What's up guys, it's Sam and Taylor and we want you to put your shoes on, pop open that energy drink and go.

hey guys hey guys what's up um i hope you guys are having a lovely day a lovely friday if you're watching this when it comes out um today's wednesday for us yeah we've had like a pretty busy day i got my eyelashes done so feeling like a brand new bitch her retention on her lashes is actually insane she can go like three weeks without getting a refill yeah but now i kind of feel like i could like fly away there

away. They're so hard. And then here I am, I have to go like every like eight to nine days. It sucks. So yeah, we did that. Went to the gym. Someone literally DM me today. Like what's on your agenda for the day? I'm like work and gym, work and gym, work and gym. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, it's the same thing. And then Thursday, Friday changes a little bit. We're still busy, but then the weekend rolls around and we do some fun things. Yeah. Life is just, honestly, it's so hard when there's like a lot of stuff going on and then it's like,

It's hard to know what to talk about on the internet, but like life is crazy. Like I don't even know. Like it's so nuts, dude. And people in my TikTok comments want to be like all up in my life drama. Oh yeah, that is facts. Yeah, I've decided that I feel like I just want to keep the rest of my like life and everything just like as is like privately until...

You know, I feel the need to like talk more about it. You know, we just got like really excited and happy and, you know. I wanted to share with you guys. Rushing things. Yeah, so.

That's that. But what else has really been going on? Yeah. Taylor wants to get a tattoo. I do. We were talking about getting that. We were going to potentially go Monday, last Monday. Oh, now we need to go. Yeah, now we definitely need to go. Basically, also, moral of this, this is actually, I think, a lesson you all want to hear. If you have a grind, you're going on...

do not f up your schedule or your grind for a boy or for anyone for anyone really but like don't let anyone distract you for your from your grind and like what you want to do and it's like now I just should have gotten a tattoo because like why was I like not yeah we can do whatever the hell we want there is so much

Today was such a bad freaking day. I'm going to be honest, but we're on here on the mic and we literally were like, we need to flip

Because we have a really exciting guest, which you guys obviously know who she is. Yeah, you guys know. We have, like, a fun, happy, exciting guest. And we're like, so you're telling me the day we have something fun and important for our work, life is just going to, like... Throw a curveball. Yeah, like, it's like a fucking bus. That's not fair. That is not fair. It's not fair at all. And I'm, you know...

But we keep it going. We keep it rolling. I'm honestly glad we had this because we would have not done this. We would have done it tomorrow. Taylor, I'm not going to lie. I cannot wait to get drunk. I don't know when we're going to get drunk, but I can't wait to get drunk tonight. I'm ready to have two guys. I think we should go out. No, my mom. I think we should go out. It's a Wednesday, Taylor. So what's going to go on? I think we need it. If you guys were...

in our life right now you'd agree yeah you would you'd be like take a shot you'd be like no go out say I'm only yeah say I'm only um but my mom sends like a really long time ago a congrats 100k like champagne bottle it's been just sitting on the counter and I'm like I just want to chug it

Should I go grab it? Should we chug it? Should we grab it and start getting drunk on this podcast right now? We should do a drunk podcast. On my 21st birthday. Yeah, 21st birthday. On my 21st birthday. Oh my God. That would be so fun. We could do like a Q&A. No, we gotta do something where they could get like juicy information out of us. Like truth or drink. Yeah.

And we can videotape it for YouTube also. Yes. That would be so funny. I wonder, okay, maybe we should talk. What's like fitness life updates that we have? Really nothing. I've been so, we started a bulk. Yeah, we just started our bulk, but we're three days in. So we don't really have much to talk about in terms of that. Next week we'll be, we'll definitely have more information on that. But we did start. Yeah. If you're wondering, we did bite the bullet and just started doing it. So that's fine. Um,

Um, everything else has been pretty much the freaking same. Good news. And we can start working out closer to home now. Yeah, that is facts. I have a car now here. I don't know if I had a car last episode. I don't think I did. Yeah, no, she didn't. So now I've been driving. Because your car came on Sunday. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, Sunday. I've been driving. So that's cool. That's an update. And yeah, you're like back drinking caffeine. Were you back drinking caffeine last episode? Yeah, I think I was. Wasn't I?

I don't know. I can't remember. Yeah, I was. I'm back into Celsius. I was in a Celsius cake. If you followed me from my Celsius cake, you're like an OG OG. But, um. Oh, wait, I forgot to tell you. My dad sent me a picture of the mail that came today at the house. And C4 still has my wrong address. No. They sent the Starburst. No. No. Guys, we were at Lyft ATX this morning. No way.

and taylor points to the lyft atx like fridge and goes wow look c4 has starburst flavored and i was like that looks so good like we might have to buy it turns out c4 sent me a package but they sent it to my house at home dang tell them to mail it i've already told them to re like rechange my address like three times and they've done that they've done hey whatever when i go home i have c4 waiting for me because my brothers aren't gonna like it

We need more. Okay, I'm going to message them right now before I forget. Yeah, I'm like, you're right now on the pod. Literally, they changed. If you go to the C4 Instagram right now, their thing is all like Starburst. That's so funny. That's so funny, dude. Yeah, I pointed it out. I was like, oh my God, I want that. Yeah, honestly, guys, ooh, definitely there's controversy between C4 and Celsius, I feel like, with like our following. I feel like it's 50-50 when people tag us. I feel like I get ripped when I use C4, dude. What do you mean ripped? People are always like,

how are you going to show your gym person and you drink a C4? And I'm like, the energy drinks are good. And then people think it's a twisted tea. They're like, why are you drinking in the gym? And I'm like, it's a frozen Bomsicle C4. It's not a twisted tea. No, sometimes I feel like that when I'm driving on the road and I'm like, it's like nine in the morning and I go to grab the C4 and like, I take a sip of it. And then, no, yeah. And then someone in the car next to me like looks and they're like this psychopath. But I'm just like, in my head, I'm like, I hope they think that this is an energy drink and not alcohol.

because I think they think it's alcohol on my TikTok all the time. And I want you to talk about this. Speaking of TikTok, today I posted a TikTok video

and the internet's so mad about it dude like I posted it's a big trend where it's like oh like my loss and then you like kind of just hype yourself up and I purposely called myself a blonde because when I get highlights and I call myself a blonde the blondes love to be mad at me so I'll literally get so many comments like blonde this is brunette and I literally commented I was like pov you called yourself a blonde so the girls would get mad and flood your comments and it worked yeah like I was like I literally did that on purpose I was like I'm

And I was like, haha, they're all going to come. And everyone's like, humble yourself. Like your hair is brown. Some of your, but then some people are like, oh, some of you are insecure. And someone's like, why are fitness influencers so toxic post breakup on public platforms? I was like, it's a big trend.

Oh my God. Legit. You know what's crazy too? Fitness influencers toxic. Like what? I hope there's specific people that like listen to this this week. I'm not sure if they will, but. Oh, I hope they do. If you are a, if you're trying to be like known in the industry and you don't take shit and you don't take the hate comments.

you're not gonna like you're not going to survive and it's not even like it's like take a risk yeah like live your life the way you want to live it on camera stop being so like if you fake your whole life and hide everything from the camera people are gonna like notice yeah like you have to be vulnerable like you can't just like back away and think that like because cameras are involved and people knowing is

Going to like, I don't even know, but you just need to be vulnerable. It's just 2021. Like if you want to like grow a brand, you need to be yourself on camera. Yeah. Especially if like you can't fake it. Like you don't have to be like mean or anything controversial, but you need to like be yourself regardless of what.

like a few people are going to say, that's so important. Like, that's really why I post TikToks like that. Cause I'm like, actually, yeah, I felt confident in the car today. And like, I look cute in this gym video, but if I post something, hyping myself up, people are going to be pissed. And they were, but I'm like, one, I'm joking. Like I actually would never say that to someone. Like, I would never be like, no, it's your loss. I'm pretty. Like I

would never say that it's just a tiktok trend and a joke but i'm getting destroyed in my comment section yeah there are definitely some times where we specifically will make something and i will we'll look at each other like this is about to get so much hate until you guys don't care i literally called myself blonde because the the girls are literally like like you're literally not a blonde it has 200 000 views literally because girls are being like blonde wear oh my god and i'm like

most of my hair is blonde right now like yeah you are most of my hair is blonde but um that yeah that's that that's what i did today on tiktok just menace to society just oh i have my like regular page back but i don't really post anything i've been so like i'm fucked up like things have been just happening in my life and i get so sidetracked and it pisses me off no more getting sidetracked we have like really big ass things that we need to work for

I think it just sucks because we just went on such a roller coaster. Yeah, we literally were like great with our business. Then we both took like a mental health break. We were like, and then we were like living our best life and like genuinely like enjoyed the people we were with. And like, we're having a fun time getting out of our comfort zone. And then what did I put on my story? I put on my story today.

I put, yeah, just when you thought, you know, when you think shit's going good and then life just says, LOL, JK, take it back. That's like kind of exactly what happened. Yeah. Like I was like, things are, it's just like, let's plug, let's plug our snaps right now. Oh,

Guys, my Snapchat is SammyT711. I'll spell that S-A-M-M-Y-T-7-1-1. And then Taylor's is... Mine is Taylor Olsen with three N's at the end. That's my snap. We post on it a lot. It's really fun. You see like the comedy side of our lives, like more like not like so serious. Cause like obviously Instagram, you guys need to understand sometimes Instagram, like we have specific things that need to be posted at specific times for companies. So it can sometimes look

like not branded but just like not like fun so when you want to see the fun side to our life yeah i feel like snapchat is like my private story yeah even though it's public you're like it's like my private story guys i'm road to freaking 10k i think i have 9.7 we're getting close i got 7.5 ladies we're we're almost there oh oh yeah 9.9.7 oh wow i wonder what happens when you hit 10 like do they give you like nothing they give you a prize do i get candy

Something? Probably not at all. I love Snapchat, guys. I said this on live, I think, that I, Sam, Snapchat is genuinely funny. Like, it's actually hilarious. And speaking of- I was just about to say, speaking of live. Guys, I went on live two days ago. Yeah, like two days ago. There was over 700 people on it. You almost said 800.

was we were manifesting it I've never seen like like me verbally saying a number in the in the number happening we were like got on it and I was like like like right away like I was just kind of like two seconds into speaking and I was like oh Sam there's kind of a lot of people on this like 250 and two in the 200s I'd say it's like kind of normal high 100s to 200 and then like if you have 250 the whole time that's like a good live and

So I was like, oh, there's a lot of people on this right away. There's like 250. And I was like, oh my God, there's like 275, 300. And then we were like 350, 400. Someone said in the comments, they're like, this is like an auction. Cause I kept being like, can we get 350? Can we get 350? Okay. Can we get 400, 400, 400? And kept going up, up, up all the way to almost 800. Yeah. It was crazy. Like we were screaming and then people were just like, this is the funniest live I've ever seen in my life. Cause we were

We were like dancing and then we started like squatting each other. We're like, what do you guys want us to do? Tell us what you want to do. It was nuts. And it wasn't even all, there was some, some creepy people, but it was also just like a lot of like real. Yeah. Real like, like you guys, I'm sure. Oh my God. What's going on? And then people were counting with us. They were like six. Yeah.

Except the comments like delayed. You know when we get excited and they get excited too. Like it's just like a fun time. They're like freaking out. They're like, yeah, like let's go. And we're like, we're literally in like real life time. Like on the line, we're like, yeah. But then we're screaming and then it kind of dropped back to 300 and we just stopped. Yeah. And like Sam went back to making dinner. I just sat down. I was like the energy just instantly changed. I need to be that happy all the time. I know. That was genuine excitement. We just need to get the negative people out of our lives. Everyone's a negative person.

That's what I've come to realize. Literally. Like we can't find people that are like, just want to have freaking fun. And yeah, like everyone sucks. That's going to be our next podcast. Everyone sucks. Everyone sucks. Trust no one. Trust no one. Trust no one. Get close to no one. Never switch your schedule around for anyone. Never drive out of your way for anyone ever. Basically that's.

that's that yeah i mean literally oh super freaking random but shout out to chase you probably don't even listen to these podcasts but happy birthday it's like two days past his birthday now oh yeah when this comes out yeah they're stupid sam we definitely gotta get back on dallas again yeah i do want to go to dallas yeah i know you want to go to dallas i want to go to dallas so bad totally goes against

everything I just said yeah I know it does I do want to go to Dallas oh my god that could be that could mean anything it could mean anything I just want to work out in the gym she just wants free supplements she wants to see Nick I want to see Nick and I want to see all the people I want to go to Dallas yeah it's also just fun to like get away it is no let's go to no let's go to San Diego yeah

we need to get out yeah we need to get out let's get the let's get the full go also our engagement on the podcast instagram has been insane and i hit 120 on my main instagram and thank you so much for that but dude podcast instagram i'm about to go over to it because i'm pretty sure our last post had 3 000 likes 3 000 guys me and sam got in a fight today because she's like what did we talk about no not a reason

Not a real fight. But like, we were like, okay. And every Instagram post tag, the podcast page. And I forget. You don't tag it. And I was like, you know what?

I forgot. Okay. Sorry. Oh my God. It does have 3000. Is that crazy? We have 13.4 followers. I know. Whoa. Well, should we tell, should we tell Brittany to come in? Yes. Now that we just rambled, that was all over the place. People are probably like, I know the ADHD like is insane. No, you know what it is guys. I'm going to be so real. We, we were not in a mood. So to get ourselves into this happy mood, we'd had to just like talk like we're on.

like like you would think we just like took a dry scoop yeah but we needed to like talk with energy and ramble to get energy back yeah and get back in our element especially i don't know why i took a caffeine cleanse and i just feel like it didn't really work that's oh my goodness oh my god yay she's in here i hope this like works right away i know the connection's good guys we're also i'm just so you guys know we are doing a zoom call with her yeah she just entered the chat oh my goodness oh

I think you're on mute. Oh, connecting to audio. Oh, yeah. Okay. I was trying to have my mic work and now it won't work. Hold on. Now I can't hear you guys. I was trying to, you know, use my bike, but. Yeah, no. Yeah, it's all good. I can't hear you guys.

Yeah, we're very raw with the podcast. You know, technical difficulties, they happen. We leave them. Yeah, we don't care. But we obviously, we're just telling our podcast a little bit about you, but we would love for you to introduce yourself. Yay. What's up? I'm Brittany Lupton. Right now I'm living in Michigan, but I feel like I've moved all over. Really just am always moving. I'm a mom.

and I like to lift weights I feel like that's as basic as it gets oh yes I every every guest that we've had on here has literally said the same exact thing minus the mall part though yeah that's the most yeah well um we know you've been traveling a lot lately how was that gym that you went to that you posted on tiktok the john what is it called

Yeah, John Reed Fitness. It was so sick. I've seen it all over TikTok. I don't know. I saw it all. It's just downtown. In LA? Because right before you just popped on here, we were talking about how we want to travel somewhere soon. And I saw that gym and I was like, oh, geez, I really want to go there. I know. I saw it all over TikTok and I was like, I'm here. Let's do it. Yeah. No, it looks like a good time. Okay, nice to meet you. I've never met you.

I know, good to meet you. Like, obviously we follow each other on Instagram, so like, I feel like I know you, but I'm like, hi, nice to meet you. Never, never officially. I know. How long ago was it you were out in Austin? Like two months ago? Yeah. July, August? Yeah. Yeah. So I don't know if you guys listening saw, but about two months ago,

Brittany was out in Austin. We got a workout in together at lift ATX, which is so much fun. She's a badass. She's so strong. She reps out some heavy ass weight. We did, I think a push workout together and I was thoroughly impressed with what she was able to do. Um, she was actually telling, I was telling her about it because we were using a machine and I was really bad at it. And I was like, Oh my God, Sam, you're so strong. She was like, no, I came here with Brittany and she had like a plate on both sides. And I was like, yeah. Yeah.

She was like telling me about it. She was like, no, you don't understand. So funny. Yeah. So obviously we got like the little gist of like, you know, who you are and stuff, but we would love to talk about like how you got into fitness and how you got to like where you are now. Yeah. I feel like, I don't know, maybe a lot of people can relate to this. I don't feel like I ever really started.

started like i grew up in an active household right like my mom was so good about cooking like healthy meals she was always like a protein veggie carb on a plate for dinner like she was very good at keeping us fed which i didn't realize is such a blessing because i know some people they just have no idea like what to eat or how to eat or how to cook but my mom was like on it since day one and then i did a bunch of sports in high school growing up you know so i was always active and then it started in like college okay

I met some people who would always go to the gym, right? It always just, it just takes one or two. So we'd like regularly go to the gym with all these bros. They're like my besties. So they kind of introduced me into lifting. This was back in like 2015, 2016. And so I'd always work out with them. And it was really nice to go to the gym with somebody who knew what they were doing. Right. So you're kind of like, okay, what do I do? How's my form and everything. And

And fast forward to 2018. So I'd been going to the gym. I'd been lifting for a while, but I didn't see any results. And I'm like, okay, I feel like I'm strong, but I don't feel like I saw any definition. I'm like, dude, what?

what the heck? So I feel like 2018, I guess is when I could technically say I honed in on what I was eating, like a got into a more regimented workout, like increased my intensity. And from there just kind of learned everything, became a certified personal trainer and was posting about it this whole time on Instagram. And then it just kind of took off. I feel like that's like the 32nd rundown of how it started. Right. Did you go to school for anything specific, like related to it or no?

No, I went to school for communication. So I was like working in an advertising agency. I just met friends who were really into the space that introduced me to like Cass Martin, who do you guys know who Cass Martin is? Yes. I love her. She is like queen bee. And I was like, that's awesome. Like that's a good goal. So that kind of like started my interest in it all. That's awesome. How did you, you said you were posting it on Instagram. What made you decide to post it on Instagram?

I had seen a couple other like fitness places, I feel like, or fitness accounts. And I feel like that was kind of also piquing my interest because I like saw Cast Martin and I was like, oh, that's so cool. Like, I would love to do that. So I just started posting. When did you start your page?

I think like 2018. So it was all at like the same time. Yeah. I remember following you, like not to fangirl in any way, but I remember like following you, Libby, Cass, like a bunch of you guys, like way back. And like, it's just so crazy, like where everything is now, but yeah. Yeah.

But anyway, like, no, but it actually is crazy. It's so crazy. This is like our podcast right now. Yeah, I know. People are like, yeah, actually so funny. Shout out Sarah, our social media manager. We, she makes our edits. So we're like, oh, like here, like Brittany's coming on Friday. And I know Sam asked you for photos. So we're like, here's the photos of Brittany. So you can like make a post. And she was like, oh my God, no way. I love her. We already, we already know the like,

feedback we're going to get on this episode is going to be crazy because we had like from the very beginning so many people requesting that you were a guest on this so yeah so it's going to be good especially getting it out there and then putting the little um edit that sarah made for you it's so cute because that's why yeah i think your edits are great and i love that you guys started a podcast like a new little dynamic duo i love it i love this friendship

like you guys move across the country you're living together I love it it's great but no seriously thank you for even having me on I was like so honored I was like no perspective because of course I think we're gonna get into this in a little bit but like I mean you're a mom like that's so badass so badass I say it all the time too I'm like I'm always saying it to her I'm like I cannot believe like if it's like

like fitness related, like with lifting weights or whatever. I'm like, I can't believe she can do that. And like had a kid, like, I'm just like so blown away. And it's so crazy. Yeah.

But no, seriously, we're going to be doing that the entire episode. Yeah, seriously. That's why we're here. Yeah. But I guess kind of tell us a little bit about that with like how you balance it, because I know there obviously are our audience isn't necessarily a lot of moms, but there are people out there that do have, you know, other commitments that they do have to commit to, which can take away from their whole fitness aspect of their life or even work.

Um, so kind of touch on that and give some like advice. Yeah, I, it is definitely not easy, but I feel like it's not easy for anybody, right? Like everybody has to figure out how to fit a healthy lifestyle into their routine and make it their actual life. I feel like for me, it was setting realistic expectations for myself throughout pregnancy and like postpartum. And now even being a mom, like I'm

I started at three days a week. I was like, that's all I can manage right now. And whereas before I'd work out five, six days a week, like hard and heavy. And I've just had to adapt and adjust my schedule to something that I know I can hit. Because I feel like when you try to go for those five and six days and it's unrealistic and you're not hitting that, that's when you get in your head and you're like, I'm failing. I'm not doing good. Like, oh, I'm sucking. But actually, I'm not doing good.

setting those realistic expectations of, okay, I know I can hit three days a week going on that. And then slowly increasing my days. Like I didn't start going four days a week until the beginning of this year. Like it has been a very, yeah. And my son's almost two. So it's like, it's been a very slow process for me to get back in it.

And I think that that's okay. I think too many times, again, people are like, let's, I've never been to the gym before, but I'm going to go six days a week. Cause that's what all these people are doing. It's like, no, stop with where you're at. Build on that, build your confidence, build your routine, your structure, and slowly add back in more things. Same with like diet and what people eat. I hate saying diet. Cause I don't actually mean diet. I just like mean what you consume. Cause I, yeah. Yeah.

With what you eat, I feel like people are like, I'm never going to have any sugar. I'm never going to have any sweets or carbs or whatever they think they need to cut out. And I'm like, no, everything is just so small and gradual and you've got to find what works for you. I feel like everything is such a trial and error in all of our fitness journeys and I

our fitness journeys are for life. Like our bodies are for life. So these habits and things that we're trying to learn should be sustainable that we can have forever. I don't know if that exactly answered your question. No, it definitely did. And I wonder, cause

I mean, obviously that's kind of like a broad overview. And I think that's what we tell people all the time is you have to be realistic. But as far as like day to day, like in like time management day to day, was it like, you know, you got to make the sacrifice to wake up really early to get to the gym or go late at night or like squeeze in like meal prepping in the morning because you had to like, like stuff like that, that you had to do to like get it done. Yeah.

Oh yeah. The nitty gritty. I mean, I wake up at five every day. So yeah, I do. I wake up at five. This is my day. I'll give you a typical day in the life of Brit. Okay. Let's get into it. I wake up at 5am every single day. And sometimes if I have a lot of work, it's 4.30.

Like if I'm like, I've got to get it done. It's four 30. Cause that's my only time. That's my only time to work. But I'm so like, this is what I want to do. I absolutely love being able to work and also being a mom. Like I want to be there for my son when he's awake. Like that's, those are both of my priorities. So I make it work. I just suck it up. So I'm up. Yeah. And I work until he wakes up. So that's usually five till 7 30 AM or eight.

And then we like, you know, get ready. We have breakfast together. We usually do like oatmeal and he eats what I eat. So it's really nice to just make like bigger portions and then we eat together. And on the days I go to the gym, we have like a really nice gym that has like a little kid care. So he like goes and plays with his friends. So I don't feel like a bad, but there's so many activities for him to do. And he loves going to the little daycare and

And I get my workout. So it works perfect. Then we like come home, we have snacks, our post-workout meal, and I feed him. And then he goes down for a nap. And when he goes down for his nap, that's the other portion of my day that I'm able to work. So I get those like two to maybe two and a half hours in the morning and then another two hour block. And that, I mean, that's the time I get to work. So I've got to get it done and I've got to get it done quick. So I'm always, I'm

prepping like the night before of what I need to get done and yeah I mean then when he wakes up from his nap we just play go to the park have dinner together as a family and you know that's that's typical day but yeah of course I love that and I love that your gym too it's very important too for people to realize that like there are gyms out there that like have daycares and it's oh yeah

important to like take advantage of that and I feel like people listening because people love excuses and they would still even though it's like look we're having someone on here that's literally like a mom and has a kid and wakes up at 4 30 to get it done people would still probably try to say like oh but you just like do social media so like you don't get it like people like still try to make excuses and it's like there is none like there is none at at

at all people always try to find a reason why they can't do it and it's like no you should actually wake up before 30 in the morning and gets it done and you could probably do that too yeah oh yeah oh yeah people say they don't have the time but I'm like okay well I guarantee if we looked at your schedule we could find some time for you to do this because you know everybody's aimlessly scrolling yeah you could always find time yeah yeah

So I guess we could, if you don't mind sharing, like obviously about like work, working with Gymshark, like all that stuff, like how you balance it all, I feel like, because I feel like you do so much. I feel like you do YouTube too. Yeah. You do YouTube. So you do YouTube, a little bit of TikTok, right? Yeah. TikTok, Instagram, Gymshark, your app, merch. Girl, you do it all. Who does it all? I do. I do.

Damn. It is a lot. Well, you guys know, you guys know it's hard to always, it's, I feel like in our job, it's like, you're never, you always feel like you're never doing enough. Like I could always do more and you have all these ambitions and you're like,

Oh, so it's hard trying to find that balance of like, okay, I'm actually doing enough. I'm doing good versus let's go. I want to just crank it out and get it all done. I think one of the big things is having a list of like my priorities. I have to prioritize like top three of the day, you know, whether that's Instagram, which is, I feel like my main platform, I'm always like, I've got to make sure Instagram.

I'm doing that, but it's so hard. Like it's hard to have, I feel like it has its ups and downs, right? Like I'm doing really well on TikTok and YouTube, but then Instagram slacking and then, oh, I need to go back. You know, it's kind of always like finding a balance, but yeah, I feel like just prioritizing what my top three are and being organized is,

like as a business woman, as I would say, is so crucial because there are so many things and I've learned that delegating is helpful. Like I love that you guys have a little manager for your podcast. Like that's so genius so that you can take a little bit off your plate, like trying to find a video editor and then finding a designer for merch and all that, like finding, you

help and resources and delegating I'm still not that good at it I still feel like I do all of it myself but like I'm I'm learning through that but yeah we were really stubborn at the beginning we were we both were like we don't want to like we don't want someone to help us like we want to do this all on our own like we were really stubborn with it but now that we have like brought on Sarah um

to help us a little bit. I'm like, we just want to continue to bring people on. We're like, we're like, come on guys, like help us out. Like we love her so much. And even, I feel like that's even why we like did this together and everything. Cause like, I always wanted to start a podcast and I talked to her about starting a podcast and I was like, wait, we need to do that. Like together, like we like, you need to like take advantage of having like

two brains and like two and like almost every new project or idea we have now we're like it's like we'd like kick ass on that to like as like together yeah like and to like kind of take like I don't know if it's like taking like the like letting your like pride or like ego go yeah a bit like and being like you know like we need to work on this together and like hype each other's content up and like be like you need to have like people to like work with you you can't just be like oh it's me

And just me. Yeah. Like I don't need anyone. Yeah, no, that is, I think that's really important. I think people go into social media thinking that. Yeah. Like that, like it's just them and they don't need anyone and they don't need help from anyone or need to help anyone. Yeah. And you definitely do. I was going to ask you, what was the moment like that you realized this was going to be like your job? Yeah.

Yeah. Good question. So let's see. I started in 2018. I went part time when I hit like 10,000 followers on Instagram. I was like, okay, like maybe this can work. Cause I was like, I hit 10,000. That was like the magic number back then. I feel like when even you guys, you know, you get the swipe up link. It's like, this is big. Like you feel official. You get a swipe up and you're like,

Oh, okay. Let's go. Yeah. So I hit 10 K and I was like, I'm going to go part-time and everybody thought I was crazy at my job, but every lunch break I was in editing YouTube video or working on something. Like I just always just wanted to make this work. And so I just put in the work hoping that it would turn out, but I moved to Arizona. I have like

15,000 followers. So we moved in. I was like, okay, I can either apply for a new job or really just like go out on a limb and see if I can financially like make this work.

And I got really lucky. And when we moved to Arizona, I got like a supplement sponsor and then I dropped a preset. I don't know if you guys, you guys know what like Lightroom presets are for like your photos. So I dropped those two things and it was enough where I was like, okay, I can like kind of justify this. And you know, like small little sponsor ads came up for like random stuff that I was like, okay, I'm just going to like try and make this work when my account was small. And as soon as that, I was like, I'm not going to

apply for another job. I'm just going to make this work. And it did. I'm not really lucky. So yeah. That's awesome. I love hearing people's story of how like no one ever planned for it kind of thing. Yeah. Like you just, Oh yeah. Oh, well I guess we'll see. Yeah. And then you take the risk. You either quit your job or don't job search and go for it because it obviously is really, really hard to balance everything.

two things at once. Yeah. That's the thing. You can't really give your all into social media. And I know some people do, but most people don't put their all into media and have another job. That's like, I, um, controversial. I left school because having, I built a career for myself and having to do school, um,

and like not having not being able to go on work trips because I had an exam and not being able like all these opportunities when you're like putting your energy into something else it's hard yeah like it's so much work and like you gotta kind of like you gotta choose it and roll with it you can't really do other things it's more work than people think for sure it definitely is I definitely agree on that people are like well what are you doing today I'm like

If only I could tell you what I did, because there's so many things and you're never done. Like you can always do. Oh yeah. There's always, we will be, I'll be like this weekend, we're not working. And then Saturday night I'm like answering emails in bed. And I'm like, I wasn't supposed to do this. Like this was like, or like Friday night I'm like editing. And I'm like, no, like this was not supposed to happen. It was supposed to be off time. Like why are you editing? Yeah.

speaking of off time though i do feel like something that's helped me just personally because i am about i'm back in the sweet things right like i am balancing a full-time job it's like being a mom and having social media how

having, I take Sundays off completely. Like I don't go on any app. I don't go on any email. Like everybody knows you cannot reach me on a Sunday. That is like my family day. And I feel like having that completely removed gets me so much energized and refocused for the week. So I don't burn out because I'm jam packed. I mean, seriously, I don't go to bed till 10 and I wake up at five every day. You know what I mean? So like setting that barrier and having that rest to unplug for me, I feel like that is helping this be sustainable. Yeah.

Taylor, we might need to start doing that. But see, like if I was a mom, I think I'd do that. Like if I had like a whole family, I guess we can have family. Yeah. Yeah. Family apartment day. Then I'd see more of a point in doing that. But like, I feel like we're still in like the, we need to hustle. Yeah. We're still like on our like way up. Like we can't just like chill yet.

Oh, yeah. Especially, like, having a kid and, like, not having a family. Like, you just go. Like, go for it. Thoroughly grind mode. And I feel like I'm in grind mode. I'm, like, before a baby, too. Like, I've got to work so hard because once a second one comes, I feel like I don't know how much I'm going to be able to do. I'm, like, working. I would, too. One thing I have done, though, is emails I won't answer on the weekends anymore. Like, I'll edit. I'll do whatever. But, like, I don't need to answer an email on a Sunday. Yeah.

I don't answer that on a weekend anymore. That's one thing I just want to do because the company is not even working. They're not going to answer you anyways. So like, I don't need to answer an email anymore. So we just like went deep into like work stuff. I was going to take it back to like the gym. When you first started, was there any like toxic or stupid stuff that you like fell into? Like, did you do any of like the dumb workouts and the diets and like the stupid stuff?

I think everybody's going to hate my answer. And I I'm probably not relatable on this. I'm just being 100. I really did not care what I looked like. I,

this is gonna come up like so wrong but like I was never caring what I looked like until like 2018 I wanted to like see muscle but I was never trying to like be skinny I don't know I like I don't know if like my mom is just an angel and never talked about bodies or if like the people I hung out with we were always trying to like get bigger butts and stuff but like

Getting smaller has never been on my agenda. I don't know how, but I know that that's a struggle for so many. I have always been a bro girl. So I've always wanted to be like the tough, the strong girl. Like I'll beat you up. I'll punch you in the face. I don't care. Like that's always been my personality. So when I started going, I did count macros. I don't feel like that was as...

I feel like I probably didn't know what I was doing as much when I first started counting macros. So maybe that a little bit, but I don't, I don't know how I got out of the, I'm so impressed. No, I will definitely say it probably has to do with like your household, your mom, like cooking and stuff because, um,

I don't want to throw shade at my family at all. Like by no means, that's not what I'm trying to do, but it's just like when you're younger and you're trying to like develop a good like lifestyle for yourself and you're surrounding yourself with like, you know, family that eats right, cooks for you, like knows, like you said, like the foods that you should be eating that helps

so much but it's weird because I never because I know you mentioned like your mom didn't talk about like body stuff like my family didn't either I think it might have been maybe it was dance for me like I did dance for a long time so like you're kind of in a sports bra and shorts with a bunch of yeah every single day so that's kind of like but I was always I think it was a lot of the time too I was very skinny so people would always comment on my

Oh yeah. Yeah, I was. So I don't know if I felt like I like could be skinnier and needed to. Yes. I will. And it's,

Like I was skinny. I was small. Like I stood out as being the one that was very skinny. So it was almost scary to like gain weight. Cause I was like, well, I'm not like skinny anymore. Like I'm not like, like the little big. And you felt like from a young age that you were praised for being skinny because that's like all people would do. They'd like comment on that. So you're like, okay, like, am I getting praised? Like this is actually a good thing. This is part of my identity. So like, yeah. Yeah.

That totally makes sense. Yeah, for sure. Like literally everyone would be like, oh my God, like in high school, like a like skinny legend, like skinny queen or like in dance, like if we were like,

like I always tried on the costumes as like an example because that was like yeah like and it was very much part of like my identity I felt like yeah which now looking back and I'm like is this a therapy session did I just realize the did I just realize like the uh like what caused my like trauma about body image I think so maybe I think that's what it was but that's really impressive that you never that you never dealt with that that's that is very rare

But it's like everyone has their own different like reason for why. Well, and struggles too. Like just because I don't struggle with body image doesn't mean I don't struggle with other, you know, things in my life. Like everybody kind of has their, everybody has their issues. Yes, of course. How was, I saw your recent post about like what you posted today. I actually read the caption. I really liked it. I'm just going to pull it back up. What do you say about like not being like, feeling like you're not like,

like wanted welcome yeah in the gym i read that i was like oh yeah i know i i feel like that's something a lot of people can relate to because starting like a fitness journey is so scary especially if you're like looking up to other people in your gym or looking up to people online it's like oh these people have been doing it forever you know you can feel like you don't belong

a lot or that you shouldn't be doing this or that you don't have what it takes like i even tried to do like a mini like bulk and strength thing and i talked about this on my youtube channel and i was like i'm gonna go for it like i'm totally terrified like this is the first time i've ever like admitted that i'm trying

for certain goals. And then, you know, if you feel like you're going to fail, you feel like a failure, you know? So I'm like, I don't want to admit something and then not be able to do it. So I totally understand that. Like we are our own worst enemies in that of not believing in ourselves all the time. So, yeah, I mean, I was told to get out of the gym when I was pregnant. I was yelled at by this old guy. You guys, he would eye me every day in the gym. I was, I don't know, like five months pregnant.

six months pregnant. So like, I definitely had a belly, but he would eye me every time. Every time I walked by, he'd side eye me and he would just like grunt and go every time by me. And this was like for multiple weeks. And it was like very stressful. Finally, he said something. Cause I was like making eye contact with him and

And he was like, you just need to leave. He's like, you don't belong here. He's like, go home. I'm like, I've cleared this with my doctor, sir. Excuse me. He's like, you're going to get birth on this floor. That's so disgusting. And I was like, I was like, sir, do you know how hard it is to labor? Like to actually give birth, you know, that women do that for hours. I was like this man, he was crazy. Oh, it was, it was so uncomfortable and terrifying.

And I just felt like so out of place and uncomfortable. I've said that like 20 times, but really like, it just makes me want to cry in a hole. Yeah. And you're, you're already a little bit uncomfortable in your body when you're pregnant, you're literally growing a human, you know, all of my definition that I'd worked for had gone, which I was fine with. Like we wanted a baby. Like that was our priority to have a kid.

So it was worth everything, but you know, you're still a little bit on edge and you know, you're, you look kind of funny pregnant. I mean, you don't, but.

You know what I mean? Working very hard, you know, for your, your body, you know, and then like all of a sudden everything just really changes quickly, like in terms of physique. So like, I get that. I'm not going to lie. I'm like, I'm not even close to being in that stage of life. I'm a little bit scared of it. No. Yeah. No. And you know, that's why I'm kind of glad I did it.

Because now I can like tell people that it doesn't have to be scary. It doesn't have to be a big ordeal because I was like, what's going to happen. I think everybody who gets pregnant is like, what's going to happen to my body. What's going to happen to my health. What's going to happen to my life. Cause people are like your life ends when you're a mom, your body's ruined. You'll never be the same. I mean, you really aren't ever the same, but that's not a bad thing. Like people make it out to be such a negative thing.

things so I'm like dude I'm here to tell you that your life does not end yeah you know I think that's such a good resource for someone yeah no I really love that I'm really happy we like got to talk about that different aspect because like I said you're the first one that's come on there and had that and like I feel like a lot of the advice that you have given

not many of the other guests we've had have been able to give that type of advice or it's definitely a good like different perspective to see you know it's funny didn't you get a dm like yesterday i'm like do you have a resource for like older girls like me oh yeah i got a dm someone was like someone was in their 30s or something and they were like do you have like good followers for someone who's in their 30s and like me being like the silly person i am i'm like me like why am i not good enough like whatever like it's funny

have like that little bit of an older audience or even the older part of our demographic that could be like 25 like yeah maybe like getting into the stage of life where they're like getting married like gonna have a kid in like a few years and they're probably scared and nervous like I know like I just said like I'm literally only 20 I'm not looking to have a kid but like it makes me nervous to be like but what about like my like gains is there anything that you like did differently I mean obviously besides the taking the the like

being realistic with your goals as far as like physical exercise and eating is there anything you did differently after you had a kid or no did you just like go after i had a kid or like while i was pregnant i guess both whatever you want so yeah pregnancy i only worked out three days a week

But I did the same exercises and I talked to my doctor. Of course, everybody talked to your doctor before you do anything. You know, it's personal for everybody. But my doctor told me she was like, you have been lifting weights and doing these exercises for so long. It is worse for your body to just stop it while you're pregnant. She was like, movement is one of the best things you can do. Your body is used to the workouts you're doing. She's like, don't try to hit any new PRs.

but you can keep up with the same movements and exercises you've been doing, which totally makes sense. Right? Like my body has been doing these workouts for years. So I was so happy when I heard that, because I was like, do I need to just like stop exercising? Do I need to go on my bedrest? I even like asked that. She's like, no, she like laughed at me. She's like, you do not need to go on bedrest. She's like, what are you talking about? I was like, okay. Yeah.

I didn't know. I know nothing about it. Yeah, I knew nothing. So I didn't really do anything different for pregnancy or postpartum with exercising. I just limited my workouts that I did. Actually, I will say for postpartum, it was a lot more basics. So your core is completely like jello. Your belly, I mean, there's nothing in there. I don't know if you guys have seen like Harry Potter. Have you guys seen Harry Potter? No.

No. Oh my gosh. Okay. Well, there's this scene. I have to finish the analogy because I'm in on it. Okay. When he loses the bone in his arm, it like folds completely in half. Like there's no bone, there's no structure. That's how you feel postpartum. It is complete jello. Like, it's just like, I don't know how to explain it except like pretend you have nothing in your

to hold you up. Like, it just feels really weird. So I did a lot of workouts trying to rebuild and like restore your core muscles. So yeah, just lots of basic. We're going to have kids at the same time so we can like help each other out. Yes. Okay. Yeah.

yeah we're going through our first official like together right now so it's like funny because we haven't had accountability for that no because we're like okay we're gonna bulk and like gain a bit of weight like one of us can't be like um fit as ever and the other one feel like oh no so we have to because one of us is gonna be like i feel puffy and the other one's gonna be like i'm so skinny did my cardio

yeah so that way we can like have a happy apartment yeah and or be sad together no yeah yes I love that yeah we get to eat a lot

all right damn we covered so much we did that was like it was just a different i like we like having guests that are like so different different than us first guest was a our bodybuilder friend and then it's like yeah like a mom and then we have we've had we've had jordan we've had the boys jordan we had the boys at ron patty yeah no we definitely do need to have more guests this is you were probably like our fourth fifth i guess you were only our second

Oh, wow. Yeah. Wow. Wow. I'm honored. Second girl. We gravitate towards dudes on the podcast. Yeah, we do. I don't know why.

whatever it's so fun gym bros are so fun to have they are they are yeah they'll say what's on their mind they don't oh yeah they don't care there's no censoring of those podcasts when they're on yeah yeah i love it they're always trying to get bigger i love it versus like girls are always like trying to get smaller it's like no let's let's have some fun yeah guys are fun gym bros are the best

yeah and just do it and girls are like well like do what you want like love your body and guys are like no you're lazy go to the gym like yeah you're lazy get up and go to the gym like eat your protein and let's go like they have no yeah well where can everyone find you on everything what's like your handle on instagram youtube yeah

what's it all it's just my name Brittany Lupton I think on Instagram it's underscore Brittany Lupton but it's Brittany Lupton on Instagram TikTok YouTube a link to your Instagram in the description box of this podcast so you guys can go there and then we always do

um what is it where they comment on her oh yes so the day of the podcast going live if you if you're okay with this post an instagram that day and everyone from the podcast is going to go over to your your instagram and say that they came from the podcast

Yes, we'll put like, oh, fun. That's cool. Our story and let them know that that's the picture. Yeah, I'll say that they came from the podcast. Yeah. Yeah. So they'll do that if you post or even if you don't post on Friday, whatever your last picture is. We'll just. Yeah, we'll just be prepared. It's coming up this Friday. Yeah. Now we're quick. Let's go. Yes. We don't edit. We like it because we do life updates at the very beginning. Yeah.

don't edit i love that it's great very wrong nope that's very wrong like when we have guests like they've been we had one real life guest but like they're over zoom so like that whole like hey are you in like can you hear me it's in yeah they get they always struggled with the connection at first but they can they can hear it all we like because all of our other content like youtube is so edited and your instagram pictures like you pick the best one so we like this to be the one that we just like ramble and throw it up

I think that's cool. I like it better like that. Me too. That's how I like podcast. Me too. It's like, no one can tell us what to say or whatever. Yeah. My lips are so dry. All right, my friend. Well, we'll let you get back to your son. Have an amazing dinner. I'm sure you're probably having dinner with them. Yes. Thank you so much for coming on. It was so nice to talk to you for the first time. I know. Yes. It was so good to meet you too and chat and catch up, Sam. Yeah. Yes. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye.

See you on Friday.
