Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi, Thrasher, and UK fan of the show Stephen Jones discuss Men in Black 3.
Agent J (Will Smith) has to travel back in time to 1969 to prevent Boris the Animal (Jemaine Clement) from assassinating a young Agent K (Josh Brolin).
Etan Coen's smart screenplay for Men in Black 3 elevates the material for a movie that's better than you might expect. Not unlike Austin Powers: Goldmember, groovy 1960s music and daddy issues power the plot. Michael Stuhlbarg is especially good as the time-travel expert Griffin; his performance reminds one of a younger Robin Williams. Men in Black 3 is what Men in Black 2 should have been: a heartwarming story that builds on character moments.
