Forgiveness is an inside job!  For forgiveness to truly have power in our lives, it can’t just be words we speak.  If we try to forgive before we’ve allowed our bodies to feel and release the emotions tied to the event, it’s like trying to trick ourselves into thinking that everything’s good and we’re moving on, but our body knows better.  Our nervous system knows better.  And there are no shortcuts!
