The event gained attention due to the public's long-standing fascination with Area 51 and allegations of alien activity. Additionally, historic low trust in the government (17% trust) and recent UFO sightings reported by the New York Times fueled the appeal of the 'Let's See Them Aliens' rallying cry.
More than 2 million people signed up on Facebook to participate in the event.
Only about 150 people showed up outside the gates of Area 51, and no actual storming or raiding took place.
The event was rebranded into two extraterrestrial-themed music festivals: Alien Stock in Rachel, Nevada, which had about 1,500 attendees, and Storm Area 51 Base Camp in Hico, Nevada, which canceled after the first night due to low turnout (50 people).
The participants aimed to uncover the secrets of Area 51, particularly the alleged extraterrestrial artifacts and alien beings housed within the base.
The participants used various homemade hypnotic and hallucinogenic devices to disorient and confuse the guards, allowing them to breach the perimeter fence.
Inside the hangar, they found only regular, mundane aerial vehicles of Earth design, not the expected alien spacecraft.
The alien beings, capable of telekinesis, killed several participants by using their powers to slam them against walls and cells, ultimately breaking free from their containment.
The machine, known as a 'reality splitter,' was designed to create new realities or dimensions by projecting them into pocket dimensions, allowing the government to conduct experiments in these alternate worlds.
The final solution involved using the teleportation machine to collapse all the created realities and then destroying the base to prevent the alien creatures from wreaking havoc on humanity.
What if “STORM AREA 51” had actually happened in 2019 as everyone anticipated and planned? “The Siege of Area 51” by Bryce Simmons assumes just that. And the story picks up after the siege has already taken place, from the perspective of someone who was there when it happened.
