Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and William Thrasher discuss Cube 2: Hypercube. A new group of men and women are together in a brand new fiendish cube that bends physics, time, and space itself. When one of them sees a future version of a companion killing people, suspicions are raised even further. Can anyone survive the dangers of the Hypercube?

Going for a stark white high contrast lighting, this movie somehow looks cheaper than the thrifty original. Poor CG is slathered everywhere and attempts at worldbuilding towards the end of the movie are all too forced. If the first movie is a three-dimensional puzzle cube, this one is more like a flat square sticker that melts in the rain.

Mat watched the Uwe Boll video game movie Alone in the Dark. It has a fun performance by Stephen Dorff and heaps of mispronounciations from Tara Reid.

Thrasher fired up Mad Max: Fury Road and loved the simplicity of the plot, the intensity of the action, and its focus on practical over CG special effects.
