One of many direct-to-video sequels that are basically loose remake of the original The Crow, The Crow: City of Angels works as well as a bad photocopy. Again, the bad guys are rather interesting with Richard Brooks, Thuy Trang, Iggy Pop, Thomas Jane, and Vincent Castellanos bringing some flair to their cardboard roles. Everything is covered in a smoky haze that's never as evocative as Alex Proyas' work in the original. Uninspired at best.
