马来西亚六州选举)在上个星期六落幕。选举结果如分析人士所料 - 朝野政治联盟各主导三个州属。由安华领导的希望联盟)和国民阵线)保住了槟城、雪兰莪和森美兰州政权。在野的国民联盟)在吉打、吉兰丹和登嘉楼几乎横扫所有州议席。

州议选举原本只是地方性的选举，但是舆论的氛围和在野党的操作使到这次的州选成了对安华)政府的一次公投。如果执政联盟表现得太糟糕，马来西亚有可能再经历一次变天。

如今选举结果已大局底定，安华过关了吗？国盟的势力进一步增强，势力版图扩张，是否代表马来西亚种族分化更为严重？六州选举的结果对马来西亚下来的发展又会产生什么影响？

Malaysia’s state polls have ended in a “3-3” status quo outcome between Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional (PH-BN) ruling coalition and the opposition alliance, Perikatan Nasional (PN).

The election in 6 of Malaysia’s 13 states was widely viewed as a referendum on Anwar’s administration after the tightly contested general election in November that ended with the country’s first ever hung Parliament.

Led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the PH-BN coalition retained Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Penang while PN held on to Kelantan, Kedah and Terengganu. The election appears to have kept things at status quo, but changes in seat composition for the state assemblies tells a different story.
