Graduation: Finishing school and getting a diploma. "My sisterโs graduation is next week."
Diploma: A certificate you get when you finish school.
"He received his diploma after four years of study."
Ceremony: A special event to celebrate something.
"The graduation ceremony will start at 10 AM."
Other common types of ceremonies: wedding and funeral
Graduate: A person who has finished school.
"She is a college graduate." She graduated from college.โ
The verb is pronounced just a little differently.
Cap: A hat worn during graduation.
"Everyone wore a black cap at the ceremony."
Gown: A long robe worn during graduation.
