Shownotes Transcript

Hey, Justin.

and i'm jina welcome to the same brain podcast. We are here, not alive, but we're here. We are alive, though barely, but we're here. Roll that into.

At the end, that's IT, that's the end. So a lot is going on right now. Yeah, you may notice we've got a set up. This is if you're watching the video, if you're watching if you're not watching the video, that's fine.

Just just Carry on if you're driving, you can watch when you we have three, four cameras right now yeah but there are actually not cameras, their iphones. This whole episode is being shot using final cut camera for ipad and for iphone. Have you seen this set up happen yet?

Just on there like demonstration, you're a alive .

democrates here. So we have the ipad in front of us, which has four feds on IT, and that is from each of these cameras. And what's happening is all of these are being recorded directly into the ipad, is going to transfer all of the footage, it's gonna make entire final cut project out of this with all of the angles.

And then we think the audio, and you just get to editing, what are what can you control the frame rate? Yes, is that third lovely? I know you the frame rate, you can adjust all sort of things.

It's so cool, pretty cool. This is nice. I mean, this is a lot of angles. And then assuming, like IT does IT just go into like multiple amps, you can like make one angle or have a four IT .

makes IT automatically into multiopolis. That then after that, you can then send this project to actual final cut if you want to edit on like the best top anything, once you go mac, you can back, like you can go back to the ipad.

I see, oh o yet.

yet that they have cable hidden this sorry.

I make a .

little IT IT is heavy. I know we don't have my so anyway, I just little let you just know what our set up is. And a the whole motivation for this is because we actually using the brand new m for mac mini tiny IT is so tiny.

But here's the problem. We needed to a much longer USB cable. Yeah, well, because we move the death closer. You can kind of see here in the the wide, we had to move the best closer. The cable was running all the .

way across the room was not accessible. Path.

especially for geno.

who we're walking now we're .

looking get to IT. She's walking. We've got podcast topics here on the remarkable this is the new color. Have you seen IT the remarkable people?

Pro, i've just my little eyes we're looking at for the first time and it's very nice. I really like the texture of like how IT looks.

IT looks like paper, like paper when you're writing on IT, especially when you switch to the colors and you can do like the highlighter.

It's is just like what I tell me about IT. Would you want to know everything is like e what are we were .

be rocking with yeah it's basically like a no book but all in one. And with the the remarkable marker you can just write like this feels like you're writing. And what I like about IT also is this this card video is not sponsored.

but they have what's beeping? Oh no. Did you can line one one? No.

my glucose is low. I think i've got disconnected for my sensor alive. Anyway, I ve been loving this so much and it's been really fun. Um as I was saying, they have sponsored my youtube videos, but this this is not this is not .

a sponsor segment. I was watch and I was really cool. I like how I like it's like animated. I feel you I I am, I I am and I ve been looking at IT.

Well, we have all over podcast topics years. The first thing first, which I about the new m four max, yes, that's M A C S, not M A X, because there is also an m4 max。 I have not ordered the new macbook. I was going to say you probably don't need.

You have A M three yeah which I yeah I bought that which felt like I was not last month, but that was last year and you completely back out yeah that was already like close to eight thousand dollars after tax and like apple care. And let's be real. We've barely been working this year. So my my empire is still good hands. But now they're saying there's apple intelligence.

Is this only with the m four mack box?

No, you you've apple intelligence.

I haven't update all of my review devices, and i'm about update on my main computer. But by the time I update on my main laptop, i'm probably gna get the new one I had to get anyone.

Well, your identity IT .

is truly is. I wish that I identified with something that was less expensive, but yeah, we're here. It's um yes, I still have the m one. Well, maybe actually X I think I I after them one, the m two.

they have well, when I was going through my foot and I couldn't like my foot recovery and I couldn't walk, I had one on downstairs. I was using m one downstairs, and then my other macbook upstairs. Because I was really hard, I couldn't Carry things. It's still great.

Then one was great.

I just had to. So I was, I, it's so much Better having .

that smaller computer. Even during this review, i've been doing the review on the sixteen years and I .

missed the fourteen so much. It's teen. I was .

on IT. I was like, oh, this is what I messed. That is Green .

really is fine if I don't have to Carry IT around pain. sorry.

So we have four, three chips. We have the m for the m pro, the m4 max, and we have the new imac, the new mac mini and the mac pros of the .

biggest change though .

is the mac mini.

It's actually really tiny, is what people are complaining about. The power button underneath the IT is on the bottom. Who turns your computer off once last time you turned your computer off? Like when my power goes off because I have to take my I .

have too many things connected. And I just .

sometimes I sometimes I research when air dropped as the work I do do. But that's restarting. You're not shutting. You're not touching the button.

true. The only reason that I have for that is like I feel like a lot of people used mac mines in like a server farm. So if I mean, if they have them like ract IT could be harder to get to.

Can't you just turn that off from the settings? Like go to shut down? Yeah but then .

you got to turn back on.

what do you think that just yeah clearly I am not want to turn off my devices unless they force themselves.

I don't. I mean, I use the studio, which actually can see the studio over there. Um that's A B F. boy. I feel like they're probably going to be upon that was like.

is that on top under the mario brows?

That's the studio. That's not the max many. Anyway, if you have to see the reviews I ve been working on those, they can go check this out.

I ve been really enjoying IT like I get thinking like, oh, I don't, I don't need, I don't I don't need IT, I don't need the point. But still it's like just when you think, like how can this get any faster, fast? IT gets faster.

strong. I'm shock. Anyway.

moving on. Where's my phone? You know, I think you throw .

something on the ground.

Yeah, I like, where is my phone out? Hold on a second.

It's probably under. But oh, you might be in your pocket that's in a hole other room. So yeah, not getting, if anything hears that.

he may bring IT to me. You are keep doing that. We don't need that. Yeah, we do. For why? Because I need to talk our next topic actually, I think our next topic, we should talk about your injury because we need to just address IT.

Okay, where do we leave off the last podcast we were in?

We didn't get your surgery yet. Oh no, we are in condo. We were gentle surgery.

Holy moly. Okay, so we we that we keep I don't think, I don't think the phone is gonna come due. Maybe think let's do a fast recap.

May of this year, may first, we went hiking with our systems. An, I turned my ankle coming down the mountain. I was like that, heard a loud pop was like, didn't sound good.

Whatever took, I walked IT off. Continue to live my life for a couple weeks, eight weeks, go by and like, you know, a saw getting Better. Maybe you get an extra.

I go to get an extra and they're like, I don't know there's a bony projection, bony projection they saw bony projection they go, but it's probably from a past injury. And as the words from this injury and like I don't know anyway, more weeks goods ye and like is still hurt. Silicon, go get an mi of your foot in your ankle.

We did talk about the MRI because that's when I, like, I was at the hospital. So that was a cybernetic one. Yeah, took up from there. So get the M. R. I. Seventy five minutes in the two that was very cold um you were in the five minutes just for your ankle foot and ago so they did two. I did seventy five minutes.

I did. I did full body in an hour seventy .

five minutes because one was forty five and one was thirty about what's the heck and yeah, so very cold and lonely and just like staring. And then I was actually really hard to stay still over that long. I can't do a good job at that. See I too much.

I don't. You're like putting your microphone over here.

So yeah i'm .

rest in my arms. It's o OK get the mr.

Ye though like that there's a fracture and like partial chair of the leg MIT doesn't matter because the fracture the bottom of my fibula that broke off was attached to two legumes so they're like it's only been twelve weeks at this point like it's not going to heal itself. Saw northeaster surgeon, he's like could you could try to wear the boot but like it's it's not going to work.

So I was like, let me think about IT so I go couple of weeks by and then I like, you know, what I call my surgeon back of them. Like knowledge, just do IT. So then finally, september for IT, I get the surgery.

They remove a pretty decent sized bone chunk, like good a month than two month. But I forgot, been like nine weeks. They removed like this big of a bone chunk, little lesson and inch.

And they reattached two ligament. So the surgery, he goes fine. IT was like a two, our procedure. Then I was like, okay, now I just got a weight.

I couldn't put any weight on my foot, on my leg, so I couldn't walk for five to six weeks. So I just kind of SAT around um during week five is when I noticed there was a burning from my ankle and. I noticed there was an infection and I like, that's cool so I go to the well, actually nobody was replying to me and my surgery.

I like message the portal and okay, I think an infection, nobody applies them like i'm going to get urgent characters. I need antibiotics immediately. So I get on biotics.

They put me in two of them. We go by. I go to see my surgeon.

He's like, okay, the easy. And I biotics start working and i'm like, cool, 酷。 So put me on, I say on on one and put on another one.

And now is where we're going to hawaii for the qualcomm snapdragon summit. It's our favorite event in the year, favorite event. Look forward to every year.

So at this point, i'm like wild. We going to have in a biotics. We go to sleep, I wake up the next day.

Full body rh, full body rh, i'm burning up and like sometimes is wrong. Just have to assume i'm having a reaction to one of the antibiotics. So you know, we go through that.

I'm like, am I dying? I don't know. When do I go to the hospital? Did this infection spread to my blood? Or this like what's up? Because my limp hoos were like purchasing out of my body.

So a lot of unknowns as well. I'll just see what happens. Um fast forward.

Finally, last week was like, okay, week eight, I think the infection is gone. I saw my surgeon. He's like, it's looking good.

The problem is the stitches aren't dissolving that are like in the deep player, like the underneath, like not the surface, like underneath where they they like stitchings to do, like pushing their way out. So they have been trying that. Well, how got infected because they kept opening up. So they're like my body is rejecting the stitches. So if they're still trying to come out like nine weeks later, still.

yes, it's not great. I've seen just to go through some stuff, and I would say if I was her, I would have been complaining a whole lot more. You would not have seen me in public. I would have been super crankie.

Why didn't go out much until just six weeks went by? You used to do I would.

Well, i'm not good with like injuries or pain.

The infection was the most pain i've ever felt my entire life, more than the break, more than the next day of surgery. Oh.

you're get the beef. My local signal i've lost IT.

H no how we know if you bringing my um yeah so the infection was literally one of the most painful things i've ever felt my entire life. I couldn't look. My entire leg was spring.

But thankfully I didn't spread my bloodstream because I had to be careful of that because if I D spreads to your bloodstream, then you can get sep. This in the survival rates of sep is very low. So yes, not great. And yes, so there was a lot of times I probably shouldn't emergency room. And was the week .

and why he looked. So I was like asking people like locals and like, okay and was a weekend. I was like, if my sisters unwell, word do I take? Do I take her to the the main ital to be at .

the hospital?

And woo o the thing is like the oring .

I obviously didn't travel with to get their momeby.

So my hold on positive story for second or so. The thing about .

the ordering is that measures you know body temperature, heart rate, resting heart rate and just like your overall like wellness of your body. So during I pretty sure this was like the final stage of the infection, which is also when I was having the reaction. So my body was like, fight, literally fighting for its life.

And the one day I took like five bencher spread out through the whole day to fight like the reaction. And like that makes you drowsy. And like, I still couldn't sleep. I stayed in bed the first day in hawaii in bed, and my orring stress was off the charts. So imagine laying in bed, not moving, but your or stress is still little.

I was off the chart. IT was so well. I thought I was like, I ve never seen anything like that. Like there wasn't IT was .

not able to go high enough. No, I couldn't go any higher and I wasn't doing so. It's like activity bottom of stress completely at the top. So like, okay, that's sunk.

And then IT kept telling me, like the next six days, that my body temperatures elevated, because like my body was like fighting so many things, and IT was just crazy. And then I also couldn't be in the sun. So imagine in hawaii can call in the sun because of the doxy.

Cycling has like causes, like photos, sensitivity. So like was my body was on fire, I couldn't be in the sun, but I still had a nice time like that sound closer, it's get closer. R there.

IT is there. Thank you. So what that was great. I I heard a kick.

So anyway, the snapp jg and team, they were like, what do you need? I think i'm good, i'm good. Like we're fine.

And like I thought my biggest issue, he was going to be not being able to like walk much. So I went to the electric. So like I was zipped around. But then the infection was like a and the infection and the rush was like, I just to hold another level, but I can't do anything. The scooter died .

while we were going up the hill.

The first day going up the hill. Where were the group we're doing like demos .

and the scooter just died ops and then we have to push IT and like IT has a break that automatically keeps turning on. So i'm pushing this thing with the break on full force like this ways like five pounds .

is huge yeah it's a motorized like mobile ties scooter. Massive yeah. Then I just died and i'm like, I can't really help because the whole reason i'm in this is because I can't, you know, walk .

really is a .

wild time. I was like, basically everything that could go wrong keep going wrong. And i'm like, I just have to survive.

So we did an upcoming home early. And yeah, i'm Better. I know what a walk is like.

I seen her walk is so weird because I haven't seen her remove. And so, well, yeah, I didn't walk for six week.

Her leg was like half .

the eyes of other leg.

Yeah, I lost, I think, like two inches of, like the circumference of my leg. I was a muscle SHE showed him little stick. Yeah, it's been nice walking.

I just it's hard because my leg is really tired, because I, my hips and my knee is hurt. Do you haven't used IT into month? Yes, I can walk just not far.

You have physical therapy today. I did. It's good, like my fifth. There's six one.

Um well, mainly worrying there is .

anyone know have you yet.

jan, for I just bought .

IT and I arched IT, so shiny.

no scratches. I know who so I think I might I don't know. I just silver.

I went silver this time.

Interesting is your color because gold is my color, that gold is my favorite. But I went with silver because when we did the the color matching for like what looks good to your skin tone, I ended up being like plant. No.

i'm a silver girly chrome and silver yeah.

But you know, we've got a lot of confusing things. I was still going to go with gold, but I just mixed .

up a little but all looks good with your bit like the black ultra and then like the pattani um thank you. Forgot the word yeah. I need to check out the the new what what is what other new features .

I mean like a Better sensor but also my favorite IT is the inside doesn't have bump s anymore. That is so like I feel like I should have got a smaller size, smaller yeah had just because i'd like to wear my ring finger. But IT fits perfect on the pointer, which is where .

you're actually heritage.

But I like the flat and me know .

like yeah yeah if because the .

the the flat part goes up and this has like a little bump on IT but it's not the same yeah because .

like the samsung ring has a little bump yeah and I get losing IT but um yeah I know it's nice and I need to get into the oring like just in that data. And then finally, like when my first sleep was Normal after a week, I was like, my body is healing. It's so good and then like I was just like back to Normal, nothing red, nothing .

was data the day.

Yeah, I was incredible. Like I was I was like, I wasn't bent for fifteen hours. Look, what do you mean? My reading inss is like forty. I like, I have. I should be ready and it's like, now you're unwell okay.

I mean, technically you probably should have put IT into recovery, you know but I was kind .

of but like I was the thing as I wasn't sick yeah like I was fine. Well, I wasn't fine. I just wasn't sick, but I probably shut up.

Put in recovery mode at one point, I just stopped to telling me to not worry about stress because my body temperature was related. It's like, hey, we're not gone to worry about stress and only good. Do you ready? Max me at like nine hours a day anyway. Yeah, all in school .

is good stuff. It's like we can see our camera now I do. I do.

I hope IT all works out well. We will find out. Yeah, we won't. Okay, the next list, um the google s monitoring. So i've been trying to figure out, I don't not just feel like I just haven't felt well.

you know, how do I ever so .

I did do this thing. I went, prenez val. They have like a full body MRI scanner, which was so awesome actually you can use um have a link if you want to eight five hundred dollars off your scan.

I do I just seen i'll give up to post the links. I think you have to use the link directly. Um IT was such a craze experience, in fact, took you seventy five minutes just to do your ankle IT took an hour to do a full comprehension.

Can I like that was so this is what I ve been telling you about year. I know I haven't done IT. I did. I did get my results, but talk another video. In addition, glue cos motoring always been something that i've thought was we're in the same way we are same.

Cap same the same brain, so I don't have getting one and i've been monitoring the different foods that kind of like effect like like your Spikes. Although the last few weeks i've eaten super healthy like i've I don't think I ever eaten this healthy in my entire life. Yeah, and I absolutely hate.

I was so miserable for the first week, detoxing from like sugar and like excessive cards, like I I was like, I felt look depressed, like I was so correct. I IT was I was out of body experience. I didn't even know who I was.

So the monitoring, anyway, feel Better. Now, I feel so much Better OK IT took like, yeah, I took a while. I feel great.

Now that's good. yeah. So there's another APP called levels, which is a subscription service. And then you kind of like opt into their like a research program that they're doing. So I I mean the basically just giving them all my data, so it's probably not great. But either way, IT gets you access to the google s monitor because you can't really buy them off the shelf for most of them.

You do need to prescription yeah there is one that abbot just came out with that is a um you can buy yeah so I actually bought a up so i'm kind of testing out three different one. One one you need a prescription for the other one I bought. So i'm going to all slap that on you to see. And then I have an other one from levels coming just i'm kind of testing .

them a lot of interesting well. And then do you have to like track all your .

food so you do in levels? IT makes IT so easy. This is not sponsored, by the way um but just check IT out so was super cool. IT is a lot of work but it's superfast. So the day that we went to top golf I had like a chicken's ezor salad and some of those little proxy bites yeah like my blood sugar shot up so much more than like anything i'm thinking could have been because i've been doing like a lot of low carb.

the carbs. So I have a tons and then like .

the maybe even like the dressing interesting and those little press botes, they wrecked my body. So good. Oh, that looks like, okay, we had a big bike from my IT look so you can add like foods we had grow broccoli, diced. And then I did have some fruit. So that Spiked IT up a little.

getting crazy. Yeah, I know.

but it's cool because he gives you like calories and then that gives you a score kind of like at the end of the day, yeah, if you were able to keep your global .

scores super level. interesting. But I can always feel .

my blood dropping. I can do. I was having significant drops in middle the night.

yeah. And IT has like a little alarm. So what would like tell you when IT keeps dropping too low?

So I forever sleep.

I know the first night I was like, what does this sound? I like jumping up and like when we have my book, sugars low, and I didn't turn that one off. Yes, I ve been sleeping there. This longer were fine. I was dropping below seventy of the arms, so was .

not like russia .

finanz under five. You go, girl, snack. Now I wanted about, okay, but I have been monitoring IT throughout the day though, and like having snacks and just kind of like, but we've been both have a dealing with like global d sugar for so long.

You just know, like you can just feel that I yet dizen same so did I had and like, and then a week.

It's cool to now be able to match that up with the actual data and see what kind of helps you you .

still have in your ARM. Yeah, I guess slap .

on in there. Yeah, I A bit no. Oh, OK you competitive .

ed from the so when you .

go to put IT on just to profess this, there's absolute ropin at all like when you put this on. But when I looked at IT had like .

freaking big needles .

sticking out of that. I go all I have taxi, my sister, other sister, who's a farm assist, I go, is this going to hurt as SHE wasn't writing back? And like panicking.

like my arms clean. And to go like to I start .

sweating and like almost having, like a mini panic attack, just like thinking about putting this on my r now .

you just slapped and you're good.

I was so scary and I didn't hurt at all, and I was fine, but that I almost passed out because I was chess IT was such a whole ordeal.

But yeah, I know what. What is he doing? Yes.

I think I had IT on for, like, let's see how long I had around four.

five days, maybe longer. Because halloween you missed out on the halloween .

sugar bikes. Actually.

I put IT on on halloween.

but a horrible time start. Yeah, halloween. How did you have any any then? So i'm like, let's see how many days clean.

I like, I feel I am .

not IT sorry. I'm tired. This is a big weekend. This is a big weekend.

It's monday.

Now we're fine. So I would have been.

and I had my physical therapy today.

okay. So yeah, october twenty third is when I started my d talks of yeah of everything so we're good, good, good um alloweth was so fun.

makes me sad every year. Let is over.

I know I like I had so much fun and then I and then I put .

all my halloween en self away now my Christmas story up. I haven't put any .

my alloweth sofa away yet. So I made a little simple with that because I went to overboard. As always, this is excessive. So for halloween this year, since no one um like just it's hard to have tRicky readers come to your house. So we decided to take take a treat to them. So we ducked out the cyberhomes with a fog machine and some lights and about like seven hundred dollars were of the costco o Candy um and went to a neighborhood and just gave out Candy. And people were so excited.

I stayed at the house. He was making sure her, yeah, and he was making her very treaters came, they did come, and a lot of them came. Actually, when .

you were on.

I was dressed up as a shark, my shark winsey, because my wednesday Adams costume, the wig was to H E. IT looks so good. IT looked good. But I was like.

IT was crazy, like there were so many kids, like the amount of Kenny bars that we went through.

Oh, trashes here. Trash day. This is actually exciting. Seven hundred dollars cy box. No, I love that there's nothing more exciting than being .

an adult and trash day and there's more exciting than being a kid and rolling up somewhere. And very good eyes like IT was worth every penny of IT like smiles to like .

they're very excited. And a lot of them were very polite. And like, how many can we take? And I like what I mean if you have to ask. I mean to cause like you can take like I go on in some tiny ones. I like .

most were polite. I did have a few that came back for returns yeah till like, I don't like this. Can I have something else was like, yeah, that's fine.

I mean, it's fair. If you don't like the can do you might as well get what you want. But there was a lot of kids, so like they were that we should have had a return line. There were a lot I did .

have any butter .

fingers this year.

I know which is weird .

because they're so good. Last year we had um we did have a box that had butter finger or enjoy with no things but not like those. But how many .

five hundred butterfinger snacks?

IT was great. IT was great. I don't talk about IT because ah you're in your g just like thinking about .

sugar is making me angry because I want IT so good.

We had crumblings like I have a sugar problem like IT is about is very ad. It's very dict. I have to I have to do talks. I mean, I have at this point, but I don't want to go back to IT. You don't bad, but god, those crumble kies are so good.

Fine baLance. Yeah actually .

problem to drink.

I'd have one in the morning and then that's that sometimes i'm too maybe too today because right now i'm fading fast.

My thing.

he was like, he's like, I think we were talking about you. He's like, I just remember just in universal and every we would turn a new band and he would have another type of sweet treat. He was like a slushy, or like a prizes or like a icecream or like a dona is like every corner SHE had tickets off.

Okay, sean, i'm pretty sure every corner you also had to get something .

you're not wrong for his .

child by o no universal trip. I was on hinge. Do you a big donor that we had that other lushy bob thing we had?

I had a slushy. T what was that? A blue drink you got at the end of the ice cream? No, I was on blue slushy with like a and I think was the I.

So that was at least three and I think there was I I enjoyed .

every moment of IT and he's like five .

hundred dollars and just.

well, oh my gosh, we also went to the maro, had a, had the cupcake. We had something else. No, we had every desert there. We had every dessert yeah.

they look like the term to the princess cupcake.

There was like .

another .

something OK.

but that was a, imagine you'd be off the charts to share that day yeah.

that's crazy anyway anyway, but IT has been interesting trying to do judit with this on because i'm so afraid it's going to rip out out yeah so far it's made of three, like three classes. So we'll see how last to get. Come here for a two and half hour last the night.

You could if you were like jane ll give you ten thousand dollars to do two and half hour class. I'd like a well call, but two am so tired today. I feel like i'll take good.

I know. No, nobody he's laugh is for me. I i'll take good like we got an hour back from daylight, but I just feel and. My favorite was when he first stayed with me, was I was like, I think I was like, hey, i'm going to be the kind of busy you look, entertain yourself as like more so meaning you like, just like make my house, your house like, do come and go as you want like, I don't care like, I don't care you want to do because you know, when someone staying with you, sometimes you feel like you to entertain but like if i'm staying with someone like I just won't .

left alone .

jet as a great guest .

I buy I don't know I mean, like if you want to hang out with, you're probably not going to I mean.

it's like we hanging out and then like i'm ready yeah no, I just love the sound .

of the garbage man. My car is is parked .

very close to IT. No, there's what you moved IT ever.
