Fresh off a discussion of the first story arc of Star Wars: Droids, hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and William T. Thrasher take a break and discuss Evil Plans, an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars focusing on R2-D2 and C-3PO.
In order to tilt Senator Aang's vote on the Military Support Committee to favor the Republic, Senator Amidala requires fresh Jogan fruit for a cake. R2-D2 and C-3PO are up to the task. However, bounty hunter Cad Bane has other plans for the plucky droids.
A slight episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Evil Plans manages to have scenes of C-3PO torture juxtaposed against R2-D2 getting a deep clean at a massage parlor from sexy robot vixens. The jarring tone shifts wrap up a bit too easy as an exposition heavy meeting between Cad Bane and the Hutt gangster families end this show on a bit of a sour note.
