Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and William Thrasher discuss Transformers, the live-action smash hit directed by Michael Bay based on the popular 1980s animated series and toy line. A teenage boy (Shia LaBeouf) gets his first car, but discovers it's a Transformer named Bumblebee. The evil Decepticon Megatron (Hugo Weaving) has been resurrected and is competing with heroic Autobot Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) for the alien AllSpark cube. Who will reign supreme?
Thrasher feels Boss Baby is fine, if gentle, animated entertainment. Mat has been caught up archiving his DVD and Blu-ray collection into a home media server with Plex. He also found the Despicable Me spin-off Minions to be a bit of a bore after the enjoyable prehistoric prelude to the main story.
