Deep within the bowels of the Old Town of the city of Edinburgh lie the underground vaults. It's one of the UK's most notoriously haunted locations, with thousands of ghostly experiences documented every year. Having been used as a subterranean slum in the late 1700s, the environment bred the worst of the human condition including robbery, rape and murder.
