Born in North Carolina, Quanera signed her Nike Contract out of an Historical Black College. Hayes faces many challenges while trying to be one of the best athletes in the world. She had her son just two years before the Olympic Trials, and booked her ticket to Tokyo as the top 400m sprinter. Not getting the place she wanted, she also faces some other very upsetting news.
