Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and William Thrasher discuss the original Death Wish from 1974. After his wife is murdered and his daughter is raped, Paul Kersey (Charles Bronson) starts killing random hoodlums with his brand of vigilante justice.

A disturbing film with a decent script, Death Wish takes its time before Paul Kersey kills his first thug. Even though the dialogue lacks subtlety, there is some attempt made at setting up the moral conflicts between cops, citizens, and crime victims. Herbie Hancock's jazz score keeps things on edge throughout.

Thrasher thinks the adult cartoon feature Dirty Duck has enough weird moments to make it worth a watch. Mat enjoys the deep dive of the documentary Leviathan: The Story of Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser 2, although it's a shame it does not go into the other sequels.
