Kathy started her career in publishing and then transitioned over to Kurzweil Computer Products working on reading machine for the blind. Kathy then moved to Interleaf working on publishing products, then to QA and Project Management. Kathy then moved to Rational Software and in 2003 Rational was bought by IBM.
