Theseus is an indie band from Taiwan, with music spanning pop and folk, aiming to express the unease of post-90s teenagers in Taipei through bilingual lyrics in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese.
Named after The Ship of Theseus paradox, Theseus is an up-and-coming band with a philosophical music style. The lyrics convey the restlessness, anxiety and drowning of the youth. Theseus offers a glimmer of hope and excitement in the company of warm layers of guitar and piano melodies, guiding the audience on a voyage into the unknown.
Among the generation marked by loss and defeatism, Theseus serves as the beacon of “companionship” and “warmth” for the youth, becoming the next big thing in Taiwan’s indie music scene.
來自台灣的獨立樂團，音樂風格橫跨流行與民謠，透過中文與台語雙語歌詞，表達90後青少年在台北的焦慮與不安。
樂團以「忒修斯之船」的悖論命名，創作風格充滿哲學意味。他們的歌詞傳遞出年輕人內心的躁動、焦慮與掙扎；在吉他與鋼琴的溫暖旋律中，忒修斯帶來一絲希望與激動，引領聽眾踏上未知的旅程，為台灣獨立音樂圈中備受矚目的新星。
