Rian Johnson writes and directs this controversial installment of the Skywalker Saga. There is a lot of plot at the expense of character development. At times, the screenplay is a bit too cute and smarmy. Still, we get a solid starfighter sequence at the beginning, a great Yoda scene, and few compelling plot twists.
