Although the LaserDisc format from the 1980s and 1990s had special features for movies like commentary tracks, movie trailers, and documentaries, it was really the DVD format from the late 1990s that made such goodies go into the mainstream. As avid collectors of physical media for film, the hosts rave about some of the great, no so great, and just plain odd special features available on DVD over the years.
