Director James Bobin (Flight of the Conchords) brings new life to the Muppets in the blandly titled The Muppets from 2011. Both a soft reboot a kind of a sequel to The Muppet Movie, The Muppets succeeds in spades. Songs are often moving ("Pictures in My Head") and funny ("Life's a Happy Song"). The only Muppets feature to win an Academy Award (Best Original Song for "Man or Muppet"), The Muppets is one of the best of the series.
