Testing? Testing? Is this thing on? I don't know. Can you hear me? I'm Taylor. And I'm Sam. And welcome to the first episode of the F Word Podcast. You're going to hear a lot of great things for us, like our thoughts, stories, tips, and hear from special guests. Completely raw and real, all the good shit. And none of the bullshit. Fitness changed our lives when we needed it the most, but unfortunately for us, we had to go through all the ups and downs of figuring out ourselves all alone. But luckily, you guys got us.

The name of this show means a lot to us. As you know, we share our fitness advice on social media daily, but it's become kind of a taboo topic. We got fitness shaming, exercise addiction, and orthorexia. And many more. But we're here to show you guys how putting your physical health first changed our lives for the better.

All right. So I guess we can kind of just jump right into it. I feel like most of you guys don't even know like what my age is. I'm actually 22 years old, turning 23 in July. And then Taylor. Yeah, I'm 20. I'm turning 21 in November. I've gotten a lot of comments on TikTok thinking I'm 15.

Yeah. I am 20. Yeah, no, our age gap is definitely... There is an age gap, but we have a lot of similarities. We've been through quite a bunch of the same stuff. So I guess I can just touch base a little bit on my story, and then she'll touch base a little bit on her story. But obviously, as you guys know, I played field hockey and lacrosse in college all four years. And I didn't start my fitness journey until November of 2019. And it was...

It was crazy. There was a lot of things that I believed on social media that within a quick...

glance of just looking at something like Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram, I would believe it. And I wasn't educated. So it's so crazy that we can now like give you guys this platform so that you guys don't have to go through like those types of things that we went through. I suffered from an eating disorder that led into a binge eating disorder, didn't know much about fitness, no lifting, lots of cardio. But then once I started to educate myself, it quickly changed.

Yeah, I started around the same time too. I made my fitness page December 2019. And just for the months before that, I was at college kind of alone, you

Going to the gym just became my happy place, but I had no idea what I was doing. Same thing Sam said. I just followed anything I saw on the internet. I thought tons of cardio and body weight only was the way to go solely to just get skinny. But luckily, my passion for what I was doing, even though it was totally incorrect at the time,

led me to do so much research on it and get my CPT and just fall in love with it and let us hear now. Yeah. And like, that's another thing too, guys, like start a, start a fitness page, like seriously do it. Like, even if you think you're not going to like become like this big fitness influencer or whatnot, like that was not our intentions at all. The reason we made our pages was solely to like follow other people, get motivation, educate ourselves and just have like a nice safe place that we could like log into and just learn and

document our journey and stuff. So like, I feel like when I did make my page, I followed all types of influencers and they educated me so much to the point where I was like, all right, you know what? I'm going to actually go for my CPT. Like I'm going to educate myself even more beyond social media. And then that's when I did that. So it's like having a fitness page is not always all about like wanting to be a fitness influencer. It's solely can be for you just wanting to learn more and document your journey.

Yeah, exactly. And my page for me even turned into almost an accountability. Even if you only have 100 followers on your page, let's say, even less, 50, whatever it is, those people are looking up to you as some sort of role model in some way. So I knew I couldn't...

fall back into bad habits or stop eating or give up on exercising. Because even when the numbers weren't there, I felt like I had people I needed to make proud. And I was showing my life and I couldn't back out anymore. And it became such an accountability aspect for me. And I don't think if you guys...

I'm assuming most of you follow us if you're listening to this, but you happen, if you happen to find this on Spotify, thanks for being here. But, um, I don't think you guys know how much of an impact you've made in my own fitness journey. Cause you guys keep me accountable. Like totally keep me accountable. Yeah. It's crazy to even now that you say that, like looking back when I had like a hundred, 200 followers, like I was doing mostly like food recipes and stuff, but it's

I would have people DM me being like, Oh my God, like I just found your page. Like you're so inspiring. I'm like, wow. Like that's crazy because I was solely just doing it for myself. And then you start to realize like I'm helping people. Like that's the main reason I completely left my degree of graphic design and got a CPT because I realized how many people I was impacting just through social media. Yeah. And that totally ties into to what we were saying in the intro that, um,

in exercise and eating a certain way and being fit goes so much past the way we look. Yeah, totally. Like, it is all about how we can help people and how we can help ourselves for, like, more than anything. Exactly. Like, the physical stuff is honestly just a bonus. Yeah. It's a great bonus.

but it doesn't even compare. It does not even compare to helping people. Even if it's just one person, if you can get into lifting and even just tell your friend about it and they start going to the gym with you, that feeling's unmatched. I wish I had a gym buddy when I first started out. Honestly, it is nice going by yourself, but when you can start that journey fresh with somebody...

and educate each other, push each other. If you and I had each other when we first started out together... Game over. Oh, my goodness. Oh, I don't even know where we would be right now. See, but I don't even think we'd be here. I feel like our journey gave us character. Yeah, it really did. And it brings out a certain level of confidence in you. Going to the gym alone is scary. It is. I'm not even going to lie. It's so scary. I would stay in the little yoga mats in the corner where you're supposed to stretch...

Never leave. I went to the freeway section once, grabbed dumbbells, and I was like, oh no. I haven't even been to that area of the gym I used to go to. Like, I haven't even seen all of it. It's so scary, but that gave me a lot of confidence going by myself.

That I was going to say, like, I don't know if many guys are going to be on here watching this, but like there's such a stereotype with that being like, oh, well, I'm the only girl on the freeway. It's like I'm super scared to go. It's like, well, there guys are still scared to go. Like literally everyone has that day one, that uncomfortable feeling of going to the gym. It's not just girls, but like once you can fight and get past that uncomfortable spot and just start to feel like a bad badass, you are.

You will be so addicted to going and going in the free weight section because me and Taylor, we literally both started getting in the yoga mat, bringing your booty band, going into the corner, grabbing one dumbbell, doing those exercises. But once you got comfortable with it, game over. But that's what it can be for you. You're little gym buddies. You can listen to this on the way to the gym, while you're working out, on the treadmill. Oh my God. We're right there. You guys can't even be alone. We're right there in your ear. Seriously. In your earplugs.

But yeah, then when our fitness pages kind of started taking off, I mean, it's kind of surreal. It's still surreal because it's happening so fast. But all of a sudden, it just took off. We just became...

All of a sudden, role models for so many people, and it's been tough to juggle, but thank God we found each other. Literally. Thank God. And that's all because of you guys listening. We met, what, three months ago? Three months ago. Guys, we, so today is the 8th, and we went to the Lifetime Fitness that she works out at.

Like, every day. And the first time we ever met each other was at the Lifetime in the parking lot. And I was, like, walking in there, and I was like, wow, like, three months ago, like, I met you here. And I feel like I've known you for years. Yeah, and it was...

It's always intimidating. I say always. I meet influencers on social media all the time. But meeting up with people over the internet, I don't know. I feel like there's such a stereotype about it. I even made a TikTok about it. You never know who's in it for followers. Are they just trying to get content and leave? Because we've had instances where people are a little weird about the content stuff. And it's just like you're just there for a tag and that's it. But we literally just...

became friends instantly. And three months later, we're sitting on my bed recording. Exactly. That's like touching base on that too. Like we were sitting on the beach that first day we were together and I literally looked her in the face. I go, we are literally soul sisters. Like we were talking about deep stuff like on the beach. Whereas like there are so many people that we meet on social media where they don't even care to ask how many siblings I have or

where I went to school. Like they don't ask those types of questions. It's all like Instagram, Instagram, blah, blah, blah, like that type of stuff. Like when we found each other, luckily, like she said, through you guys, we knew like right away, we are the same person. I even said it on our Instagram DMs. I was like, I like, I like your content. Yeah. And that's also because of you guys too. We were being tagged in the same stuff all the time. So you guys really hooked it up. And

I totally just blanked out on what I was going to say. Okay, no, I got it. But that's also the beauty of this podcast. We are so... We're genuinely friends. We're not just posting on Instagram stories and taking pictures of our food and not speaking. We're genuinely friends, and this is kind of the only platform you guys will be able to truly see that. I mean, we vlog on YouTube, but...

This is just like you guys get to like sit down with us for an hour or so. Whereas like Instagram or TikTok, like you just see little like skits or little clips of our life. But like down the road when we have more podcasts coming out, like you're going to get our personalities. You're going to get just like joke nights, like fun stuff.

Yeah, and I'm so excited to share that with you guys because it's just been missing. We even, the second time you were here, we went on a walk around my neighborhood and we're just manifesting this podcast because I've been wanting to do it.

I thought it was something I was going to do solo. Then I was like, oh my God, a co-host just fell into my lap. I was like, you have to do a podcast with me because I think it'd be a little boring if I was just rambling for an hour. I don't think that'd be that entertaining for you guys. And we were trying to come up with names and all this stuff and...

I didn't think it would be happening this fast, but we did it. Yeah. And to say, too, I even put this on my Instagram story. We are starting this in Taylor's bedroom, but let me tell you, this is not going to last long in her bedroom. We are going to get a podcast studio set up type thing, and oh, it's going to be exciting. Yeah, because we got big things coming. I won't even be in this bedroom anymore. Yeah, big things coming. Damn. Life is changing so, so fast. We're so thankful for Taylor.

Every single day. And we're so excited to also on this talk to other people. Right. We've been meeting so many people in the industry the past like...

two months and it's just everyone's stories are so interesting everyone's stories are so different and unique and it's so cool to hear where people come from especially the people we have on if you've never heard of them or if you follow them but you don't know any of these sides to them it's gonna be so fun like people's brains I just literally got the chills from that two months we were in LA two months ago and our life has popped off since then and that trip to LA Sam just called me

Like, I'm going to LA next week. You should come. And I booked a flight. And that was like my second time meeting Sam ever. She would have been a serial killer. And I went. It's so funny because I just remember her face when I said that. Like, she looked scared. She was like, what? And I was like, yeah, come to LA. She's like, uh, okay. I hadn't been on a plane since I was 10 years old. So I was slightly terrified. Yeah.

But we went with it and thank God I just pulled the trigger and went. And that kind of leads us into the little point we're going to talk about at the end of this, which is take some risks. Go for what you want in fitness and in life in general. I mean, in fitness, it's huge. If you want to reach a goal, if you're not up every day working for it, it's never going to happen.

Really, guys, we are schedules. You like you probably think, oh, they just like record what they're doing every day. And like, that's all they do. But like we wake up every single day at like 7 a.m. And we are working our butts off until like 9 p.m. Like we don't stop. It's either content or clients. Oh, my goodness. Like it's just it's a lot. And I don't think sometimes I think we just get bored.

kind of like crap for it. Like, oh, like you have it so easy, but I'm like, no, like we hustle, we work our asses off. We get out of our comfort zone every single day to get into the position that we are in.

And there's such a bad connotation with fitness influencers, especially from like guys on TikTok. I feel like they just see fitness influencer and categorize it as a girl with like a body she got from plastic surgery selling booty bands online. And they're like, oh, fitness influencers. But I take such pride in being a fitness influencer. And I can't stand when it's taken like that. Like, oh, you can't get real advice from a fitness influencer. Like we're not just,

out here selling our bodies on the internet and calling it fitness. Ugh.

The amount of fitness... I wish you guys could see. I talk with my hands like crazy, but I wish you could see my hands right now. I'm quoting, doing the air quotes. But the amount of fitness influencers out there that just have great genetic bodies, greatly gifted. They're just like models, whatever, that have a booty band that they sell, but they don't work out. They're trying to make profit off of you guys for selling a booty band or a workout guide or something like that. I'm just like...

They didn't put their time and money into educating you guys. It's just their body that they're gifted with that they can just show off and use to their advantage. Yeah. And the way we've hustled for this, I hope that not just the way we work out is inspiring to you guys, but especially when we bring on guests...

Influencers or not, I mean, I know a ton of people that are just fitness instructors, you know, not influencers, but just work in the fitness industry on their own. And it's such a hustle, like being an entrepreneur and making your own coaching business, teaching your own classes, writing your own programs, selling your own guides, selling meal plans, whatever it is that people do, it is such a hustle. And I know all of those tips are

no matter what field you'll go into, the people that we're going to talk to are so hardworking, you can apply their tips to anything. Like Bradley, Steffi, all those people, their work ethic is like no other. And it might not seem like it because all you're seeing is 30-second videos every day, but the work ethic is crazy. It's so inspiring. Especially like any entrepreneur. This can apply for anybody. Yeah, anyone.

you are working for your money. Like, if you're not working, you're not making money. Like, you're not just making money just because you have a big name. Like, they're working day in, day out. That's like with YouTube or even us filming this right now. Yeah. No one is making us film this. Yeah. No one. We do not have a boss that is like, you guys need this recorded Tuesday at 3 p.m. No one told us to do this. Making the artwork...

buying the microphones, setting this all up in my kitchen for the last hour. Shout out to my brother for the help. Thank you so much. But all of this, the planning, walking for an hour outside, brainstorming all the ideas, no one did that for us. And no one made us do it. We just put in the work and now we're here. And you guys can do it too.

And I hope you all do. I love seeing when you guys make your own pages. I need to give a nice shout out to Taylor too. She is literally a college student and still doing all of this as well. Like there really are no excuses. Like as long as you put that effort in, do what needs to get done. If you need to work extra hours, so be it. You're chasing your dreams and that's like what's most important.

Yeah, and I mean, my college is the untraditional route, I must say. That's something I'll probably talk about in an episode because I've been wanting to share that story and I haven't gone in depth with it. But I hated college a lot and it did lead me to this. If I didn't hate college, I would not be here right now because I would have been living it up in my sorority and never went to the gym. So everything happens for a reason.

I also had a part-time job until last week. Yeah. I forced her to quit it. Yeah. It was a lot. It was definitely a lot. Yeah. But thanks for giving me credit for that. I try. Of course. That was Dean's list. Yeah. There you go. Okay. All right. She tapped herself on the shoulder. Or the back, I guess. Yeah.

But no, yeah. Like that's another thing too. I feel like that's another thing I will touch base on at some point down the road is obviously why I left Stride to Thrive. It's not because of anything bad with them, but it literally was just because I felt like I was under like an umbrella really being held back with my entrepreneur self wanting to pursue other things like this podcast, for example. And that's just like another prime example. Like if you have something in your life that's holding you back or you feel like you need to break past that comfort zone of some sort, like-

Do what you need to do. Like you're your main priority. You're the most important aspect. And if you're allowing other things to get in the way of that, that's just, I don't know. I'm like ranting it like on repeat. I was at my dream school, a top 10 university.

And I made the decision to transfer home and stay completely online. A lot of people told me that I should try again, that after two years some people like it, that maybe I should rush a sorority again or I should try to get into more clubs. But something in my gut told me I needed to leave and start doing this and give it all of my time and effort. And it was a huge risk. Like I said, I left my dream school, packed up my apartment and left.

to come here and go back home and live back with my parents and be someone that's in college but still living at home to pursue my dreams and it worked. I think that's another thing we can both think is quarantine. Like that? Quarantine, yeah. Was like...

when we both really started to get into it. Because I wasn't even thinking of anything really. I was just like, whatever, it's the gym, I'm going. But then when I was stuck at home with nothing to do, I'm sure a lot of you guys saw my OG content. I have a garage gym, and that's where I really started to do it, record my workouts and stuff. I did get lucky with that, too. You got lucky with that, too, because we could record things not super uncomfortable in front of people at the gym and just...

create content alone. I did a live workout in quarantine. This was actually before most fitness pages were doing live workouts. It was very early quarantine. I definitely had less than 10k on Instagram. I was very small on Instagram and my family was like, oh you should do a live workout and I was like, oh that'd be fun. I set up my phone, the wi-fi was terrible, only like five people were on at once and I literally got nervous and turned it off and didn't do it.

And that was like the first like few weeks of quarantine. And I probably came out of quarantine. Like the difference from that first live video that I turned off because no one watched it to when quarantine ended is insane. Yeah. To the end of the summer. Yeah. That's another thing too is like when we were stuck, you could probably relate to this. When we were stuck in quarantine, like I would have friends like making fun of me for like all of my like content that I was doing. I'm just like...

whatever, like don't let anybody judge, like don't let any, anything negative that someone will say about you making a fitness page or anything like that, like get to you whatsoever. If you're happy with what you're doing, that's all that matters. Yeah. Fitness page or not. Do you, I had so many people making fun of me, people I know in real life and people on the internet, um,

Like, I mean, not to just like hate on guys, but mostly guys, like because I was using like eight pound dumbbells at home. One, it was quarantine. Two, I wasn't that strong. So, so what if they were eight pounds? I could barely shoulder press those eight pound dumbbells, but it was quarantine. I don't have a home gym and I got hated on, you know, because I'm posting these workouts and I'm like, I wasn't that strong. I wasn't that built, but I...

Had a passion for it. Yeah, exactly. It's so crazy. I'm like, I'm having like deja vu, like just even like thinking and looking back on all these things and all those workouts and stuff, guys, like that we still like, those are still on our pages. So if you want to go look back at those, like we were teeny beeny. If you go on my, my IGTV, they're all of my live workouts from quarantine. No, like if you need home workouts, they're, they're pretty hard. They're like 30, 40 minutes. Like,

full body weight only or dumbbell only home workouts and I used to do those in the middle of the summer in Miami it'd be like 90 degrees and I did it in the beaming sun because that's where the lighting was the best I almost passed out on live I remember your videos because you watch them I would yeah I like they would always fall go on my for you page like I didn't know who you were and I was just like okay like this girl's always doing hit like I'm just like not gonna fall because at the time at the time we obviously didn't really like

I didn't have a squat rack. I was quarantined. No, I know. I'm just like, I just like didn't follow. Actually, my TikTok at the time wasn't even like a fitness TikTok. It was just like a regular TikTok. But then I like, I remember seeing all those videos and I was just like, wait a second. It's like hot where she lives, but I'm in quarantine. And it's like, there's two feet of snow outside right now. It's so funny. Like thinking back and like actually remembering these things. Yeah. But please don't scroll back on my content, especially on my TikTok. It's so embarrassing. I used to, I got...

like followers on TikTok from like dancing in bikinis that's how I got clout so crazy clout that's such an ugly word I don't know what else to call it sounds so like privileged but you guys know what I mean yeah I got like followers for dancing in a bikini some people still follow me from those videos

Really? Yeah, I get comments like, I followed you since that video. Oh, wow. Or like, oh, yeah, I followed you since the beginning of quarantine. Or DMs that people be like, it's crazy how far you've come because I followed you when you made this. Yeah. It's crazy, too, because we are just now accepting, guys, this week that we are influencers. We were sitting there, we were thinking about it, we were like, we are actually influencers now. It took us so long to accept the fact that we are actually like...

have the platforms that we have now. Like, say the number thing that you were saying. What? Oh, like how people have, like, the same followers as us? No, like the football stadium thing. Oh, yes, because Sister's husband was saying that with the amount of, like, Instagram followers I have, I can fill up the largest football stadium in the country. So crazy. And, like...

I like don't even know how this is real life. No. And it's not even like a, oh, now we like know we're influencers. It's just now we know how seriously to take this. Because one, we know that kind of like I said earlier, we want to make you guys proud. Yeah. So accepting that it's not just a joke anymore. Yeah. It's,

It's real. It's real stuff. It's paying our bills. Seriously, though. It's paying our bills. We have to look nice when we go out in public now. Oh, no. That's the worst part about it, too. I'll be walking in Austin, and I'm like, I have to look presentable because I don't know who I'm going to bump into. I look like a tomboy looking all crappy, and I'm like, whatever. Whatever.

But we're so thankful for it. You should have seen us when we announced this podcast. Oh my god. I think I did like slightly cry like on the live. You guys have no idea. Like I was not expecting a thousand of you to come on my live. Like the amount of people I usually get on lives is like maybe like

at 200 yeah like 1 200 and then all of a sudden it was going up one two three four like all the way up to a thousand I was like what the heck yeah her phone started glitching yeah my turn so many notifications that it was glitching and you know what I was sad about that though because I wanted to save that live and like post it on our feed but I couldn't because it just cut out it just my phone turned off she tried to announce it and she's like guys the announcement is and then she starts saying it and all the comments are we can't hear you it

froze. We didn't hear anything you said. Damn. No, yeah. And another thing, too, is, like, we're obviously down here in Miami right now, and we've been just, like, going to all, like, these new gyms, like, exploring and stuff, and I just think that's so... Like, that, like, kind of relating back to, like, the whole, like, getting your name out there. Like, if you want to, like...

Obviously, you guys look up to us and you want to do what we're doing, but one thing you really need to consider is traveling, going to different gyms, meeting people. It's just so fun being able to see different atmospheres. The world is so damn big. The amount of gyms that there are in Miami, we were sitting on our phones scrolling through, looking at all these gyms. She lives here. She's never seen half of them. Starting to scroll through. We got a list to visit for the week.

Yeah, it's crazy, and we still get nervous to go in gyms. We still don't know how to use... Equipment's different at every single gym you go to, for the most part. Yeah.

So it's still a little scary. There was a just embarrassing moment. Make you guys feel better. I'll throw this in. Literally right behind the squat rack was a giant pile of clips for the barbell. Like a huge stack of them. Me and my boyfriend are walking around for five minutes trying to find another clip. He literally went to the lady at the front desk and was like, do you guys have any more clips by any chance anywhere? And walked all the way back to where we were standing and there was a huge pile right in front of our face. So that was kind of embarrassing. Just...

In case something embarrassing happened to you before you listened to this. No, yeah. Maybe you feel a little better. Exactly. That's like the whole thing is like, oh, I always feel so nervous going to the gym. Like we still experience that when we go to new gyms. Especially we don't even write out our workouts until we get into the gym because we don't even know what like these new gyms will have for equipment. So we'll usually just like walk on the treadmill and then like figure out what our workout plan is going to be. Because if we have like something like a hack squat in our programming and then we get in there and that gym doesn't even have a hack squat, we're like, oh, well, we have to figure out something different. Yeah.

Yeah, and even like how I said, we asked the girl that worked there. She had no problem showing us. She probably didn't think it was that embarrassing either. A stereotype, how we were saying with the title of our podcast, just kind of all the negative connotations that come with being into fitness. A lot of people assume the people that are really buff in the gym are judging you so much. They're not at all.

They're like the nicest of them all. They're so supportive. So supportive. The guy over at Absolute Recomp Yeah, that spotted our spots. Like people will like if you like we were spotting each other for the first time ever. Horrendous. Horrible. It looked so bad. Almost died. Like I literally I almost just dropped the entire like barbell on Taylor. But this guy like he literally gave us like a whole tutorial and like was teaching us and like ran over to make sure we were like safe when I was like dropping the barbell like onto Taylor. But like

He offered to spot me, totally took time out away from whatever set he was doing to talk to us and spot me. And I feel like I would have thought a while ago, like, oh my God, that powerlifting guy thinks we're so dumb. Yeah. But no, he just wanted to make sure we were...

and not hurting ourselves. Like, spotted me, give you tips. They're so nice. Yeah, they really are. They're so nice. I think that has to be, like, our most genuine encounter that we've had. Like, at least together. But that one was good. Obviously, I cannot stand, like, the whole, like, form tip thing, but, like, that's another whole story. Yeah, it's a different episode. We can go on forever. We could go on forever. Yeah.

Yeah, this is more or less just like a nice intro. It's just like talking about like... If you can't tell, we're just chatting. We really are. We're just like chatting. Get to know us. Get to know kind of what we stand for, what we like to talk about. So this might be totally rambly, but I hope you guys like enjoy this. Oh, 100% they are enjoying this. Like, let's be real here. If you're not enjoying it, lie to us. Yeah, right? And DM us that you liked it. Yeah, just be like, guys, this was really good. Like...

Can you at least hear us correctly? Like, I hope you guys can hear us. Like, we're going to listen back on this and like the audio is going to be so crappy. Imagine. But the rest of our episodes are definitely going to be structured. They're going to have a main focus on

Teach you stuff. Talk about our life. Interview other people. But they'll be way more structured. We're just on here to say what's up. Yeah, for real though. Like, we're in a very weird place in our life right now where everything's just all over the place. I just moved in. I still don't have a mattress, by the way. I've been sleeping on an air mattress for a month.

but we just got a lot of scrambling around going on, but we wanted to get this podcast out there. We seriously did want to start it, but we got some really big, exciting things coming in the future. So exciting. Yeah, we've been going around Miami, trying to find things to do here, taking like 30-minute drives every day. I've had a broken nail for probably coming on a month. Yeah, these nails are very outgrown. I feel like that's how you can tell life is...

life is rough yeah it really has not gotten fixed yep but this is our priority see i could be at the nail salon yeah we don't we don't have time for the nail salon here we don't have that's that's the biggest struggle too my eyelashes always a struggle to get there because i can never take like two hours out of my day to like do something like that our life yeah

That's also just because we like, to be honest, really overwork ourselves. We really do. Like yesterday we were, um, we went on a walk and I was like, all right, Taylor, I'm leaving my phone. I was like,

She was like, okay, I'm going to leave my phone. I'm like, okay, bet. Like, this is going to be a nice walk. We left our phones. The walk was, like, 30 minutes. And then I go, okay, Taylor, now we're going to take a shower and we're still not going to touch our phones. And we didn't touch our phones again. Like, that is just, like, so nice, like, holding ourselves accountable with, like, not looking at our phones because we do really get very overwhelmed sometimes and, like, anxious, stressed out. And it will reflect on, like, our mood and our, like, how we treat one another. Like, if I'm, like, in a crappy mood, like, sometimes, like,

I feel bad if you're around me. I don't know. I'm just like, it happens quick. The phone, it's powerful. Yeah, but that's why being with someone else that understands is so nice because I totally get it if something... If you post a video and you're just getting horrible comments, that sucks. Yeah. It sucks so bad. And sometimes I'll wake up, go right on my phone, and instantly I'm like, oh, a video kind of went viral. And I get excited, and then I tap on it, and it's just...

hate on hate on hate and I'm like especially when you don't expect it to be hate like you expect it to be like a good outcome but not a lot of people get it yes they're like sis this just ain't it I'm like yeah and if I see bad comment and I tell people I know I mean they have great intentions to my family boyfriend friends love you guys but you know a lot of people are just like oh don't let it get to you but they don't

Unless you're the one that's posted a video with a thousand comments calling you names or calling you stupid. Yeah. Or making fun of the way you look.

You don't really get the feeling. Yeah, it sucks. So when we're with each other, we can actually understand, which is nice. Especially TikTok. TikTok is the most toxic app. TikTok is brutal. There is this... I'm not going to say names, but there is this one account out there that will do it or stitch and just say these negative things. This was probably a month ago this happened to you or something. And you were texting me and you were like, I just don't want to be on TikTok. I don't want to post on TikTok for a week now. Like,

I hate this. I hate this feeling. And she's like, that's just not how we should want to feel. We are genuinely trying to put out content for you guys that are to better you, make you happy, make you smile, get you out of depression, get you out of an eating disorder, whatever it is. And then when we get backlash from our content, we're just like, well...

Like, what are we doing? Like, what are we doing wrong? Especially in the fitness community on TikTok, it has become such a thing for grown-ass men. These guys are definitely in their, like, 30s. Oh, yeah. They're, like, grown adults critiquing our workout when I've always said if someone's promoting exercising, eating right with no, like, false promises, let them live.

And you just get torn apart. And it's just because you're a girl. Because they would never go to, like, a guy's page that's well-respected and do a wet-their-workout. Yeah. Never. It's literally just because I'm a girl and I wear, like, a cute set to the gym so you think I'm an easy target. Exactly. And it sucks. I had to block those accounts. The block button. Yeah. That's another thing, too, guys, is there's no right answer to a lot of fitness content. So it's like...

Not one fitness influencer is right over the other. That's just not how it is. Yeah, even with us, I mean, we obviously are very into lifting weights because our content is centered around muscle growth, progressive overload. What did I just say? I don't know. Progressive overload, all of that stuff. And people on TikTok think because I promote that I lift,

That I hate on every other type of working out. Which is so false. I have such respect for people that are really into spin. Really into Pilates. Like, whatever you want to do, do it. The general premise of our fitness advice could still apply. Yeah. But even if, like, we're not for you. Maybe you don't want to lift weights. I literally am not going to force you. Yeah, exactly. You can do whatever you want. I don't care. Everyone has their own passion. Like, even, like...

Like a few years ago. Like my passion for fitness was through sports. Like it literally can be anything. Yeah, and I was big on HIIT and quarantine. And the reason I don't like HIIT anymore is because I did it so much in quarantine. I just never want to see it again. Because I'm like, I had to do it every day. So no, I don't want to do it anymore.

And that one thing I could definitely say that I hate is I hate the stairs. Like I genuinely hate. You made me do stairs. Oh yeah. I just, I got to like, obviously like getting a nice burn is nice. But like when I went through my eating disorder, I used to do the stairs every single day for 60 minutes. So I'm like, I will always like promote, like I'm like, I said it on my Tik TOK today. I was like doing the stairs for 60 minutes. Like, no guys don't do that. It's horrible. It's draining mentally, physically, like,

You're... You just... That's my... Like, that's how I felt. And I don't want you guys to feel the way I felt. But if you genuinely enjoy doing the stairs because it makes you feel good and all these things, then sure, go use the stairs. But that's just my opinion. Yeah. Like, you don't need to be forcing yourself to do it, which is what... That's honestly always what we say with Fitness Advice. It just doesn't get taken that way. Like, when I say...

you don't need to do X, Y, Z exercise. And people are like, oh, but what if they like it? Yeah. Well, then you can do it. Oh, I said that with glue activation. I was like, why I don't do glue activation? And I literally put, if you enjoy using a band for a warmup,

literally use your band for a warm-up that if you genuinely like the feeling, you think it makes you really warmed up, makes you ready to go, I could not care. In the best way possible, I could not care less. But I post that for someone that thinks that they have to spend $20 on a booty band and they don't really have time to do a dynamic warm-up and then do glute activation. They don't need to do it. Yeah.

And like that was in my mind too. Like I would see those like fitness supporters and I'm like, okay, I need this booty band because that's how they got their butt. Like, no, no, no. You can use it, but you don't need it. Like, exactly. I don't know. That applies to every single thing we say. So I guess that's a nice disclaimer for the rest of this podcast. Yeah. As long as it's not going to cause you physical harm.

do whatever the hell you want like that's another thing too is like it fit like that's the great thing about uh guys we're we're personal trainers like if you want to apply in our bios like go for it but like this is another thing too is like oh like but i but i like doing cardio that's great but what if your goals are to put on lean muscle and grow a little bit put on some weight like

then no, you can't do that cardio because that's going to hold you back. So those are the only types of things that we would say, oh, like, no, you shouldn't do cardio. But like, if you like it, great, but it's going to hold you back from your goals. Exactly. There's a difference between exercise because exercise is healthy and you should move every day and exercise because you have a aesthetic goal. Yeah. Because if I liked running and I was like on my glute growth journey, I had to stop running. Yeah. The running was not it.

I have clients that I have one of them she was like oh I run like four miles like three times a week or something and I was like I know you love to do that girl but we gotta cut back on that or just eat a ton of a lot of extra food 400 carbs it's my dream my metabolism will get to that point slowly but surely

I love food. Carbs are my favorite, I think. What is your favorite? Carbs, protein, or fats? Like, flavor-wise, like, what I would prefer to eat. Honestly, like, I really like peanut butter. So you would pick the fats? Like, if I could eat, like, peanut butter, I would eat everything. I love oats, so I'm going to say carbs because, like, I just love the mushy texture to it. Oh, my God. It doesn't even have to have protein in it. No, I like carbs, too, but the thing is, like, I would be so hungry all day.

Yeah, no, we're just saying, like, if, like, you had, like, like, if you had, like, only, like, okay, you only had tofu in front of you, you only had oats in front of you, and only had peanut butter in front of you, which of the one three are you gonna pick? Oats is the most, like, logical, because it's

protein and carbs a little bit okay so now you're getting really into it right now well like if I had to eat one as a meal I'd rather not eat like spoonfuls of peanut butter who am I kidding yes I would I pick peanut butter I'm like what we will literally eat our meal prep

cold as a rock like seriously like we guys we it's so funny we will pack our meal prep and like people are always like do you guys heat it up I'm like no I'm like I eat it cold like I don't care cold if I'm hungry like I'm hungry I'm gonna eat I don't care what's in front of me first of all we just had sweaty leg day in Miami we're eating outside it's 90 degrees you think I want hot food right

What are we speaking about? I don't know. We're so off topic. But this is what we wanted to do. And if you don't like this vibe, some podcasts are so structured. They're so informative. Love podcasts like that. But I love a podcast where we can just talk. It's freeing. We're also not using our phone. I know. I just keep looking at my phone to see the time. I'm like, are we going over time? Do you know when we started? I don't know. I don't know when we started. Yeah.

Posted three hours. Two hours later. A four hour long podcast. People are like, I love you guys, but I don't want to listen to you for four hours. Oh, damn. Maybe there are, there are going to be a few people out there. No, I don't think they like us that much. Our podcast comes to an end and they're like, oh, it's over? Damn it. Hmm. What else haven't we touched?

We've touched on so much. Everything that we've talked about, guys, could literally go into more detail beyond what we've said. Oh, and it will. They're all great topics, but honestly... It will, because you'll see it all. You'll see our goofy friendship side, but also we know our shit. Yeah, we do. We're smart. I mean, Sam graduated college already. I got that degree, baby. She has a degree. And I made the Dean's List one time, so like...

I'm kind of using my degree guys I've been using my degree for like the podcast like the graphic design like I like put I didn't do the cartoons but I like put everything else together and like throughout the rest like you'll see a lot of great graphics out there I will not be using my degree not that I I don't have it we'll see if we get it no but um let's have a dropout party

Where? I don't know. Everyone's sliding to my house. I know Bradley will have to come to that because he'll be so happy. Pursue your dreams, man. Damn. For real, though. We are literally going to be on Spotify in... What's today? Tuesday? Three days? In three days we're on Spotify. Damn. Well, I mean, they're listening to it. So we're on Spotify now. Oh, yeah. Facts. Damn, guys. Do we drop a little secret? What secret?

Yeah, I think we should tell them. Is that how we're just going to end it off? You want to just tell them? Yeah, I think we should. Okay, drumroll. I don't want to make too much noise on these mics. We're not that familiar yet. Yeah, I don't really know. But like, we got big things coming, guys. August 2021.

We will be roommates. We will be freaking roommates, guys. Oh, my God. I knew this was, I manifested this whole thing because I literally told her before she was coming to visit Texas, I was like, I just want to let you know, like, you're going to love this city and you're not going to want to leave. She extended her trip with me. I don't even think we told you guys that. But she extended her trip. And then within that week that she did extend it, we signed our lease. And it's...

I mean, it's so crazy to me being like an adult on my own at this age because part of me feels like I just graduated high school. Yeah. But I stayed in Austin. Thank God I did. And we had one day to make a final decision. Literally, not even one day, four hours and more like two hours for me because then I was on an airplane. And now we have an apartment, a nice little two bedroom apartment. It's going to be so cute. It's going to be the content. Yeah.

is going to be insane. You guys aren't ready. Oh, we should probably tell them too. Like they're probably like, Oh my God, where, what, where, where, what? We're like all this information. We're basically, I'm leaving my one bedroom in the same apartment complex and moving into a two bedroom, literally on the same floor. So this whole transition is so easy, so smooth and it's happening quick. Sam just has to move down the hall and I,

I'm moving states. That's the farthest I've ever lived from home, and I'm so excited. And that's why I said at the beginning of the podcast, just so you guys know, this is starting in Taylor's bedroom, but it's gonna... Bigger things are gonna come. We're gonna have like a little... It's gonna be so awesome. We're gonna have a pretty cool setup in our apartment for this podcast. It's gonna be so awesome. We don't even...

It's probably supposed to be like a dining room. No, it's going to be our podcast office. We don't need to eat. No, we need to eat. We don't need a table to eat. Yeah. We need our cold meal prep. Exactly. We don't need a dining room. I'll just like sit on the ground or something. Yeah. But yes, I will be living in Austin, Texas. We just traveled this whole summer.

Pretty much. I'm traveling, like, almost every week from here on out. Yeah. I mean, you're here now, but I consider this kind of a trip because, like, you're here. Yeah. Like, when we're doing stuff. And then we travel, and before we... Before you guys know it, we'll be roommates. We're going to keep it a secret just so I showed up. I don't like lying to you guys. And I think announcements are... Like, you guys, like...

like, giving announcements is so much better than just being, like, bam, like, also, I get so eager to tell you guys, yeah, like, I have a guide coming out, and I said the 15th, and I'm, like, should I put it out early, should I put it out early, because I just want to, like, tell you guys everything, yeah, but I'm, like, no, stick to what you said, like, follow, follow what you said you were gonna do, but I'm so excited, the content will never end, you guys are gonna be so sick of

I mean, I hope not. I'm like, then our careers just go down the drain. No, totally kidding. But, and don't worry though, you'll still have like the old content we used to make. It's not like every single, like, we'll still have our own social media. It'll still be like kind of the same, but just better. Yeah. Just, just so much better. We have gym partners. I hate working out alone now. I hate it. Working out alone sucks. I was alone that one day and I was like,

This sucks. Literally sucks. It's so boring. We don't even wear AirPods anymore when we work out. Yeah. Well, especially too, a lot of the gyms we go to, they have massive speakers, like just blaring music. Not Gold's Gym. Gold's Gym does not do that, but like Lift ATX blares like seven different speakers, all different music, like depending on what room you're in. It's like you don't need headphones. Yeah. And then when they know Zou Culture...

Yeah. Yeah, that they announced that. Yeah, so like, Zoo Culture is coming to Austin too, and that's a vibe to work out in. You don't need headphones in there. Yeah. I mean, today we worked out in silence. Yeah. But like, we talked to each other. But yeah. I didn't even notice we did that. Yeah, it was silent in there. Oh, damn. I didn't even notice. Yeah, it was a good workout though. It was. We did cardio without headphones. I know. We're psyched. Oh my god. What is wrong with us? Yeah.

I'm just comprehending now. People must have been passing us like, these girls are psychotic. They have no headphones and then they're doing the stares. I was like talking to myself all the time. I was literally making TikToks. I was watching a YouTube video to try to pass time. It didn't help at all. I actually wanted to like jump off the machine. Yeah. I just want you guys all to know I'm starving right now. I mean, I think it's been like...

40 minutes? I don't know. But I really liked it. This is fun. This was really fun. I hope we, like, said something that was, like... Yeah. I hope what we said was...

Like, not educational, but at least, like... Get to know us. Like, get to know, like, our vibe and us as people. And if it sucked, we're only going to get better. Yeah, no, seriously. It's the same thing. We were so nervous. We probably did, like, the intro, like, ten times. Like, just practicing back and forth, looking at each other. Saying, like, hey, I'm Sam. Hey, Taylor. Whatever. But it's, like, same thing as Instagram stories. If you guys are, like...

like scared to do something, you got to do it more than once to get better at it. So that's going to be the case with this podcast. They're with us. We, we are not going to be perfect at it right away, but at least we just want to give you guys some entertainment. And so you guys can feel closer to us. And like, you're part of this little friendship too, because you guys are like,

you're definitely part of it you're like a whole family literally like I have some girls that religiously DM me like every other day or something and I'm just like I know you like there's so many girls out there that I'm like I want to know people that's why I wish more people said hi like I'll get DMs like I saw you at dinner like or I saw you walking around the beach and I'm like you should have said hi like I want to

to see you and like know who you are because if you think about it it's kind of creepy like I just post stuff and thousands of people see it and you guys know me and what I do every single day and I don't know you like I want you guys to feel comfortable to like come up to us like I've in like if you guys are okay with a hug like I always ask first like I'll be like oh can I hug you especially with COVID yeah that's exactly so I'm just like then I'll give like you a hug because I want to hug all of you can I get near you yeah

But yeah, this is just a little further dive into our life and our friendship and a platform we can share. Because even though we're on each other's stuff a lot, we don't share one platform. So this is us. That's it. Sam and Taylor. Sam Taylor. Did you guys notice that my first name is her last name? Yeah. Did you guys like pick up on that? It took me a while. I'm not gonna lie. No. I followed you for like weeks and I was like, what? Yeah. We share a name.

So that's also why it's meant to be. But thank you guys so much for listening. Whatever platform you are listening to this on, make sure to follow the podcast on Apple Podcasts. I'm pretty sure you rate and review the podcast. I don't believe you can do that on Spotify, but on Apple Podcasts. Give it a five-star rating.

Four star, but nothing below four star, please. Yeah, you will seriously ruin our lives. Please be nice. Just give it a rating. If you like us, it'll support us a ton. Your guys' support means the world. Make sure to follow for episodes every single Friday. Rant sesh. A rant sesh, yeah. We love you guys. I don't even know how to wrap up these things. Me neither, I guess.

See you guys next Friday. Yes, exactly. Bye.
