Nick Kahn witnessed a silver sphere in the sky that eventually exploded into a sparkling silver firework during the daytime in September. The sphere was stationary for several minutes before the explosion, and there was no logical explanation for the event, such as fireworks or aircraft.
Silver spheres are a commonly reported shape in UFO sightings worldwide, with historical accounts dating back to 1561 in Nuremberg, Germany. These sightings often describe metallic spheres exhibiting unusual behavior, such as hovering, erratic movement, or emitting strange sounds, making them a significant part of UFO lore.
The caller's son described seeing a colorful portal in the sky that opened and closed. He explained that portals sometimes suck things up or spit things out, though he didn't observe any specific activity during this sighting. The child had never discussed supernatural topics before, making the encounter particularly intriguing.
Amber encountered a shadow figure approximately 7.5 feet tall with a head shape resembling Dee Dee Pickles' hair from Rugrats. The figure mirrored her movements before peeling off into her grandparents' room and disappearing through a wall. She occasionally glimpsed the figure in subsequent years but never saw it head-on again.
Steven experienced sleep paralysis after attempting CE5 meditation, during which he saw a tall man in a blue suit with a menacing grin standing in his doorway. The man turned his head and grinned unnaturally before Steven lost consciousness. The experience was eerily similar to other mirrored man encounters.
Heather experienced a time slip during a nap where she woke to a severe thunderstorm, only to later find the weather sunny and the ground dry. She also noticed her bedroom window lacked curtains during the storm, which were present afterward. The experience left her questioning whether she had briefly entered a parallel universe.
Ash witnessed a series of bright orange lights descending in a straight line over the mountains near Estes Park. The lights would brighten, dim, and occasionally dance in circles before disappearing. The phenomenon occurred twice within two weeks, and Ash captured videos of the events, which he described as unlike any known aircraft or satellite.
Jordan encountered a large, black, hairless creature with jaundiced yellow eyes and disproportionately long hind legs. The creature stood on its hind legs and ran into the darkness after being spotted. The sighting occurred in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, an area near Skinwalker territory, leading to speculation about its nature.
Kerrigan witnessed a silent, jet-like craft flying at eye level alongside her car on Interstate 94 in Wisconsin. The craft disappeared suddenly, and she later discovered that the area was known for UFO sightings, including a UFO Days celebration in Elmwood, Wisconsin. The encounter left her questioning whether it was a real UFO or a result of fatigue.

Good evening and welcome to Monsters Among Us. I am your guide, Derek Hayes. Howdy folks and welcome to the latest episode. I have one hell of a slate lined up for you here tonight. All sorts of weirdness to get through. And I trust that you all had a great Christmas. The new year is right around the corner.
Welcome to the Empire State, please welcome Nick to tonight's program.
Hello, Derek. This is Nick Kahn from Saratoga, New York. Just to let you know, to start off, I've been a UFO enthusiast for as long as I can remember. I've read every book on the subject, saw every documentary on the subject. What I'm trying to say is what I witnessed was something I've never read, heard, seen on TV, talked about, any place. So me and a friend of mine, it's about 10 years ago, this is daytime, and
and it's in September. Take note of the month, it's in September. So we're driving to the local mall and when we get on the roundabout to get in the mall, you could see across to the main street, the main drag and colony, which is Western Avenue. So we noticed something sparkling in the sky, something glistening.
So we looked and it was a silver sphere over the roof of the tallest building on the street. So we're a couple miles away. I'm like, what can that be? It's just, you know, it's sitting there in the air. There's no way. There's no tower there. There's nothing there. It's just a building with nothing over it.
It wasn't a plane, it wasn't a helicopter. It was a silver sphere. You could see it shining the light. So I'm like, keep your eye on it. We're going to go over there. So we went around through the mall parking lot, got on the Western Ave. It's still up there. My friend's keeping an eye on it. I'm looking up as I can.
two miles away, we can see this problem. So I'm getting closer, it's not moving. I'm like, oh my God, I've waited my entire life to see a UFO or something like this in the daytime. So we get up closer, closer, it's a silver sphere. She's like, oh my God, I can't believe what we're looking at. This is crazy. We're both, you know, agape. So we get close enough where we could get a good look at the sphere. We see the sphere. There's traffic everywhere going up and down this main street.
staring at it, staring at it. All of a sudden, you know, this has been, you know, at least four or five minutes it's been sitting there. It explodes into a firework. It's sparkly silver firework. This is the daytime.
September. So this is in July where there's fireworks, 4th of July, nothing like that. There's no reason in that area or would they have fireworks over a building. The sphere, you know, I've heard of UFOs being cloaked. I've heard, you know, where there are clouds or you can see the stars through them. Never ever have I heard of a UFO or metallic sphere the size of a vehicle, a small car.
explode into a firework. So that's my story. I just thought it was very strange. I've never heard that one before. If anybody's heard that, please let us know. Let me know through the show. Anyways, thank you so much and keep it spooky. Things are always spooky around these parts, Nick. And thank you for calling in. Well now, Nick might not have heard of this phenomenon before, but I sure have. The Silver Sphere UAP or UFO.
A commonly reported shape and description from all over the world. And to prove it, we put together a quick list of some of the more well-known silver sphere reports. Of which there are many. April 1561. Celestial phenomena reported over Nuremberg, Germany, where witnesses observed an aerial battle consisting of hundreds of metallic spheres, cylinders, and other odd-shaped objects that moved erratically overhead.
August 1967 Two children playing in a field in Cusac, France, witnessed a silvery, sphere-shaped craft hover above the ground before landing in a nearby pasture. Four small beings wearing black protective suits emerged from the ship, investigated the surrounding area and leapt headfirst back into the sphere. March 1974
Upon investigating a small fire near their home in Fort George Island, Florida, the Betts family discovered a metal sphere with the approximate diameter of 8 inches that weighed nearly 22 pounds. According to reports, the sphere displayed strange properties, including rolling by itself and emitting unusual sounds. November 1979
Robert Taylor, a forestry worker from Livingston, Scotland, was on an evening walk with his dog when a large sphere 21 inches in diameter was found hovering in a clearing near his truck. A number of smaller orbs emerged from the craft and began dragging Taylor towards the large sphere before he finally lost consciousness. April 2013
A mysterious spherical object was captured on infrared video flying at significant speeds over the Rafael Hernandez Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. At one point the object split into two before zooming off toward the coast.
April 2016, a metallic looking orb was filmed by a US military spy plane in an active conflict zone. The 4 second clip of the unidentified anomalous phenomena was recorded by a reconnaissance plane moving over Mosul, Iraq. So like I said Nick, this is just the tip of the iceberg. So all what you experienced might seem completely unheard of, like most paranormal and supernatural encounters.
It's already been reported and recorded somewhere else. It's awfully funny that it works that way. But don't let any of that take away from your encounter, Nick. Because it's a wild one, for sure. And the detail about it exploding, that's not nearly as common. Something we should certainly take note of. Thank you again for calling in. Alright folks, I have to take a quick break. But when I return, a possible portal to another plane.
We'll be right back.

Now, as promised, a portal story, courtesy of an anonymous caller out of the state of Washington. Hey Derek, I am calling from Washington State and I just wanted to share with you a story that happened a couple of days ago with my son. He is five years old and I had picked him up from kindergarten and
And we were driving on our way to run an errand after school. And there was a lot of traffic, so I was paying close attention to the roadway. I'm driving. And we are coming up to an area, an intersection that is pretty congested, so I'm really focused. And as I'm turning around this corner, I hear my son in the backseat say, Oh, look, Mommy, there's a portal up there.
And I turned the music down because it was playing and I didn't quite hear what he said. And I said, I'm sorry, there was what? Can you repeat that? And he said, oh, there's just a portal up in the sky, but it's gone now. And I said, can you share more with me about that? What did it look like? And he said it was really colorful. And then it closed up and went away.
And I was so curious at this point that I kept asking him questions because I've never heard him talk about something like this before. So I said, "What does a portal do?" And he said, "Well, they just open up in the sky and sometimes they suck things up and sometimes they spit things out."
And I was like, oh, my goodness, that's pretty cool. And he's like, yeah, but that one's gone. And I'm like, so did it suck anything up or spit anything out? And at that point, he said he didn't know. And I said, okay, fine.
I was like, that's a really cool thing. Thank you for sharing that with me. And he said, and I was like, do you see them very often? And he said, not really often, but I do see them. And I'm so intrigued by this because, you know, kids say the darndest things, but if
but at the same time some might say they are closer to the supernatural world and i found this so very interesting simply because we have never had a discussion about anything supernatural i don't think i've ever heard him say the word portal he's never talked about anything supernatural so it is pretty interesting and i just wanted to see what your thoughts are
Thank you, caller.
Those Tuesday shows aren't going anywhere either, caller. We've decided to extend them well into the new year. Well, as long as I can keep up. And a huge thanks for tuning in to those episodes. Certainly makes the extra effort worth it. Now what do you think, listeners? Does our caller's son have inside information on portals? Or does he simply possess a vivid imagination? I'll let you be the judge.
But I will say that if you have a story to share, a true story, give our hotline a call at 888-608-NIGHT. That's 888-608-N-I-G-H-T. Or record your story on your phone and email the file to me at monstersamonguspodcast at gmail.com. Now remember, don't call from a moving vehicle. Call from a quiet place. And be sure to finish your story once you start.
Even if that means you have to call back in. After all these years, I'm a pretty good editor. So don't worry, I'll make you sound great. Now, this next shadowy entry comes to us from the hills and hollers of West Virginia. Amber, welcome to the program.
Hey Derek, this is Amber from West Virginia. I'd sent you an email a little while back regarding my shadow people encounter I had as a child, and I decided I'd go ahead and record the experience so that you could hear it in my own words, and I'll essentially be reading from the email that I sent you so that this comes across a little more eloquently. So here is that story. I'm currently 27 years old. As a kid, I lived with my mom and grandparents in a nice home in rural West Virginia.
when I was say 10 to 11 years old. I was walking to my bedroom one evening to do some homework and head to bed. The hallway in our home wasn't very long, but it was long enough to catch a good look at the shadow that walked beside me the entire time. Something I found odd about the fact that there was a shadow beside me was that there were no windows in the hall and that area of the house stayed rather dark. I noticed the shadow out of the corner of my eye at first, so I turned my head and was able to look at it in its entirety.
It walked alongside me as if it were my own shadow. However, it was significantly taller than me. The shadow seemed to be around seven and a half feet tall, I would say, as the tip of its head almost touched the eight foot ceilings we had. The best way I know to describe the shape of its head is to say it was very similar to the shape of Dee Dee Pickles' hair from Rugrats. It had the same three points that protruded outward.
I continued to look straight at it and took a few steps and stopped walking abruptly. It did exactly as I did. Then I took a few more steps and stopped, and it mirrored my actions again. The third time when I stopped, it kept going down the hall, whereas it reached the end, it peeled off into my grandparents' room and went through the wall in the direction that would adjoin to my bedroom. As I reached my bedroom and peered in, it was nowhere to be seen.
For a few years after that, I would catch glimpses of it here and there, but I was never actually able to see it head on again. Thank you so much for your show. I really enjoy your podcast. I've tried to get quite a few people on board, so I think that you have a few new listeners and hopefully some more really good reviews because I've had a lot of people say they're so happy to know about your podcast. Thank you, Amber. And thank you for sharing the show. You know, it doesn't matter how much time, energy, and money we spend on growth.
Nothing beats good old-fashioned word of mouth. So we appreciate you spreading the gospel. Now, Amber mentioned that the figure's hair resembled a character's known as Dee Dee Pickles from the 1990s Nickelodeon program, Rugrats. Now, I've linked to an image, but essentially the hairstyle looks similar to a jester's hat. Three beehive-shaped cones coming off the top of the head.
One to the left, one straight up, and one to the right. Not something you want to see silhouetted in your grandparents' house. But that's how things roll with these shadow entity reports. Strange shapes in strange places. And details like this make this mystery even harder to solve. But we thank you anyway, Amber, for adding your data to the pile.
Well, you might remember that a couple of episodes ago we discussed grinning men and the infamous Indrid Cold encounter. Well, just the other day I stumbled upon one other report that I regret not having aired on that episode. But late is better than never. So here is Steven's entry out of the state of Texas.
Hi Derek, this is Steven from Texas. I've been listening to the show for a few weeks now and I've been really enjoying it. I've been debating on whether or not I should share my story but I just finished listening to the
the interview you did with your college buddy Matt and there were a few details that were so similar that I thought I had to get on here and share right away. This happened early October this past year
Started with a CE5. So on Thursday night, I was doing some meditation and I decided to try CE5. For those who don't know, CE5 is a meditation protocol.
basically call in UFOs. Now typically when people do CE5 they either do it outside or they'll go outside right after and take a look at the sky and see if anything comes in. I'm 42 years old. My whole life I've basically been very
very materialistic in my worldview, like not necessarily believing in ESP or ghosts or even UFOs. But, you know, over the past few years, I've been, you know, really paying attention. And the more I paid attention, I felt like maybe this was real. So,
I did a CE5, and then after the CE5, I didn't go outside. I just stayed in my room, and then I think I looked at my phone for a little while and went to bed. Three days later, it's a Saturday morning. I wake up. It's probably about 8 o'clock in the morning because there's lots of light coming through the windows. I look up, and I see a man standing in my doorway.
My door is open, maybe like 75 degrees, you know, pretty close to the wall there. And there's a man, he stands about 6'4", light brown hair, kind of wavy, parted on the left side. He's wearing a blue suit. It's a white man. He's got somewhat of a tan. He's facing away from me as if he's walking out the door.
So I immediately like go to get up and I start to lift my body up, you know, pushing off the bed, getting my head off of the pillow. And I'm keeping my eyes on him as I'm doing this because I don't know who he is. And then at that moment,
He turns his head, like Matt says in his story. He doesn't turn his body, but he's facing away from him. And he turns his head to the left slightly. And as he turns his head, he gives this, what I would describe as a menacing grin. Literally a ear-to-ear grin.
you know, not humanly natural. At that time I'm paralyzed, but I'm fighting it like I'm audibly grunting, like trying to push myself up off bed. And I think I fight this for like 10 seconds and I finally just drop back down. My head hits the bed and I'm back. So maybe like an hour or two later, I wake up. I'm in the same position
Thank you, Steven.
Now there's a lot I need to catch you up on here. First off, he's referring to an episode of The Beyond in which I interviewed my friend from college, Matt, who was the very first mirrored man experiencer that I shared here on the show. And CE5 is a form of meditation practiced individually or with a group with the express intent of making contact with extraterrestrial beings in order to strengthen human and alien diplomatic relationships.
Now this communication can take the form of physical sightings such as lights or crafts in the sky, or psychic imprints, visions, remote viewings, sensations, energetic impressions. It's a little woo-woo, but it's gaining in popularity. And if this piques your interest, there are some links in the show notes if you'd like to investigate the practice further. But now having said all that, I have to be honest here.
Because it sounds like sleep paralysis is most likely the cause of this strange and terrifying experience. The classic symptoms seem to be there. But hey, maybe that sleep paralysis opened some sort of doorway to another time, space, or plane. I don't think it's fair of us to completely rule that out. Either way, thank you again, Steven, for taking the time to share your unusually creepy story.
Hey, aren't you that PBM? Middleman. At your service, doctor. Don't you get rebates that save money on medicines? Oh, PBMs like me get big rebates. So why do patients tell me they're worried about their costs? No one says we have to share the savings with patients. Ha ha ha.
One of a kind.
Now, earlier in the episode, I shared an entry about a little boy that could see portals in the sky.
And now I can't help but wonder if those portals might lead to the land that Heather experienced when she endured a bout of missing time. Here is her story out of the state of Arkansas.
Hi, my name's Heather. I'm from Arkansas. I won't exactly say where, but it's in the north area. You'll know why in a minute. I work on a chicken laying farm, but it's mostly a breeder farm because all our eggs go to a hatchery for them to grow more chickens.
Well, because people are idiots, we have to keep our locations as secret as possible. But I have a possible parallel universe story for you. So what we do on a farm is we stand at these tables in this front room and we'll turn on the tables and a conveyor belt will run on the table and eggs would come out on the tables and all we do for about 75% of the day is gather eggs.
Well, that gets boring after a while and so it gets hard to stay awake, or at least for me. I struggle so much to stay awake at these tables. 90% of the eggs are laid in the morning time between 9:30 and noon. If we're good, we can usually get done about 1 o'clock and then go take a break until we have to be back to finish the buildings at 3 or 4 o'clock.
Well, if we're quick enough, like I said, we can usually have two to three hours of a break. Well, on this particular day, I did get done in time and I had about two hours, so I was going to take a nap. I went home. I live on the farm. I went home and I decided to take a nap. Well, something woke me up during my nap.
And where my bed faces, it's against one wall and across from my bed is a window. And the first thing I notice when I wake up is it's completely black outside, thundering, lightning, the whole nine yards.
and the head of my bed faces the door that comes into my bedroom. And I look up and I notice the door shutting. I live with my aunt who owns the farm and I thought she had come in to try and talk to me and realize I was asleep and decided to talk to me later.
So I turn over and I look at my phone and it says 3 o'clock. So it's like, I've got another hour, so I'll just go back to sleep. Well, when I finally did wake up, I think because the storms usually make me go to sleep a lot faster and a lot heavier. So I think I slept an extra hour than the original two. And I woke up and barely 5 o'clock. So it's completely sunny outside. And
And I'm like, huh, wasn't it just storming a couple hours ago? And that doesn't mean much because Arkansas weather changes constantly. You never can trust it. So I was like, okay, maybe the storm just flew by. But I go to find my aunt because I thought she had tried to talk to me. So I went to ask her what was it she wanted. And she tells me, I didn't want anything. I didn't come to your bedroom.
And I'm like, but someone came and woke me up. And she said, it wasn't me. And she's the only person at the time I was living with. So that stopped me. I was like, someone woke me up. My door shut. I saw my door shut. Then I go outside and I realized the ground isn't wet. It's completely dry. There's nothing that happened that day. It was
It was completely sunny, no clouds in the sky, and the ground was completely dry. Then I was thinking, I have curtains over my window. But when I woke up during my nap, there was no curtain on the window. And normally I would think, okay, maybe it was a dream. But this was such a normal dream where I could explain everything, and I don't have those.
I don't have normal dreams at all. They're always weird with some kind of monster chasing me or I'm a kid driving a car or weird stuff. I'm never, never such a normal dream. It didn't freak me out. It was just normal. I just woke up. Everything was normal. Went right back to sleep.
And like I said, that dream never happened that way for me. So I could be wrong. It could have just been a dream. But I really do sometimes think there are parallel universes. And I probably just hopped into one for a few minutes and hopped right back out. Anyway, I love the podcast. I'm sort of new. I'm an avid audiobook listener. So I
Thank you, Heather. A slip in time. A rare subject on the show, but one that has been covered many times here before.
And for those that aren't familiar with the concept, a slip in time is essentially what it sounds like. A person or a group of persons are suddenly thrusted into a new time. The landscape looks the same, but there are different details. There might be a horse and carriage sitting where a car was previously parked, or the mailbox at the end of the street was blue and vibrantly painted. But in this new environment, it's now red and weathered and plain looking.
You see, the details are just a little bit off. And before the experiencer can make any sense of what's happening, they're suddenly yanked back to present day, as if nothing strange ever took place. And while these stories might be rare, they're generally fascinating, and I thoroughly enjoy when one comes across my desk. So thank you again, Heather, for sharing with us your version of the experience. Now, who here is ready for another UFO report?
Ash from Colorado. Welcome to tonight's show. Hey guys, my name is Ash. I am currently living in beautiful Estes Park, Colorado. And this is where my place has happened, the incident. I just don't know what happened. I'm not 100% sure what's going on. I want more people to kind of
let me know what happened. I also just want some security so I'm not so crazy or think that I'm so crazy. So it was in a two-week period, time period. It happened twice in two weeks. I work nights and I travel quite a distance every night for work. And then about two, three o'clock in the morning, I
I happened to see towards probably like Cheyenne area and this happened probably March, April of this year. One night about four o'clock, I started seeing lights as I was coming into my house. I live on a reserve and there's nothing out past me that would have lights. It looked like it was heading towards the Cheyenne area.
But it was just straight lights coming straight down. They all were in a row together. And I've heard satellites and things like that, but it just didn't seem like a satellite. They were coming down. They would be fairly, fairly visible beginning all the way up in the sky. And as they were coming down, they get brighter and brighter and then they dull out.
And then every so often there'd be one or two that would kind of dance in a circle together. They would kind of split apart and kind of dance around and play with each other and then go back straight being down again. Just coming straight down one by one. You'd see maybe one and then two or three and then one.
And at some point after watching this, and I have videos of it that I'll send to you and pictures and things like that for both incidences. And this particular one, I'm just watching go straight down and straight down and then probably 30 minutes goes by and they just disappear.
yeah everything's gone so that was kind of weird to me i i had no idea what's going on i'm not sure i see satellites up here i'm in the mountains i can tell what satellites look like i mean they go in a straight motion together but you can see them the whole time they're consistent these weren't in one of my videos you can actually see a plane
flying by and you can see the lights blinking on it and everything like that. There's been some really weird things going on up here that I've seen since I work nights and I'm constantly awake. No one else is. And that was my first incident. And about two weeks later, I'm coming up the hill from out the boulder. There's a little back road between boulder and lions coming up the hill to that park. And I drive that road every day. And
Again, you know, I never told anybody about it. Just kind of went on my deal because I always think that I don't want to be that one guy saying this is really it. This is actually I know this is a UFO and it just being something else. I don't know what it was. I want to know what it was more or less. And like I said, two weeks later, I'm driving. It's like three thirty four o'clock.
Just barely light coming up over the horizon. And again, I look up in the hills and they're coming down. I mean, straight down.
Same position, a little off to the side. And I see him. I sit there down back road and I videoed it as well. And you can see him. They start out fairly visible and then they brighten up and it was the same exact area. I don't know of any bases over there to be flares or anything like that. We have a couple bases opposite directions, but nothing really I can think of that way that I know of.
And they would just come down. They'd get really bright and then they would go out, hit the mountains and kind of go out from there. So anyway, I loved it. It was great. I just, as it was still going, I left. I went back up to my house and it takes about another 35 minutes to get up to my area. And I look out where the lights were and they're still going. And I'm pretty sure I put a video on that too. And that's the one you can see the plane driving by that I tried to get as much as possible.
As I can see these lights coming down, I start to notice on the last time I saw them that it started to look like something was rotating, like the lights were rotating in giant. And this last one, it would move slightly to the right of me. Just little by little, you can kind of see it almost moving. These lights are moving over the hilltop and...
Once you realize, okay, those lights are actually coming from possibly, I'm not sure. I mean, just the way it looked to me as the horizon was kind of, as the light was coming over the horizon, you kind of see almost something turning, like the lights were turning over a horizon.
a giant object in the sky. You couldn't see anything else but the lights, but you could almost kind of tell that there was something there. Like I said, I will send you the videos and the pictures and everything. I just want to know. I just want to know what it is, what has happened. I've never seen them since or before. So yeah, if you guys could let me know what that is or if anybody's had any other, they were orange lights and get really bright orange and then go dull out.
So if anybody has anything like that, I would love to hear your explanations. It'd be great. I have lots of other stories. My whole life has been kind of weird that way. Again, I love the show. Just started listening to it and I've been hooked ever since. Love what you guys do. I would have never told anybody about this until I heard from the show. So I appreciate everything you guys do and yeah, keep it going. Thank you, Ash.
Now, Ash, I think you forgot to send me the videos or images that you referenced in your call. So if you're hearing this, please send them in and I'll be sure to post them up in the show notes. Now, a lot of times when we receive a report like this, we'll head over to the National UFO Reporting Center website to see if anyone else has experienced anything similar to what is being reported, where it is being reported.
And I'd say eight times out of ten, we stumble upon something that's eerily similar. And Ash's entry falls within that 80%. The following story, again, initially submitted to the National UFO Reporting Center, occurred only a few short months before Ash's encounter. Also, in Estes Park, Colorado. Sighting 168557.
Randomly moving lights in the sky, moving above, through and below clouds. The experiencer reports multiple lights moving at high speeds through the night sky. The light will be bright as a star in the sky, then fade out and disappear. Moving in random directions, stopping and turning, going fast one way and picking up the same speed the opposite direction. Both my partner and I are witnessing this as we speak.
This is being seen in a dark area where human lights, car lights, street lights, etc. are not impeding our ability to see the dark night sky. So apparently the skies above Estes Park are active, so to speak. And thanks to this website, we're also able to share with you that there have been over 200 Colorado-based sightings reported that mention orange lights of some sort. So I think it's safe to say that this is hardly an isolated incident.
But that doesn't mean we didn't enjoy your story, Ash. Quite to the contrary. So we thank you again, once more, for sharing the story. And again, please send us those videos, because I'm dying to see them.

Now, while we're on the subject of unidentified flying objects, I have another story featuring one that I'd like to share with you here tonight. And this one takes us back to the state of Washington. Devin, welcome to the program. Hello, this is Devin calling from Washington, Wenatchee. And I had a sighting of a UFO.
And it happened in Chelan, Washington, which is about an hour away from Wenatchee. I was working as a ranch hand, and one evening I was finishing up my day of work, and I was getting ready to head inside. And it was in the evening, I'd probably say around 5.
probably 9 to 10 o'clock at night and in Chelan there's a lake called Lake Chelan and the ranch I was working on was on I guess you could call it a mountain anyways so I had a really good view of the lake Lake Chelan and
And on the other side of the lake, there's another set of mountain ranges, the Cascade Mountain Ranges. And I was getting ready to walk in to my house. And as I was, I...
I'd seen a big orb, bright, just ball of light. At first I thought it was the moon, but I kind of looked and I'd seen the moon and realized that it wasn't the moon. This orb was fairly big. From where I was standing, I would say it was probably about the size of a half dollar if you were to hold it up in front of you.
You know, from my perspective, that was about the size from where I was at. And I sat there and I watched it for, oh, probably about 15, 20 seconds. And I grabbed my phone and I was actually able to capture two pictures of it.
It was not a helicopter. It was not a plane. I know we have a lot of search and rescue helicopters that come through and they do search and rescue. And it was nothing like that. It had no blinking lights. It was a solid orb. Very, very bright white light.
It didn't have any yellow color. It was very vibrant white. And I watched it slowly descend over the mountain, the Cascade Mountain on the other side of the lake.
It slowly dipped down until it was out of sight. This isn't the first time I've seen orbs of light out here. I've seen two other orbs of light in Wenatchee, same exact orbs. The two others that I've seen were over, there's a dam in Wenatchee, and it was right over the dam. I went
I wasn't able to capture any pictures of the other two, but I do have pictures of the one that I had seen in Chelan.
I've seen a lot of UFO sightings since I've been in Washington. It was very interesting. I wonder why it was flying over the dam. Also, I wonder why it was flying over the mountain ranges. I don't know what they would want out here. There's really not a whole lot out here. It's a pretty small city, town, whatever you want to call it.
And Chelan is about an hour away from Wenatchee through the Cascade Mountain ranges. So, yeah, that's my sighting. But, yeah, thank you for allowing me to call and share this. I've been wanting to call and share my story for quite some time. I think I'll be calling back again and sharing some other paranormal stuff that I've had happen. I hope you can use this, and thanks again.
Thank you, Devin. You know, I bring this one up because it reminds me of the East Coast drone invasion that we briefly covered a week or so ago. And it seems like those reports are starting to dwindle a bit. It's not blanketing the news like it was a couple of weeks ago. But I did hear recently that the federal government gave the state of New Jersey some anti-drone technology. But to no one's surprise, the equipment doesn't seem to work on whatever these things are.
Now, as promised, if there are further developments, real developments, not the sensational stuff you see on social media. If there are any real developments, I'll let you know. Until then, thank you again, Devin, for allowing me a moment to discuss the latest. Now, folks, the final call of the evening.
But first, I want to remind everyone to venture on over to our shop to pick up what Santa forgot to bring you. Visit MonstersAmongUsPodcast.com and click the shop tab. Now, as for that final call of the night, when I stumbled upon this one, I knew I had to rush it to the front of the line. So here it is. One of my favorites of the year. Jordan from Maryland. Welcome to the show.
Hi, my name is Jordan. I currently live in Maryland, but this takes place in central Nevada. I used to work for the Forest Service and the National Park Service for about 10 years. I was a wildland firefighter as well as a wildlife tech for much of that. This story takes place, like I said, in central Nevada in the Humboldt-Toyabe National Forest. It was about 2016, so about eight years ago.
I was assisting our biology department with, you know, various field studies, but this one in particular was a remote survey of the Columbia spotted frog up in the high country. And I think it was somewhere around the Table Mountain wilderness of the Humboldt-Oyote National Forest. It took about seven days to collect the data that we needed. This happened around like the third night we were there.
And we had just finished dinner for the night and we're kind of winding down. Everybody else is kind of going to sleep. Me and my friend Mitch, we're doing a little bit of stargazing. And we just decided to take like, you know, a short hike to, you know, work off a little bit of the calories from the elk steaks we had just had, you know, told our supervisor and we took off.
And, you know, there's nothing more stunning I've ever seen in my life than a high desert hike right at dusk. But anyway, somewhere between the ridge where we were hiking to and like where we were at the time, we got lost. We got lost on the way back from our hike and trying to get our bearings. But, uh,
I heard some rustling nearby and some heavy, heavy sagebrush. We both went completely silent, just trying to scan the area without flashlights.
We couldn't see anything. And we decided that it was probably an elk or, you know, coyote or maybe a fox or something like that. So we decided to keep walking. On our walk back to camp, we kept hearing something like it was walking behind us. And every time we looked, there was nothing there.
At this point, me and Mitch were pretty sure it might have been like a fox. Like I said, a fox or something like that. So we didn't think a whole lot of it. So as we're trying to figure out why we keep hearing this noise, all of a sudden, right in front of us, we saw something dart out from the bushes into the middle of the trail.
We both, I remember this very clearly, we both looked at each other, looked back at where the thing was, and we raised our flashlights to try and see it. And in the middle of the trail was a very large, black, almost kind of Great Dane-sized rock.
dog creature, but like its legs were a little bit longer than its front legs. Its hind legs were a little bit longer than its front legs. And as we're looking at it, just completely frozen, it was hairless. It had like black skin and
sickly, almost like a jaundiced yellow eyes. And I remember a low growl. And then it stood up on both its hind legs and ran off the trail and into the darkness. And I don't remember if it moved unusually fast or not.
Thank you, Jordan. What the hell was that?
upright, on two legs, animalistic, hairy. Maybe we're talking about the Sasquatch here, although Nevada isn't exactly known for its Bigfoot sightings, if you trickle in from time to time. But I should also note that that area is somewhat close to Skinwalker country. And trust me, if this didn't fit that description well, I wouldn't be bringing it up. I think too many people are quick to claim Skinwalker these days, whenever anything weird is seen.
But in this case, geographically and description-wise, this sort of fits the bill. After all, legend says that the creature the Skinwalker morphs into can and often will look off in some way, just as Jordan described. But, as a massive fan of this particular cryptid, I'd like to introduce one more candidate for your consideration. A werewolf-like creature most know simply as the Dogman.
Terrifying tales of a canine cryptid dubbed the Dog Man begin in the oral histories of the Odawa tribes in what is now Michigan. There have been countless alleged Dog Man encounters, often corroborated by compelling photos and footage. Blamed for violent deaths and disappearances over the years, the creatures are said to be an astonishing 7 to 10 feet tall with a wolf-like head on a human torso.
Witnesses claim they can charge on all fours or run bipedal. They also say the Dogman's eyes are very human-like, often amber, and its howl is said to resemble a human scream. Now that's a snippet from the Discovery Channel program Expedition X. And while it is a bit sensationalized, it does properly show how widespread this phenomena is now. And that is proven even further when you realize the show did more than one episode on the creature.
if I'm not mistaken. But I know what you're thinking, geography matters. Have there been other Dogman encounters in that area in which Jordan had his sighting? Well, the simple answer to that question is kind of, because Delaney did find some information pertaining to Dogman in Nevada. Specifically, it was noted that the reports seemed to stem from Shur's, Walker Lake, Earrington, and Churchill counties.
But she also uncovered this story that occurred within the confines of the Silver State. Now the following account was originally posted on a Nevada subreddit. One night I drove into Nevada from California near Doyle on Hackstaff Road to Fort Sage. On the way there was a dead calf lying on the side of the road. On the way out the sun had just set and the sky was still somewhat lit with the remnants of the sunlight. As I approached the spot with the dead calf
I saw what I thought was a Mustang standing over the dead animal. But when it began to move away, I turned on my light bar and I saw it move like a canine instead. It was dark in color, and it was tall, and as long-legged as a small horse, but was for sure a dog. Now I did some research and I found that there are wolves in Lassen County, just on the other side of the state line, in the mountains. So it could have been a wolf, but I've never seen a wolf and I would be shocked to learn that they are that big.
So there you go, Jordan. Maybe it was the same thing. Maybe it wasn't. But what it does tell us is this. There certainly seems to be something unusual roaming the deserts and mountains of Nevada. So thank you again, Jordan, for adding to that list of encounters. And folks, that brings us to a screeching halt. Because this is the end of the show. But I do have a little something extra for those that stay to the very end. So don't go anywhere. But first...

Now as promised, I have one more entry for you here tonight. And this one comes to us from parts unknown, but takes place in the state of Wisconsin. Kerrigan, welcome to tonight's show.
Hey, Derek. This is Kerrigan. My story was back in the early 90s. A friend of mine and I, we were moving from New Jersey to Minneapolis, and we decided we were going to do a trip straight through
One person drives, the other person naps in the car. So we were driving along. We were in Wisconsin, just passing the town of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. It was about 4 in the morning, and I was on the driving shift. We were driving along Interstate 94, passing the town of Menominee, Wisconsin, and
I looked to my left and I saw a jet, Air Force type jet, flying eye level to me as I'm driving down the interstate.
You know, I figured, well, I'm just tired and I'm seeing things, you know? And then I remembered, you know, also on 94, farther down, was a Air Force or a National Air Guard airport. So I thought, well, maybe they're on maneuvers. But anyway, this craft was right alongside me. And it was not making any noise whatsoever. And then suddenly it just, poof, it was gone.
And I thought, oh, you know, I just need some sleep. So we got to Minneapolis and, you know, I had kind of forgotten about the incident. And then one day I'm reading in the newspaper on weekend things to do. And it turned out that one of the events over that weekend was a UFO Days celebration in a town called Elmwood, Wisconsin.
which were right in the area where I saw this craft following me. And I was like, well, maybe it wasn't fatigue that I saw this. It must have been the real thing because someone else has also spotted UFOs in that specific area.
So it was a mystery and I've always enjoyed the fact that I may have actually seen something, but it was very frightening and scary, but fun. So anyway, that's the story. Bye. Thank you, Kerrigan. You know, this story reminds me of another from nearby Minnesota, the Val Johnson story that I've covered here a few times on the program, but essentially it's
It went like this: Johnson reported that while he was on patrol near Stephen, Minnesota, about 2:00 a.m. on August 27, 1979, he saw a beam of light just above the road. According to Johnson, the beam sped toward him. His squad car was engulfed in light, and he heard glass breaking.
Johnson said he was unconscious for about 39 minutes, and when he awoke, he realized his wristwatch and the vehicle's clock had stopped for 14 minutes. The windshield was shattered, a headlight and red emergency light was damaged, and a thin radio aerial was bent. Deputies responding to Johnson's call for help found the squad car sideways in the road. Johnson suffered bruises and eye irritation that a physician compared to welder's burns.
So I guess you should be happy, Carrington, that whatever you saw didn't decide to engage any further, because it sounds like things could have gone sideways really quick. Now thank you again for taking the time to share the phone call, and a huge thanks to everyone else for tuning in here tonight. Now typically here is where I'd switch over to the beyond, but given that it's Christmas Eve and Christmas Day that we're working on this episode, I'm instead going to take tonight off.
Spend some time with Sarah and our cats instead. But don't worry, I'll make it up to you in the coming weeks. I promise. Until then, thank you again for hanging out. Again, keep it spooky. And as always, have a good night.
