Waxwork 2: Lost in Time (1992)

Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and William Thrasher discuss Waxwork 2: Lost in Time. A direct-to-video sequel to the original, this one has Mark (Zach Galligan) and Sarah (Monika Schnarre) venturing to alternate dimensions to battle the forces in evil. Despite the different setup, the story finds our duo venturing through different deadly film homages not unlike the original.

Waxwork 2: Lost in Time is more effective at aping the genres it admires than the original (Aliens, The Haunting), but feels less fun since much of the plot is force fed to the viewer rather late in the motion picture. The numerous cameos are surprising and often short (Drew Barrymore and David Carradine). 

Thrasher likes the remake of Murder on the Orient Express starring and directed by Kenneth Branagh. Both of them enjoyed Captain Marvel, although Mat was confused the flashbacks in the beginning. Thrasher checked out The Lost Empire, a glorious campy mess.
