Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and William Thrasher discuss Ace Ventura Jr: Pet Detective. A direct-to-video sequel from 2009, this one looks at Ace Ventura's son (Josh Flitter) trying to solve a rash of animal kidnappings at his school. There's a lot of problems with this movie, chief of which is that the main character doesn't embrace his Ventura lineage until near the end of the movie. Any edge Ace Ventura had in the original has been so whittled down by this point that this might have well been about a different character. You get an amusing support turn from Cullen Douglas as Dr. Sickinger, but that's about it.
Thrasher enjoyed Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Mat likes The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale for its highlight reels of absurd reality TV from around the world.
