当形容词用的时候，可以理解成：certain and without any doubt
“对某件事情很笃定、很确定，没有任何怀疑的”；
eg: Are you positive (that) you saw me close the door?

B: "Positive."

eg: I can't be positive about what time it happened.
我不能确定这件事情到底是什么时间发生的。
eg: She was positive that he had been there.
她很确定他去过那里。
eg: Are you positive that there's been no mistake?
