After Batman reinvigorated the cinematic coffers of comic book flicks, Tim Burton was allowed to do whatever he wanted for Batman Returns. The story gets long in the tooth with too many villains and is more interesting in the villains than the heroes. Danny Elfman succeeds with another rousing score. If you hate Tim Burton, you're not going to like this one.
