Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and William Thrasher discuss Caddyshack 2. New slobs face against new snobs including such comedy veterans as Jackie Mason and Jonathan Silverman.
Caddyshack 2 was originally written as a lead vehicle for Rodney Dangerfield reprising his role as Al Czervik, but he turned it down because of the lame screenplay by Harold Ramis and PJ Torokvei. This covers a lot of the same beats of the original with a lighter PG touch. Dan Aykroyd and Randy Quaid aren't bad in their supporting stints, but the whole affair feels tired at best. Chevy Chase only remind one how much better he was in the original film; here, he's just reciting one liners.
