A follow-up to the long-running TV show, Highlander: Endgame has a smaller scope than the sequels up to this point. Locales are often drab, although there are some fun martial arts sequences and Bruce Payne lays on the requisite ham as the villain. There is a nice return to some of the romance of the first movie, but Highlander: Endgame does a poor job explaining how the rich history of the TV show ties into everything.
