Patience isn’t just about waiting. It’s about how we wait, right? If we can help our children practice patience from a young age, we’re giving them a life-long gift. And the only way to have more patience is to practice! I can’t tell you how often I’m muttering under my breath throughout the day asking God for patience. But I know what’s happening when I do that - I’m actually asking for opportunities where my patience is going to be tested so I can practice!
In this episode, I give you smart and simple strategies to help your kids practice their patience. We’ll discuss why it’s important to start small and keep it simple. We’ll also explore the role that self-regulation skills play in practicing patience, and the power in seeing and acknowledging our children’s effort and progress.
