Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and William T. Thrasher talk about the first episode of Star Wars: Droids. Having been jettisoned by their prior master, C-3PO and R2-D2 explore the arid wastelands of Ingo. They team up with starship jockeys Jord Dust and Thall Joben to investigate the secret base of up and coming crime lord Tig Fromm.
This initial episode struggles a bit to introduce a host of new characters, a new planet, and a new story all in one show. Still, there are promising glimpses on the horizon. Anthony Daniels really gets to ham it up as C-3PO negotiates with deadly droids. The massive roster of sound effects from the Star Wars library don't hurt things either.
