Leaders must clearly express a strategic plan for others to follow.
Do you have a vision for yourself, for your team, for your goals?? It’s needed that a leader have a vision. It is required that a leader have goals. But while a powerfully compelling vision and a set of SMART goals will get a leader moving in the direction of result, a solid strategic plan is required for others to participate. How clearly have you laid out the plan to achieve the goals? How well do team members and those contributors outside your team understand their role? Have you articulated the role, activities and expectations for each individual who will bring this vision to life? This may not yet be a white board planning session or video conference with every participant - IT MUST BE FIRST A CONVERSATION IN YOUR MIND. If you have not thought it through and meditated on the execution of the dream or vision - it is still not more than a wish. GET BUSY THINKING LEADER!
