, and I didn't seen them in ages.

but like they came up and .

I was like a very early two thousand. And then and then we like, you know, rates up there.

Was the pairs ever come .

to a party? SHE did not. But I P, I saw paris recently actually I did at this like, fancy you, some Oscars thing and SHE said, hey, I want up to say, hey and we like, i'm like, remember the first time you ever met? We ever met, right? He was like, I think he said, I think so now I was like, I was in college.

I hadn't done anything yet acting wise. I was living. I just moved L A. My sister was in town with the body and we were like, teddy, that nigh club back in the dead, which was like the bus. And I was like, and like, you were so nice with you, hang out and invite us your birthday party and we all went and IT was amazing. I like, yes.

little like, I don't remember that he is.

Remember of that. He said, she's amazing. And so I always, we always say what's up when I see her but that was like my other you know early .

two thousand story I have says because you there is like the nice and human when you meet her, you're like, oh my god, you're even Better in person like she's lovely but I love how like for paris like that probably meant like nothing at the time to her. She's like got lio at parties and she's got everyone and SHE like B I mean, while you're like my life is made yes yeah my .

sister isn't like college. I like barely alecos gy, i'm like visors bird. cool. He doesn't five or six probably. Who knows?

Did any of your roof t parties ever get shut down?

They never did. Actually, they never did. There was no one really like the best in travel so that .

that you with like the dorma yeah yes yeah .

yeah but no one ever used IT either like IT really wild I don't know .

how we to have a rooftop yeah and to have a one junior sweet thing that's like a one bad room yeah that's pretty insane.

That's a great little gig. It's ai okay.

what would he say? Your worst qualities remate is.

oh, oh, I don't know what he would say. What would he say? My worst quality would be.

Probable probably falling asleep so easily when he was like, trying to tell a story we would be watching like, just like cds of ontario. Ed, just playing. Like, look at that.

I passed out. But like, I don't know what my worst quality was. I was a great, i'm a great roommates, will never have another roommate.

so helped me and at all now and he watched him becoming the list yeah number one. No IT seems like if you are the one that's like cleaner, like you, maybe he'd like key was a knowing a shit.

He he was constantly cleaning my shit yeah, when I had moved out.

I think was .

like work and I my body, like I need to my four six of the shows gone, stayed that place and .

like knocked .

the world down and like made his he did yeah I going to actually like knock his little walk down IT is .

very dramatic. But where you like are you insane that you're staying .

ah a little bit yeah yeah just say.

yes we ve got the paycheck.

We got the thing yeah I was like two two years. We had two good years, right?

Let's go. okay. Have you ever looking up with the coast star?

As such, as not you just did IT so, you know and then you .

go over the water so casually actually like, I am going to forget what I just asked.

I go on next question. Listen, I would say, I always say those things are inevitable. You know when you're you're twenty like or whenever could be anything like workplace. But but you know the thing is the thing is your on these things, it's not like people probably think it's like these sexy scenes or whatever, the kind of that's like the worst part of its like sixty people watching. It's like the downtime you're doing the show you're on set for like twelve fourteen hours a day and usually there's some pretty interesting people from all walk to life and and the danger is the dangerous if you have if you connect right away with like sense of humor, least for me, like if you have a good, if you like, like I have a report, can I kind of banter and give each other shit for me on my old I got like, watch out you for myself self yes and I bet it's like.

yeah, that's a good point. You're spending so much time with these people that the minute if you're like emotionally connecting with someone that can be your person, like while you're like sitting in between scenes, like you start to just get closer and then naturally OK, you're going to leave IT to .

all of us to guess who was I me listen, i've done like other shells and stuff like, but yeah you know .

it's oh yeah but like, I love how you had to take a place, take a simple water and you got really centered with yourself. And then you, like, made eye contact with me and you gave me the most perfect P. R.

N. Sometimes when things get heated and the emotions are there, it's inevitable. But you know, we've all moved on. No, it's fine. It's fine. Did you ever know if costars at the time we're like hooking up and then you like kept their secret for them?

Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. And by way, there is a lot of like actors and people coming on to the show.

So they're like over the years. And then I had I was fortune ough to have like friends in the city. They were actors, but they were outside the show and had a really good like friend group. And then like they, everyone else has a little friend group. And so you meet people in those in that wire circles, not just like, you know that's .

like everyone is like putting a .

map here like so you know it's a lot of people involved but you know, again, he was like a college experience.

exactly one european peptide, three years, a gossip group, university. Can I ask so if you weren't dating, let's say, someone on in your cast, what was your dating life like during gossip girl? Because now you're famous, people know you. You're in a city. Yes, what was IT like IT was.

I mean, in the sense of like dating life, IT was kind of non exist. I didn't really like I was never like doing the well. I never like doing like the interview, like sit down, like going date. That was just mean a lot of people out all the time um and IT was very um like IT was very much like meet meet people through your friends yeah and like for me, I guess I was I don't know, I guess I was experienced. Ed like you kind of do something or you go off and in meet people through through a crazy experience, I would can connect with them and then and then .

we would date and you're so Young like being twenty two, twenty three in new york city. Like at that point, I assume you are not looking for relationship. Like you're having fun, your meeting people, you're hooking up, you're going to work like you're starting to make your first really paycheck. Yeah.

yeah, a lot of fun. Have a lot. And in a high school I had had, like one girlfriend, and I was very like, kind of that thing. And so I was kind of, you know, I wanted to want to to do there.

Okay, how did you feel when we found out that down was fucking gossip girl?

I felt happy that wasn't me. I was just really happy that I wasn't nate because then they told me they were probably, they were thinking, why would even be .

me like your character was like to like lady bear, like you wouldn't have .

time to get on your computer and type away no, yeah isn't .

politics now ah I go to although I hate when you hooked up with that older woman, I didn't like like that era. Yes, I didn't love that and but i'd like to new and together yeah the White party, the kids to make everyone jealous okay.

you know you don't .

want to know how much of a fan I am IT when IT ends. I think i've talked a lot about with people when their actors of like understandable there is a fan base that is like, don't you fucking dare say you weren't sad to see, but most people like, I gotta move on with my fucking life. It's time to go like, how did you feel when IT all was ending where you like, let's fuck and go .

I for tears I had, I went to like a major depression. I feel like looking back, not really. But I, I, I, I wasn't like prepared for IT.

And I guess I thought I was, but but I was more like new york was is your family is so like you wake up and you and even the drivers like you, you know I mean, it's like the hair makeup girls, like they're they're awesome and that's your whole day. It's like your whole identity, like a Young I was ready for IT to be done. But I mean, and I would talk about all the time, I say, this is a great trouble ever have, because I, I, I was easy.

IT was an easy thing that was fun, and we would laugh about that. But more, I was just mad. I did like, I was like, I guess I ve got to go back to L. A. And like.

I really like .

to new york. I have stayed for a little bit. Why didn't you? I don't know. In hindside with realised I should have just bought a place in my captain thinking .

you should have gone back and gotten the place that I had been renting out and like about the whole fall .

and read the humidity often yeah.

but you went back to.

I went back to ali, yes, yes. And you know.

so talking about your state of depression, I can imagine it's like kind of identity crisis, right?

IT was, yeah, wasn't identity crisis. IT was just a weird IT was a weird thing. IT was IT didn't last for a long, but IT was like a few months of like IT was just a daunting thing of like additions now like going back and how to I and you put the box a little bit you know I mean, you're kind of a guy that a dw show who looks a certain way. It's definitely like I got to find something to kind of break out of that. So was that yeah .

and I feel like also, I mean, we how long with gossip girl many years, years, that's like a long as time to be in something like at what like towards the end of the last year you guys knew was ending.

right? Yeah yeah we knew .

yeah but you still have to start to IT doesn't probably feel real until IT over and I almost like a college experience plus more to be with people and then like you keep in touch with anyone .

kind of goals yes I mean, yeah like I yeah we are on text sometimes and like you make loose plans and then yeah pen text out a blue other day actually, because he was shooting, I think, his final season of you in our old, old soundstage. So he was like texas were kind like catching up. And so see pen every now again and later in town and in your Blake, like I think in west chester, will text sometimes actually.

And I saw that in europe recently. So yeah, yeah but I was like, the material was really ready to move to different material yeah in a different role. But like new york, I guess I wasn't really.

really leave new york. You think you ever go back too?

hold. I mean, I think the way to do IT is to have one in both. I know place there.

I have thought about IT, but it's weird because like you're right, you hit a certain point. We're like new york is so beautiful when you're twenty and it's even when I look back like I had the like this studio apartment where they were like fucking in rats and I had I had the ed room where like my two room mates got to have like the Normal room, and then we like, there was like a built all for me and i'm like, just putting a matson. I could barely fit in IT, right, some of the best years of my life. But now when I think about going back to new york, like, I like like a backyard and like being relax and like not having to like walk outside and get like hit in the head and like pushed to the ground and like screaming people like, yeah, I like to go for a .

trip and then get the fuck out totally in the winters. Are the expire friend .

with the dog still not over that? Let's talk about your love life. Yeah, are you in a relationship?

Let's talk about your love life. Yeah, are you in a relationship?

No, it's a dumper fire out. It's all dumped. Five.

what's going on?

What is your time? Thousand twenty four is things sometimes are tough out there.

IT is fucked in tough. IT is tough. Okay, let's going on.

You're very single. Are you going on .

any dates? Whatever you I join right, like a enjoy IT.

I really, really you up, I actually enjoy IT because like people, everyone told me not to do this. So I I think I had a few drinks and like one night i'm doing IT and I just did IT. I mean, this is great.

I haven't on one day. No, don't get me wrong. I like, haven't engaged at all.

I'm a told creeper face figure. This thing out. What is this thing?

It's in .

community.

Oh my god. Yes, I was on ria. But the problem for, like a lot of I feel like the women is like the guys are very, I don't know, like a lot of them are djs O, I know I don't i'm not looking for like I was not looking for a spin, the beat sky.

A lot of them like lived in australia or IT would be like, U. K. And I like, can I set my settings closer? Like, I don't want to go my first day across the buckin world. So was a little bit of like a proxim ity thing. A little bit of like a intimidate too, because like the other dating apps is I O is like a nice Normal person. This is like, who are you and like what are you do for living and like everyone's networks that and you're like, I am just it's overwhelming yeah so I could see why you like have a hard time getting off the APP for that yeah.

yeah, yeah. I know it's definite weird. I definitely have no expectation. I'm not like I don't even know really what I want. I'm just trying to know it's just like another available yet.

Meet somebody right the only connection that has like oh, cool of indonesia. Ah okay, great. okay. I remember there was this one .

guy that I remember. I like Randy matched with that. And I think he was on like, he was he he was on what was was called vampire ies. And I remember being like, i'm a big van of vampire diaries and so i'm like, oh, and it's like he's shooting in toronto and I was like, I live in new york city and like, but you're still like, am I getting on a plane to see this man?

Yes, no.

yes, no. You're like.

yeah no may be but i'm in new .

york is like you have in toronto like match bye, i'll watch nexis great.

IT sucks. IT sucks.

You're going to figure that out. I know you're going fired out. yeah. Do you consider yourself a romantic?

I do a little bit. Yeah, yeah I I what would you consider a man?

I think someone that like when you're in a relationship, you're like very like you would like to set IT up for this like very romantic setting up like you're not just like you like walking through the process. It's like candles and roses and you want to like make time together and you're very like, I don't know, sweet .

and. Gw, I like and i'm a whole bodies, so I like to when i'm in and I do I really do like to focus and like, do the thing and like be very thoughtful. I feel like i'm my thoughts person. So yeah.

how are your first states? Are you good at first states .

about the first states? I think, okay, I an everyone, they're awful though, right? But but it's like I generally met people through friends or friends or through kind of indirect ways.

So the first, the first states always like interview process campaigning, you know I mean so but when you know you know kind of I write away, I could still get through the first day this night. You don't you know it's so okay. We're going to be friends maybe.

but that's a good point. I feel like first date, you know that you like the person if IT feels less like an interview and you know like we're making like headway, like no first day is gonna be like this is like the fucking best thing ever. Like I would hope there's room to grow and get Better. But some first states are like, ten minutes and i'm like.

I got a fucking in yeah and then becomes, i've definitely awkward on first.

Do you just say the whole time?

Yeah no, you can really going to ghost out the back. I like, like my keys that me .

and then someone would like right on mind about you being like he's the biggest fuck and do like .

people do that. I body that like done as part of .

IT is like, you could be respectful me like you're eye literally. I know this is not right. Let's just like not waste each other's time, but some people do you fucking piece of shit.

fuckyou. And then you would be a dict. yeah. Have you been in love before?

absolutely.

Ah oh, how many times?

That's a good question. Probably at least two, at least two .

because have you had those where you're like was that love or was love in the moment? But now that i've grown up, maybe you like redefine IT a little bit.

right? One was pretty instantaneous and then another one was over time. So have a kind of experience about that. I don't really subscribe the idea that there's like one soulmate for you.

I think this handful, maybe how you want to was definitely once in a blue moon that you are very really going to meet someone that you really connect with. And what you do with that you know is, is the timing thing. And then maybe you know IT couldn't you can work out or a doesn't, but we all have those things that might not have closure, you know I mean and that's okay. So you don't have to have like closure, but those open and things you you think like maybe i'd been more of all were like i'd been like five five years older in a different place in my life. There's a few times I definitely not regret, but I like, wish I had been a different place in my life.

That is interesting where you like all that, such a good point where you like look back at IT and you recognize who you were compared to who you are in the reflection stage. We are like, I have to imagine how different I would have been, even if I was me in that relationship. Now probably would have been fuck spring and happy.

Yeah, I could have at all. Yes, yeah, yeah. Like picky blinders. no.

But yeah, i'd like bit and like, god, I was, I was a headcase back. I, I like, just like not in an asso. You know what? I was doing my own stuff. I was just, you know you know, whatever called mental was just like I was in a bad deal. Is a really .

interesting topic because that means you're growing, obviously. But I think that when you have your own shit going on, there's no fucking way that you can be like one hundred percent present for a partner. It's hard to do even when you're in the fucking and healthy relationship.

Of course, exactly like when I moved back from new york and I was in that kind of funk, i'd made a girl who was like, incredible, and I went out to be very, very successful. But that of the dog, no.

i'm trying to get the who the back is, woman, to all.

So I worked on IT was a bad T. V. show.

But I was like, in two thousand and fifteen maybe or someone was so good, good friends. He's great. He's great, very great. Yeah and but we both travels. We both have to do the dog defending myself.

Now we know I my, oh.

how would that we can work down? Yeah but so you kind of .

felt for a girl after that like weird moment. And then I just didn't work because you went in a .

good head space wit, in a good space. I just slide. I let IT kind of float away and he was like, would be in town and reaching out and and we kind of, you know, hot.

I had a thing in new york when we're both there. And then yeah, I just I think about some of those things if I just been in a different can help that though you get what you get in a timely thing and it's just life. But I do think about those because I miss moment from time to time.

But I think IT also allows you like into going into this next chapter of like whoever you you're going to find like that allows you then to like reflect me like I know i'm not going to do that, i'm going to be more president like whatever you know you fucked up on then you take that and like, move on.

No, tolerate. yes.

How long has been your like longest relationship?

About three, four years? probably. Yeah, yeah. What are the top .

like three qualities right now that you'd be sent you like looking in for a partner? We can put this on your riot profile to this import.

My right though, I think, I think every photos cut like cut off. I like till I am not grown. I don't even here i'm like whatever you .

know I mean just like picture .

of dog dog dog half out in the world and that IT is half my dog face shot. It's great because you're .

hoping they like won't fully notice you and then they just click. So like the dog is now is for something .

thing and it's not like I get that I get things I know, I know, I know I do. I am like a closet reader and like a and I D do like to be able to have like in debt conversation sent to humors kind of a big one for me like and you know and that's kind of umbrella thing, right, that if they have that wait and you kind of have that back and forth and that word that we're connection, you know where you can make each other love yeah and that's an umbrella personality with intelligence thing. It's like if that that's kind of the number one thing you you know .

do care of there in the industry.

i'd prefer not actually at this stage in my life, right? yeah. I mean, I think it's this part of ways I was like, I saw my bodies on dates with these, like mad students and neuroscientists, like where you were IT, right? Am I OK, you know? So really are.

I have seen so far got a weekend. There are people that do other things that i'm like trying, is such a bubble out here. You know.

that is a lot. You're like, I want, I want that doctor, that nurse, the dentist. What about a therapist? yeah.

probably. Yes, I would love. yeah. I see psychotherapy there. Could save some money, yes, and switch their place right now.

right now too like girl friend, yeah what a deal break .

er for you deal breaker oh man um oh bad cats, I don't know, bad ATS look how .

bad like what have you seen that you having? Like.

I don't know you. That's a stupid one. I really don't .

care about that.

I maybe probe like a deal breaker. You know, I think you you're not loving the neck tag.

Have you gone on a date I .

happened? That's a thing. It's actually never have.

Where I comfort.

don't know these pictures are bad. You just just a.

okay, a neck top. We're moving .

along on centrality OK .

that's reaching here. You are really on .

time yearly.

Yeah you like the door. Ah ready? go.

It's like an anxiety. I like, if i'm running late, it's over.

I hate me so I had people so fuck in late for the show. So I appreciate that you're early. Like, let's get IT going. yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Have you .

ever been cheated on once? Kind, kind of not really. I think so. We had like plans, like holiday plans and like moving in the next space on the relationship. And you've broadly broke up with me. And then I found out that he was like he was there was like an opportunity for someone like a famous person. I really famous person like uber and and then he thought that they were to date .

and that .

didn't happen but but but but but that was the only closest thing yeah to that that socked that's sad .

but then it's like perspective .

IT was like I okay, what I and I think IT .

also tells you something about .

that total IT. Actually I actually kind of help oh.

you are easily .

with me. I did. I did that coming. That's a very interesting thing to know.

But that can hurt if he goes from like you to brad. Yeah yeah. Like guy, get IT but IT also in case like what you're looking for.

right right, right. OK.

okay. Um have you ever gone through a partner's phone?

I have not no, i'm actually very I have like almost the opposite of trust. I'm almost like to trust, trust people. I just got your thing. I need my own space. I'm great.

Fully cheating.

I go to mexico. yes. Go up fun. yes.

Have you ever walked in on someone going through your phone?

Somebody to go to my phone once?

Did you walk in on them going .

through IT? Or you figure out, no, yeah, I mean, listen, if you're going to listen.

and we love this on color.

that if you're going to go through anybody's phone, you're gonna find .

something that you don't like.

no, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're going to find something like, so and I will say there was something bad. I wasn't cheating or anything but but you know, IT was not fun and I was very, very violated. But you can't like, you know, just like a weird thing.

I'm IT and in the middle night that like the ambush of like wake.

I happened you like, yeah, yeah, yeah like new .

piece of shit then .

what's happening .

in at first year, like someone's coming into the room there is someone in the health, what's happening and then and .

then they like, I had your phone oh, first thing I you talking about thing read in there but yeah, I was IT was a moment for sure yeah yeah interesting .

did you say with the person?

Yeah, yeah, we did. Yeah, we worked, worked.

Yeah how how much .

longer to that last another year? Okay, half. okay. yeah. wow. For the year. And have did .

you hear about that in a lot?

I didn't actually, I did. I did. But I got tried a couple therapy so that which I actually love.

I didn't love IT, but I thought that was a good always, I thought was I was very afraid that I ve always open a therapy. I do IT now. yes.

And I think it's it's like going to the gym, right? It's like you go to the gym for a certain thing. It's a very specific thing people make IT is like there's a stigma behind this.

There's there's no stigma. No relationship is perfect. And I actually had a couple therapy on the other week and SHE was just talking to me about like it's so weird that now we've like Normalize therapy, but couple therapy.

Yeah yeah it's like what's wrong with you don't like who doesn't fight in relationship? Who doesn't have problem? Who doesn't like no relationship? So IT almost like I commend the people that are honest about IT. Like I had said, like I went to a couple therapy and I was like the best thing for my partner. I works like, yes, I feel so much more aware of where he's coming from because you have a person in the room that like is so on bian nutria moderator .

and it's like this time you can you can air out those things safely yeah and it's just about being a fucking adult like you learn how to be an adult like at least for me in this relationship. And I was like, okay, and IT was a very nice you when you're doing IT doesn't feel like going to the dance kind you don't want to do IT, but it's you know, it's like you do IT and IT was a really great thing so yeah.

okay, let's talk about your show. Obviously, i'm like we're talking about gossip. Pro, I apologized, but obviously we had to get through the og, shit your show. I'm obsessed with the fact that you went from a man who was dressing like this like, appreciate this like kid with a trust fund to a superhero. Are you loving IT like being in the one cost in the whole time because of the whole part of gossip girl with your outfit?

obviously? no. And now .

obviously i'm looking at you in the same outfit. Every scene like this is kind of interesting. Obviously people have been watched.

The boys, this is tell about IT. It's great. The most fun i've ever had doing anything really.

I really like, just like workplace SE, like the character is its common is so much fun, we're making fun. Like the privileges measle know, mean, like that guy, the costumes, great. I had never have any fitting. I don't have to come in and do extra fitting. So it's like one little thing, costumes a little bit of and they ask is, yeah, shows awesome.

So what happened with what .

have .

a penis .

situation? Think I how do we .

story there tell .

tell .

everyone the story.

which is really funny because IT was a great press for the show when I first came out, because no one know if the show is going to work. But but also the creator was like, never tell anyone. That was never lme.

When the real story that was, you really me? no. But this counter came out, right? This counter came out of in the character, and there was a massive rocket in the suit, and they made this calendar that was really funny and very in character too.

But no one knew it's a show. People seen this like, what is this? Seth rogan.

And every gober produce IT. They're amazing. And they thought I would be really funny. And the genocide is reacting, filling thing we were doing, the suits that would have the deep just had like a raging erection, and like a third of the scenes. I thought IT was really, really like that great arias.

So then the fitting, I started showing up when they had a box character name to deep, that a box called little deeply. And I was like, all these different phone, like peace, all different types settle on one walk around. Oh, first we did.

So that's what happened. We did a big, we did all these like screen test camera ot photo shoots with this thing. So we hadn't actually shot.

Amazon has been my first day on said it's like a big motor onto big, big stage. I mean, front, like two thousand people. I come out on my introducing irs character and everyone just starts a laughing because it's so fine. The light.

you can really see this. Were you at all like anxious about that?

You thought I was so I I wan I kind thought though i'm like I got ta remove IT sometimes right back in there forever. IT looks ridiculous.

It's it's so good.

It's so funny. It's so funny and so i'm like and literally and amazon gave us no note, say, let's whatever the only note first I was like you had take that thing on the deeps pants, you to take that thing out. So they actually spend so much money frame by frame, editing out that scene, just in that area, for that scene.

In the pilot first episode, everyone forgot that we did all these. So whoever thought in the P. R, I be funning to make a calendar out of .

IT was genius.

But the county came out, and then people didn't know what. No idea.

I mean, you're right. IT was great. Pr, because, like everyone was talking about IT, IT was like, oh god, look at this penis.

Like what is happening with this? Like big, strong. Like looks like a fake.

absolutely. Bonner counter. I mean, great. So you're loving IT.

You're having a good time.

Yes, yes, still loving.

What was that addition process like?

IT was complete opposite cost of girl IT was like Christmas time. They were like to cash the superhero and the superhero, the bad guys for known what to show. It's like the SATA because they said they had to make the suit anyway.

Also like there's no way that they're not going to like bring people back in the new year like a dead zone. Is december even like thanksgiving through? My god, we're really going to go in for the sunday night.

I love the material like this is amazing. Get there as complete up. So i'm very noy. I'm last.

but you don't think you're .

getting IT ton of actors in the well is just like a like a lot of actors audition and the audition, everyone, no matter who you are. But I went in there and fall really good about the audition. I felt I had the creative laughing and the scenes were funny, kind of felt like I nailed IT.

And they don't like we want to test them or whatever, like the day day after and on my perfect rates. So we'll go back in for like round three, four, five, like in the new year. And just like, no, they're gonna that that tape you just did.

I do. I need to do a Better like I some changes and I got nervous because I like there. I know they're going to play in front of all the amazon tony people.

I think that's how works these days. I'm like I game and that's what happened. IT was like very quick. They kind of did the deal and they between me, I think some other person and then we and then they and then yeah, I had to drive before Christmas elves like, wow, this is awesome. I don't have to .

go to look a month of .

one yeah ah then you want the job if you like IT, you're like, I this thing and I I used to comply waking up what if I get this job so yeah it's very quick like week on process.

Well, it's fun to see you obviously like back on screen and I feel like you yeah your character is like quite hilarious like it's so funny to see you in such a different light obviously because of like the gossip logic that like will follow you to whatever you do. It's such a departure from that that I kind of love that though I think you needed to do that.

I to do that. I think I still need to do IT even more. But I like that was complete shake up in a complete, yes, that kind of dark comedy does some wear stuff in the first episode but it's like very dark and and they and they give us an opportunity show some range so come and some weird like insecurity there and like it's good, good to show .

what you do in the summer.

I'm not you know, I got to know i'm gonna hoo with the family and like in july round my birthday, I do like a fourth july and I have some friends after this place, gaza, whatever and and then ta hoo and then got no italy plans, got no italy trip this year.

You know.

either I think it's OK. It's okay. I think take a little.

You guys go to your thing. We'll be here. No, think italy is amazing. I think like the vibe is to not go in the summer.

I think so too. I think so too. It's like earlier, like late on. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And it's probably not as expensive, but there's also not as many people that that we're not in like coffee. We're like it's fine. We're going to tell you, okay, because you're going up some trip. We I didn't realize your sisters married to tony romm. That's kind of fun.

Yeah, it's great. He's awesome. We grow big cabal fans.

So that was like a good your parents. I could love that. Oh, they love IT. Yeah, they love IT.

And so he play, he's only one playing in the goal and the total golf termine was some friends in. And so is this whole like it's like my dad. For him, it's like Better than Christmas. He, the family.

I am so happy that you came on. I think you are such a great cool guy. I really had no idea what to expect if i'm honest, like I was like, is he going to be a little stiff like as you because I ve never really seen you do that many interviews do much.

I guess I don't know. I'm not like going to cool great format conversation. You're the best.

Yeah, yeah. no. This is all you thank for.

So absolutely thank you.
