"Set the table" means to arrange the plates, utensils, glasses, and napkins on the dining table before a meal. It's what you do to get everything ready for eating, like putting plates in their places and getting everything in order for dinner or lunch.
"Thaw out" means to make something frozen become warm and soft again. For example, when you take food from the freezer and leave it at room temperature or use heat to make it not frozen anymore, you're thawing it out. It's like making ice turn back into water or making frozen food ready to cook or eat.
"Mix in" means to combine different things together, like stirring ingredients in a recipe. It's like making sure everything is mixed well so that they are all together nicely.
