Is it possible to be driven and ambitious while still being gentle with ourselves?

Today’s guest is Dr. Danielle De La Mare, a former tenured professor who found herself stuck in a cycle of burnout and overwork. She was confused, frustrated, and burned out about the future of her career: her imposter feelings--including shame and fear--drove her to intense levels of over-working & often debilitating anxiety.

Today, as a career wellness coach, Danielle helps those who are stuck in that old familiar cycle of burnout start healing so they can define their goals, make a plan to work towards it, and be gentle with themselves along the way.

Here’s what you’ll learn in this episode:

  • How to pave a self-compassionate career path that honors both personal/professional desires & needs
  • How to tell the difference between desires & “shoulds”
  • How to digest difficult emotions so your career/life path doesn't get "fogged up"

“I see self-compassion as welcoming everything: all of your emotions, desires. Everything gets to be there. It’s welcoming yourself fully and holding yourself.” – Danielle De La Mare
