How hot’s your marriage these days?  Are we talking honeymoon passion, or does it feel more like the spark is barely flickering?  Either way, this episode is for you friend.   Leona Carter is a Certified Intimacy and Relationship Coach, who empowers couples to navigate the misconceptions of sex in marriage to create long-lasting intimacy.   Listen in as Leona and I discuss the importance of connecting with your spouse from the start of your day, stepping out of your comfort zone, and learning to communicate effectively with your partner so that both of your needs are met.    Three things you’ll learn in this episode:

How to navigate some of the most common misconceptions about sex in marriage. How intimacy and sex differ and why they’re each uniquely important. The top reasons women struggle with intimacy and what do to about it.

“It's that emotional intimacy - we're connecting throughout the day. And so, by the time we connect at night, it's a continuation of the intimacy we've had all day. Think about the opposite - you don't connect in the kitchen, you don't connect all day - and then in the evening when your husband's like “hey”, there's a disconnect because now you want me to open up and make love and hang from the chandelier. But we haven't emotionally connected all day, and so now all of a sudden, I’m supposed to rev up this engine that hasn't been running all day. It doesn't work that way.” Leona Carter
